1. So I won the Sig 1911-22 from Guns and Leather last week. While cleaning on Thursday, I noticed a large "chunk" of coating that had been scraped off the last 1/2 inch of the barrel as well as a "chunk" off the recoil spring lug. Also some finish was removed on the rear of the chamber port. I called Sig yesterday, and emailed them the pics. Today they emailed me back saying they would replace the recoil spring lug, and the rest was "normal" wear? I know I did not "pay" for this weapon, but I am still a customer. This resolution does not suit me, and I am wondering if this is typical of Sig? I am really wondering if Sig deserves any of my hard earned money? John

Yes, sL1k, the GSG and SIG 1911 22 are the exact same gun from what I have read and heard.

I Won!!!!

Put about 300 rounds through her today.......frickin great gun! Ok, there are complaints about FTF, or FTE and so on. First up, this gun has an adjustable trigger. If you have feed problems, then the trigger may be too light and may double fire, count your shots and tell me I am wrong! I have talked with friends who have picked up "cheap" guns ( A Kimber a budy of mine picked up for $400 because it was "double firing")that wouldn't work worth a damn, but put a 1/4 turn in the adjustment screw, and BAM.....no more problems. This is NOT a competition target pistol, so drop that complaint. I was shooting Remington Gold Tips, noticable difference between 7yds and 10yds (these I am guessing, I was at G&L in Hville). I also had to replace the front sight, came with the 3 dot installed. I put the 2 dot on and it was dead nerts on. After about 200 rds I ran the bore brush through her, and accuracy was much better. As a 1911 chambered in .22, it is awesome. Being a full size pistol you get to work on your grip, something I needed greatly. Also I got to see how my funky stance was goofing up my accuracy. I own and shoot a .45, Ruger P90, and throwing 300 rounds of .22 instead of .45 saved me about $175. I love this gun, and it will def. not be a safe queen. Edit: as of 12/04/2012 While cleaning on Thursday, I noticed a large "chunk" of coating that had been scraped off the last 1/2 inch of the barrel as well as a "chunk" off the recoil spring lug. I Won!!!!

Ok, so a little background...I am 42, and originally from Rochester NY...that said I was in G&L on Friday 11/23/2012 to purchase the Christmas present my wife is going to give to me, a .270 Ruger American rifle, cool I know...she is the best! So, they give me a piece of paper to put my name and ph.# for a raffle, I half heartedly listened because I almos NEVER win anything.( I won a 5th of Jack single barrel March of this year) I get a call at 3:05pm on Sunday, I think...wtf is calling me on Sunday....heh...G&L calling to say I won a Sig 1911 22....effin A right? Now, the irony....I am a NY'r, but in 6 mos I win a bottle of Jack and a gun...my friends up north have not stopped with the "you might be a redneck" jokes...but I say...I love it!! Plus WE have no snow and better hunting regs!!
6. I won the Sig 1911-22 from G&L this past weekend, hope my luck holds out for this one as well!
7.
I don't care for camo rifles, but that does look good. I might have to rethink my stance.
Ditto here
8. Wanting to get into yote hunting, and I am kind of unclear as to WMA use. From what I can make of it, you can only hunt for yotes on WMA during Deer gun season and you must have a big game license to do it. As far as the rest of the year, you cannot hunt yotes on WMA land? I kind of feel lost here. I have emailed the TWRA, but have not heard anything back yet. Any help would do. I am completely new to coyote hunting, but I am wanting to learn. I am hoping to pick up a .243 for Christmas. John
9. Thanks everyone, great info. I was already leaning towards the 92fs(def not the 92-two), but the info on the Ruger was awesome too. I may end up with both, but one at a time for right now. JH
10. First off, I havent posted in a long time, soooo.......hey! I am looking for a new pistol, and wanted opinions from folks that already own one of them. 1) Beretta 92fs 2) Ruger SR40 I like Glocks, Sig, and most models of pistols.I am just looking for 1 more for the collection. What I have heard about the Beretta92 is that the Italian made would be better than the US made? Keep it clean kids. Lets get it on!

Ruger P90

I also got one for Christmas...2 years ago. I did have a hard time finding holsters, I ended up with a comp-tac IWB kydex for normal carry. I am looking into the Galco Fletch, since it has a hammer strap on it. I am extremely happy with the Comp-Tac holster, it has a clip on the side, so I can wear it with or without a belt. I have worn it with drawstring beach shorts, and it worked like a champ! As far as ammo, I have put all kinds through my P90, and it eats it all.
15. Absolutely....+++++1 Indoor range without a doubt is G n L!!

Feedback Please!

I never got a dang DVD. I love free crap, especially if it comes in the mail. Send me everything you got, and multiply it by 100 next week! Man I love to find my mailbox crammed with useless crap from free tampons to DVD's!

Zee CZ SP-01 Review

Opulence....I has it! My wife hates that I love this commercial.....Nice pistol, I too was looking at it, and I hate you for buying it! But we can make up and be friends again if you are heading to the range anytime soon?
24. Mike, you can...but it is best to stay with your bag untill TSA has put it through the scanner. If they need it unlocked they will ask you to do so. If you leave they will page you back to the counter and if you have already made it through the security checkpoint, this can be a major PIA. As an airline employee, I see this all the time. Tip of the day.......if you are going to check a firearm, get to the airport at least 1 1/2 hours before your flight dseparts! This will give you plenty of time to properly check your weapon in, and deal with tose folks that may be less than helpfull regardless of what airline you choose. Then you have time to stop at Starbucks for a $14 cup of coffe like liquid.
25. I have seen a stripped stock at the range a few months ago...lemme tell you....wow what a sorry look. Looked like a tactical 2X4 to be honest. Had no character whatsoever! I kept my stock original, and I took it to a friends BBQ and shoot, and dudes there had .50 cal Barret and several other "high tech" weapons and they all stopped and wanted to fondle and shoot my Mosin.....
