  1. I have a brother that still lives up north and has more money than most people I know or will ever know. He had a beautiful high end ranch Brick home on 50+ acres of land. It was 3 bedrooms and master at one end of the house and their two children lived on the other end with bedrooms next to each other. He spoiled them rotten with cars and spending money while they were growing up. They had it so good they decided to just stay home after high school. They did and finally the oldest , the boy decided to get a Bachelor pad so dad provided the money for it and poof, he was gone. That left the daughter at home. She decided to do pretty much the same thing so dad sets her up in her own place. Poof she was gone. On the following Monday morning the contractor arrived and asked him what he wanted done. He said I want those to rooms removed from the end of the house and it closed back up just like those rooms never existed. Once that was done he contacted both of them and told them the free ride was over and they had 1 month to get a job because his paying their bills was over. They both busted their butts to get to the house only to learn they didn't have bedrooms any more. They were both in shock. He said welcome to the real world. The daughter had an out. Her boyfriend had just proposed to her so she got married. Lasted about 3 months. the boyfriend thought he was marrying into money was the only reason he married her. I have not spoke to him or any of the kids since 2006 when he called me when I had my heart attack to see if I survived it but that was only because my step daughter found his number in my phone and called him first. It was about 8 years before that and none since then. He always felt he was better then the rest of the family so I figure nothing lost there anyway. I just thought it was cool the way he moved his to dead beat kids out...................    That girl in the video here reminded me so much of his two kids it is scary.
  2. If I think I am going to die anyway I'm going down doing my best to take a few bad guys with me. Refuse to go quietly into the night.....JMHO
  3. I got to go to the original Woodstock...................  Shipped out 9 days later..............
  4. I think about 1/2 of the population is Muslim and I heard they just now closed their borders about 10 minutes ago. That is about like closing the gate after the horses have got out. In this case the horses got in and they closed the gates.
  5. I will tell you what shocked me about CCR OS. They had I think either 33 or 35 hit songs go to #2 and never had a #1 hit and I loved all their music. I couldn't believe it when their Proud Mary didn't go #!
  6. I have not bought a new CD of Rock-N-Roll that extends pass the 60's and early 70's so that must make me really out of touch. I'm back in the days of Steppin Wolf, the Door's, Janice Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Three Dog Night and the likes of all of them. I still play those CD's from time to time. It surprised me when my Son stopped in one day and I had Steppin Wolf on and it was Magic Carpet Ride and he laughed and called the band by name. He said he has that same CD. He actually likes the old music better than the newer Heavy Metal stuff but is still a KISS fan also..................    P.S. I was never ever a Beatles fan.............
  7. Since about age 8 I have own a firearm. 4.10 Shotgun and a 22 rifle. I was taught many safety issues by my parents before ever receiving either firearm. From an even younger age I was taught to have the utmost respect for Police Officers and Firemen as both of them are their to help when help is needed. To this day I still have the utmost respect for both and also respect for what a firearm is capable of doing. I passed all that on to my children and my children have all passed it on to their children and they all own guns and have not killed anyone. The most important part of this entire issue is parents doing what is right and not politicians. Taking a toy gun away from a child by a police officer may just make that child resent that officer more than respect him/her for doing what an elected official required that officer to do. And with laws like this it is no wonder why many people are turning on the police. This does not help the image of the police but instead hurts it in the eyes of children..............jmho
  8.   I don't think anyone will burn you over this. I think most would do the same thing or something similar. This day in time people must realize that many more people are legally carrying than say 10 years ago and if they even give a second thought to what they are doing they might not get shot. I will do what ever I need to if I feel my life is in danger of harm or death. That is called survival and normally is instinct to most people..............jmho
  9. I try not to use Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops for any business transactions. I have only been to the local BPS here about 4 times since it opened and that was only because a friend or two invited me to ride along. Only thing I bought every time was outboard motor oil for my Skeeter Bass Boat because they had it on sale. I try and do most of my business with Mom & Pop locations as much as possible........jmho
  10. Kasey is definitely my kid and lucky to say his cell phone was in the house and mine was in my Jeep but I would have gone in regardless to save her...............
  11. I have heard of police being able to track an accident victim to their location in the country by using cell phones as long as the cell phone is turned on. It has been known to have save a few lives but I think it still borders on Invasion of Privacy or illegal with out a warrant.........jmho
  12. Prayers coming your way for sure..........
  13. Thanks and yea, shes ok but it took me and my buddy to get about 90 lbs of wet dog out of the lake............ :ugh: She was in about 4 feet of water and let me say this, "man that lake is COLD" I was :hyper: all over when I got out!!!  I know now not to let her near water with out a life jacket on....................
  14.          I never knew till about an hour ago that Kasey cannot swim. I thought swimming came natural to all dogs but I guess I learned something new. I went to visit a buddy of mine that lives on the lake and we walked down to his boat house and dock to look at the lake. She was in the yard and decided she was going to come out on the dock with me and I guess she thought she could walk on water. She came running at the dock wide open but not the walkway but at the water. When she hit the water I watched her and she didn't even try to swim but began to sink. I had to go in the water and hold her up till my buddy could get in the water to help me get her out.    He looked at me and said hell, that dog can't swim and I said evidently not cause she was going down and not even attempting to dog paddle at all. I guess from now on when I go visit him I will put a life jacket on her to keep her from drowning..................
  15. I stopped looking on Google after 14+ pages of it..........................
  16. Yep, Aches and pains for me is was got me out of the woods plus I always had to have someone else come and pick up my deer. Physical limitations prevented me from doing it on my own. Body is held together with mesh and bailing wire....... Doctor says 5 lbs limit on any lifting period so unless I had a partner or family member able to go with me I had to call someone if I put one down so I just quit hunting deer. That was why I decided to pick my best hours to hunt between 8 AM and 1PM because those were my best hours and a chance to bag one...........
  17. The last 10 years i hunted I seldom got in the woods before 8:30AM and most times bagged a deer between 10:00 Am and 1PM. I think the deer know that many hunters leave the woods for lunch break and return in the evening and it seems they begin to move more during those hours so just something to put back in your memory bank for future references..........jmho
  18. Thank you to all my fellow vets on this day and hope that your day is filled with all things good..............Happy Veterans Day.......... :usa:   Make sure if you can you call a fellow vet you served with just to let them know you are thinking of them on this day......
  19. Prayers coming your way for her and sincerely hope things come out ok for all concerned..........
  20. I'm in...........
  21. I raised a baby Ferret back years ago and they are incredible creatures to watch. I kept him until he was about 3 years old and it was funny when I would turn him out in the house and everyone would pick their bare feet up in the air to prevent a toe getting bit. After Grand babies began showing up I had to move him on to some friends of mine and they kept him till he died of old age at about age 10..............
  22. I think Willard and Teddy are just adorable...............More great furry friends.............. I have become a lover of all furry critters as I get older............
  23.   That was kind of my thinking but with all of the gun trash out there it would be hard to figure how any judge is going to look at it unless she gets a older female judge that may see her side to a point. If the parking lots was as busy as they said, I don't know if she is really going to have a real case of fear for her life. If it were late at night or a more secluded place maybe. Just don't know.....
  24. Here is a friend I had to have put down in 2010 after he suffered several heart attacks and suffered from an enlarged heart 3 times normal size. His name was Buttons and was actually my wife's dog till she passed away in 1997. I took care of him after she passed. He tolerated Kasey but Kasey also knew he was the boss and never pushed that issue. He had a real bluff in on her since he only had 4 teeth and when he would growl at her she would hunker down and slowly move away from him. Because of his red eyes many of my friends called him a Devil Dog.......lol . He was 15 when he died. 25. I saw the interview on the news last night and I do have mixed thoughts on this issue but after listening to other witnesses at the scene I'm gonna say she is going to be charged as stated. I only have a few questions at this point that seems odd and that is the guy approaching a woman loading groceries in her car and he approaches a complete stranger and asks for a light for a cigarette and then later cannot be found to be interviewed by news media for comment. They didn't have any trouble finding so called witnesses but not the guy that called 911? They also have a video of the entire incident that I would like to see. There is a few questions I would like answered before passing any type of judgement in the case...............jmho
