Yes. Several guys in the store have LCPs/P3ATs and 238's. They take the 238's to the range and run 200-300 rounds at a time through them. You won't do that with an LCP/P3AT. The price is worth it.

Yeah, I see that. The one I was looking at must have been an older one becasue it was different. I'm with you now. Either way the problem arises from inefficient cross refrencing material. I had it backwards. BTW - I didn't doubt you, just couldn't figure out what I was missing.
-
I know the difference. That's what we are taking about. When I read TN code 39-17-1351 there is no (h)(3). The last entry the hcp code is what I referenced above. What am I missing? I talk to these folks and this is also what they have told me directly.
-
That's incorrect. The state only checks with the TBI and the local sherriffs office for HCP permits. The TICS is run through the FBI's database system. Not sure how those have different information, but this would not be the first time cross refrencing information across agencies has been faulty and ineeficient. TN Code: 39-17-1351 Accroding to the TN code nothing is sent out of state. One set of fingerprints stays with the Sheriffs dept. and the other with the TBI. Read the above code and then compare to the TICS check:
-
Not exactly. The HCP background check only checks the TN records and does not pull the full federal records. We have seen people who just got their permits be denied on a gun purchase. Reason being the TICS check is run on the federal system and covers much more. For instance something shows up in a state other than TN so they get cleared on the permit but denied on the purchase. As far as expungments go, make sure they get pushed all the way through the Federal system. A lot of denials happen becasue the charge is still pending on the federal level while being expunged on the state level. A lot of lower cost lawyers will only do it half way and not finish the job. This is why a lot of denials get over turned on appeal. It just makes it easier to check both the federal and state records.

As has been stated many times, there are NO driving/road rights - Only privileges.
-
I don't as I'm refrencing drivers ed from 18+ years ago! haha. I do know most of that (at least fomr my Arkansas experience ) has to do with agriculture machinery etc. Thing about this stuff is that some folks are in such a hurry to get to the next stop sign/light just to wait.

IIRC, You can cross a double yellow to overtake traffic moving slower than 20 (25?) mph of the posted limit. They can't be fined anymore than you can.

Wow, somewhere context and reading comprehension got lost and the mole hill turned into a mountain. Anyway, I thought I was helping by answering a question I thought was sincere. Animals are animals and when humans allow or cause them to break a normal relationship and they act outside the boundaries of those normal relationships they are what we call on the farm "ruined". For instance when a dog becomes overly aggressive and looses it's ability to restrain his attack instinct he cannot function normally again. That's not to say they can't live a decent life somewhere, but most of the time they require special attention and controlled environments to help them. The fact that animals can not reason and "grow" past abuse and put it into a livable context the way a human can is the difference between abused humans and animals. Didn't think it was that complicated, but I guess it was. The scripture verse quoted in the OP was a practical application of this reality in a herding society who understood animal tendencies and nature. Talking about chasing rabbits. Maybe thats what the German Shepperd needed.

Mike, its all starting to make sense now!

Spend some time on a farm.

+1. Half the fun is going thorugh the process and the layers (no pun inteded!). If there is no process it gets pretty boring. Kinda like making the Super Bowl into a two play, sudden death, OT type only game.

Same reason you put down dogs/animals that bite and kill. Once they cross those barriers they are ruined. Another reason to manage our animals the right way.

If only there were a larger caliber upper that would work with this ......... nah.

Here is the newest one. Sabre Upper/Lower with 18" SPR stainless fluted middy barrel, Vortex FH, Vltor stock, Troy MRF rails, EOTech 512, Magpul Al winter trigger guard, Magpul BUIS, and Tango Down grip.

Traded the MSAR for this baby and I think I did alright. I liked the MSAR but it was just too long for my kids to shoot well and there isn't a .22 conversion for it. This I plan to add either a .22 conversion or a dedicated upper so I can afford to take my kids shooting more. Anyway, here it is. Stag lower, Sabre Upper with 18" SPR stainless fluted middy barrel, Vortex FH, Vltor stock, Troy MRF rails, EOTech 512, Magpul Al winter trigger guard, Magpul BUIS, and Tango Down grip.

Personally, I think they have maxed out. For awhile they had gone up to $800 and I would say that is the ceiling. I've watched them go for $350 (where they should be) 5 years ago to where they are now. They are coming down in price and will probably lock into the $450-$550 range and stay. The ban nonsense will never happen unless they ban a whole lot of other shotguns so while it is not out of the realm of possibility I don't see it happening. That being said I think they will hold their value in the $500-$550 range and would be a great shotgun for anyone. As a collector piece not so much but as a shooter and more fun than you will know what to do with gun!

Probably EFK Firedragon. Good barrels. I have used them a number of times. Pistol and Gun Accesories | EFK Fire Dragon

Yes, you can get a 9mm or 357 SIG conversion barrel and it will work in the .40 slide. It has to be a conversion barrel and not just a standard barrel to work. As far as the recoil spring you may want to change springs but it is not mandatory. The only thing it might do is not cycle light load 9mm.

Can't speak for Hawkeye, but of the 3 full-size 9's I've had the first one was awesome from the factory, the second was awful (very very "gritty"), and the third has been normal. Don't know why the discrepancy but I'm told that is normal. Reports are that they all get a lot better after using them for awhile.

Remeber on the Saiga 12 the shepherds crook has to be filled down to clear the bolt.

Not a big fan of the SAW grip. The Molot grip is far better. Molot Style AK Pistol Grip - MD ARMS [MDGrip] - $19.99 : Mississippi Auto Arms, Inc ::, Your Source for Saiga, AK47, AR15, Tromix, Glock, and SKS firearms and accessories

The reason for the price difference is the precision in the grinding of the glass. To get a near perfect concave lens takes time and precision equipment. The more expensive scopes are ground better than cheaper ones. This is the main reason for the high dollar scopes being better. A precision ground lens is what gives you clarity, light transmission, etc. That being said, the Japanese do this very well and at a cheaper cost. They can do that because their scopes are an extension of their pricier photo lens buisness. I have been impressed with the Nikon's as many have mentioned. I have a Nikon Team Primos (early Monarch) that is excellent.

I get to play with these all day long every day and personally I think the M&P is a better gun. Reliability and aftermarket support are pretty much even. The Glocks reset is more positive but with the Apex they are nearly identical. What tips the scales way over (IMO) is the use of stainless components (barrel, slide, etc,) and the enormously better ergo's of the M&P.
