  1. You should cautiously cultivate some relationships with these guys. If they like you, they may open up to the public to feed their cashbox. I work with them, and have for 15 years, and have only been invited once. They seem to never have availability for me when I have followed up, so don't count on it. It isn't that they arent cool guys, some are some arent. But not all the weapons they fire belong to the BNA-PD, so then there is the liability thing. It does suck though, I know that for a fact.
  2. RW...you want the Dr name or the nurses name? I think both of them were married, but I bet you could persuade one of them....possibly?
  3. S.O.B......can-o-worms, makes my nuts hurt more
  4. Ok...so I am just asking to ask.... What about a 9mm carbine...like the Hipoint? I know it will kill the coyote, but is it effective for putting them down in 1 shot?
  5. Ahhhhhhhhh, I knew this would be my day. You kids have me laughing and my boys aching...in a good way. BTW..yeah, they taped me in the UP position, and his nurse, well...wasn't worth breaking the tape if ya get me.
  6. I need to check the funds, I have been told several times that CIS is the place to go.
  7. bag in pain
  8. Yep, that is what I wrote, I have officially been disarmed as of yesterday!! Well, I still have my 2 pistols, a shotgun, and my trusty old Mosin, but...I am offially (semi-officially) shooting blanks! Yep, I got a vasectamy. Just an FYI for those of you that have not had one, and are thinking, I have felt no pain whatsoever. They sedated me, did their thing to my thing, and woke my big arse up. Viola, done deal! If you are in/around Nashville, and need this done, I would def check out Dr. Mark Flora at Urology Associates. Great dude, and took real good care of me and mine, if you know what I mean! Angus Edit: 1/25/10...my bad.....can't even blame med for that one, just being............. dickslexic
  9. Former NY'r here, welcome dude.
  10. Not posted in Hendersonville.....carry on in there.
  11. Heh...so much for "Protect and Serve" as far as DC is concerned
  12. Spy bot and Ad-aware are good "removal" tools. I have been hit with this bug twice from google now. I think some DB just keep planting it there.
  13. "Obligation" to protect puts you in a different place mentally when you carry, IMHO. Sometimes I carry, sometimes I do not. I personally do not go anywhere that I feel unsafe. I grew up in NY state, in a city a little bigger than Nashville, and have been in some bad situations....life experience teaches you alot I guess? I feel obligated to protect no one else but myself and my family. As has been brought up, I would not stand by and watch as a BG opens fire, but I do not enter every situation thinking" who has a gun, who might be the weakest here, who do I need to look out for"...man talk about a long f***** day!! This is why LEO's are way underpaid!! Thanks to all the LEO's here that do what you do for the "sheep"....as has been termed. Angus
  14. My tally so far, Strick and Mike have the top 2 responses, Metal comming in tight at #3. Let me guess, this dude didn't get the job at G&L? It is ok man, the great Hope maker says there will be tons of jobs, just re-elect him!!
  15. ^^^^^ 5 yeah, same goes for me...but maybe I am just a cynic. BTW: Just because you own a gun, doesn't automatically make you "the world's nicest person". Although I have been told I am up for that award, a HCP is not a personallity test or character reference.
  16. The TBI itself is in a crap part of town, you may end up actually working. Opry Mills area has some cool stuff to do, yeah it's just another mall. Close by is downtown with alot to offer, to the south by about 5-8 miles. North of the TBI is Hendersonville, about 8-10 miles away, which has a cool set of shops called "the streets at Indian Lake" or something to that effect. Good eats and a movie theater there. I personally like Buffalo Wild Wings and Mimi's. There is a Walmart in Hendersonville for any stuff you might have forgotton at home. Since I live in Hendersonville, if you couldn't tell, I do all my stuff up here if I can. It is a small town, but lots to do. EDIT: and close to Bill's shop as well PS: if you like cajun food, there is a place called Steam Boat Bill's up here that is AWESOME!! I travel alot for work, so I know about needing good eats, and a good Walmart!! Angus
  17. Nope, hides arent gonna be saved, just some friends who don't like guns or meat like coyote's even less. For now that is all I have rifle wise.
  18. What about a Mosin? 7.62x54 is a good sized round, is it too big for Coyotes?
  19. Valentino's Nashville Fine Dining Italian Restaurant. Join us for Lunch or Dinner. This is my reccomendation. The wife and I love it here. If you like ceaser salsd, they make it fresh tableside. They do the same with their bannana's foster. I have never been dissappointed here. Very cozy and romantic.
  20. Man, what a trip. This rifle rocks. I really need to thank Daniel and the folks up at G&L. Mamma says thanks too!! Shot damn near perfect at 25yds, and pretty good at 50yds. I haven't shot a rifle since I was 15, so I was feeling pretty good. I stopped shooting it after about 40 rounds. Was using a rest, and...well...I have never used one before. Didn't have the weapon up against my shoulder. Just went on to my pistols. Met quite a few great folks over at CHMR, directed them this way. Angus
  21. Boy howdy...iffin I ever get a chrome pistol it will definately be a Davis 380!! Probably can't afford such a fine piece, and mine will most def be a Czec remake or something.
  22. I see where they were, don't know if they still do, charging a fee to speak to and english speaking tech.. Even more of a premium if you want one in the US....kinda weird, but if people pay then whatever?
  23. Had a Dell for 6 years, it worked great. But for what I wanted Dell wanted almost twice as much. I tried to "customise" my Dell, but they wouldn't upgrade the power supply unless I bought an Alienware( I guess that is an F-350?). Dell supplies good computers to people who just use what is in the box. I have a need to upgrade things because that is who I am and what I do. Probably the same reason not all shotguns come with the standard 24 inch barrel. I love the ASUS, while I didn't pay $250 for it, I sure as hell did not give Dell $1500 for it. Daniel, I woulda let ya build me one, but then I would have come home with the new comp and probably a couple pistols.....that woulda been bad!
  24. Irish/Irish...dad came from Ireland in 1947. Mom's dad came from Ireland in 1910 or so. Mom's mom's parents came from Ireland late 1800's.
  25. yep....why not?
