  1.   Haha. Nice one. Did we ever get an answer as to which forum to post jokes to?
  2. As a non-Tennessean, I have to say the Barrett is what sprung immediately to mind.
  3.   +1. I don't get heated up or angry, I just cut the call. Not that I don't think the callers have it coming, it's just not worth the aggravation.   Now, my father in law would keep them on the phone and tie them up with crazy stuff for as long as possible just for the fun of it.
  4. 9 and 45 at Dickson too. I think there may have been some 7.
  5.   Perhaps we should have a Starbucks appreciation d... Oh wait.
  6.     I think his point is that "stupid names" is in the eye of the beholder. It's just a series of sounds and culture and country can affect how it appears to your ears.   Indeed, many names in common use have a similar origin to "Messiah" (I was particularly surprised by the name "Jesus" not being much (at all) exposed to Mexicans growing up) so while it's not a name I'd pick for my child, it's not all that out there really.
  7.   Be careful. Divide and conquer is their M.O.
  8.     That's not coffee, it's a milkshake :p
  9. I think I'd rather be doing that before he gets there than during. Then I can have my hands clearly atop the steering wheel with papers visible.   After all, someone reaching over and fiddling *could* be getting a gun. Or they could have the gun withing easy reach anyway and not have to fiddle. Probably not a good idea to make assumptions.
  10. I often don't carry and don't bother to inform cops when I don't.   I have had extra cops turn up when I informed them I had a HCP and was carrying (maybe just a coincidence).   I have never, as far as I know, got preferential treatment for handing my HCP over (no moreso than not doing so). This, even on one where I though they could have let it slide.   Careful cops will always be on the lookout whether you have a HCP or not. As we all know, you don't need a HCP to carry illegally and it's the work of milliseconds to draw and fire. It's largely irrelevant to their job. (Though I do want them to be warned in advance if I am carrying).
  11.   Open your ears and listen to some of the names around you. This isn't really a bullying name unless the kid is prone to attract bullies in any case.   Edit: I think Germy covered it pretty well.
  12.   Just ragging on you for your use of the word "literally". Unless the activists are actually in a boat and Starbucks are firing cannons, it's not literal :)
  13. Except for the "literally" part ;)
  14.     That's for sure. There's usually a few good things at GC.
  15. Anyone have a link to a primer for all these options? I haven't paid much attention to the AR-15 to date.
  16.   Farmers? I don't remember gator and the rest of the fair is pretty meh.
  17.   Yes. I'm thinking of his character from 30 rock. Which doesn't seem all that different from when I've seen Baldwin out of character.   I have a Daily show with him on it on the DVR. I'll have to dig into it.
  18. This seems like just a shot across the bows of the activists. Starbucks *could* have got a lot more serious about things if they really wanted to exclude guns from their stores. It would be nothing for them to have included a bunch of "no gun" signs along with a delivery. I think they're just saying "calm down y'all".
  19. We should expect LEOs to be on edge in 2013 why?   (Note: I know it was point 2 but the autonumbering changed it)
  20. He reminds me a lot of Alec Baldwin.
