Plain and simple douchebaggery! Ya gotta love those liberals, with their "We just wanna help" type attitude. Arent they just so cute? BOOT TO THE HEAD! -
You can also check with one of the local Fire Departments, is what I did. It was quick and easy, dudes where very cool. Just don't catch em while they are running out the door or at meal time!

I kinda feel like I cheated on my wife when I saw the pictures.....if ya know what I mean....nice pistol!!

Was supposed to be off, but was invited to spend 7 lovely hours at work this evening. Ya gotta love double time.

I plan on removing some yotes from a friends property with my 91/30.....we have no use for the pelts, so the 7.62x54 is perfect for "disposing" of most of the animal.

Was supposed to go out on the 1st, but the trip just got cancelled. Ohhhh well.

gimme the heat baby....snow sucks, but fall is awesome as well. I grew up on the south eastern edge of lake ontario in upstate NY. 30 inches of snow overnight is way over rated! This is as far north as I will ever live!

Shot it again today. Used the wind ex trick, then cleaned it thoroughly. man, it took a ton of patches to get even remotely clean. John

I work at BNA, doing weight and balance type stuff. I board passangers, do weight and balance computations, get fuel ordered etc. for SWA.

First Time Carrying this Weekend - Defective Guns?
Angus replied to M1_Garand's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Congrats on not being one of the "Most Wanted"! I can't believe the metal detectors in the movie theatre didn't pick up on.....ohhhh...you said glock....the invisible, evasive, tactical tupperware of the evil empire....nuff said. -
I don't own the 345, but I have a P-90, yep I am big...6'3 and 280, and I carry (not every day) with no real problems. I had to find that perfect 3 o'clock position so it would stop pulling my pants down, sounds weird but true. I use an IWB Comp-Tac holster, and have worn this weapon with cargo shorts and a tank top (top a size or so bigger than normal). On the topic of Ruger, I can't say enough good things. My pistol consistantly shot 2 inches low, had a friend shoot it, same thing. I called Ruger, talked to a gunsmith there, in 12 days I had my new rear sight no charge, no screwing around. This P-90 is awesome, so I hope the 345 will be too.

Yep...thanks Pie, I know the difference between em, and yes the rust got so bad I used CLR. Kinda sucks that I had to, but I did, and I would not reccomend to anyone letting their firearm get this bad. John...."OP"
-
Well, got her cleaned finally. I did use CLR, and boy did it work. I would not recommend using it regularly, but I poured some (about 1/4 cup) right down the barrel and man did the rust dissolve. I got a small drop on the outside of the receiver, and it took the bluing off pretty quick too. Anyone who is curious about cleaning their Mosin.......don't let it sit for 6 weeks....trust me. The Windex right after you shoot, and a good cleaning when you get home is the only way to go. John
-
Ok, I got my mosin, I shot and cleaned my mosin..then shot it again and was going to clean it when I got home when I got called into work. 3 days later I went into the hospital to have my appendix out, and here I am 1 month later, and took the gun out to find rust all over the end of the barrel. My question is, has anyone used CLR on their Mosin, or what would be best to get her all cleaned up? John

Heh....bannana seat chopper, I got my frame out of the neighbors garbage and built the bike....my dad was pissed! Matchbox cars were tops, and hotwheels were left to have a model rocket engine taped to them and launched off of the ramp we had built. I wasn't allowed to own a BB gun, so I kept mine at a friends house, got busted with it, and they took it away.....all 6 times. Rode my bike everywhere around Rochester NY, I still don't know how I have been overweight my whole life....too many snickers bars and Jolt cola!

Not a complete blank check....under $300 though. And yeah Mike, my appendix was probably worth way less than $250 but we arent telling HER that!

Ok, so Friday 6/18 I was leaving for Minnesota for 8 days of pure fishing bliss....a trip we take every other year with the in-laws and I love it. Back up to Sunday 6/13. I leave work feeling a bit under the weather at approximately 4pm. By 10 pm I am hurling my brains out, and by midnight I am in the emergency room. By 3 am Monday morning I am admitted into Hedersonville hospital to have my appendix removed......F'n A. Now, here I sit 1 week later, 14lbs lighter, feeling like complete crap still, and not fishing in Minnesota. Now, here is my dillema.......heh My wife wants to know what she can "BUY" me to make me feel better...( yeah I got it like that). So I was windo shopping on Bud's, and decided to come here for more advice. I have been wanting a Highpoint 9mm carbine, they have just captured my attention and everyone says how fun the are to shoot....soo that is the direction I am leaning in. I'll keep you posted, please...any other suggestions are welcome...as well as "get well ammo" Angus

Long Hunter State park, there is a great place for kids to fish for bluegills. You can catch dozens, mostly small ones, but fun for kids. Bring crickets. Enter the park, and it is the 2nd right hand turn I believe. from where you park, it is roughly 50 to 75 yards to the rocks you can sit on, water is 2 or 3 feet below you. I used to take the nephews there all the time.
