  1. Another bump, with more relaxed trading options. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  2. Stephen King is an imaginative and generally excellent writer. Too bad he's also a whining communist with an extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (Type 1). But there are a lot of entertainers and professional athletes with the same characteristics. It doesn't detract from their ability to do some things well. Just don't look to them for guidance in anything outside their professions. Cheers, Whisper
  3. I have one of the Tisas 1911s on the way from Palmetto State Armory and I want to get a few things done to it -- stipple the front strap, install better fixed sights, and just generally check it out to make sure it's functioning flawlessly. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks, Whisper
  4. As long as there are employers who are willing to hire illegals, they'll keep coming. Neither political party will do anything to impose penalties on those employers, and we all know why. And thus the illegal immigration problem continues.
  5. There used to be organized matches there, back maybe six or eight years ago (and maybe farther back than that; time passes quickly these days). They shot monthly IDPA matches there, although the rules sometimes deviated from the IDPA rulebook. Don't recall what group used to run them. I also attended a combat shotgun match there once, and it was much fun despite being held in steady rain. Haven't been there in quite a while now. Cheers, Whisper
  6. Man, I love that Tisas 1911. Not crazy about the holster or else I'd be buying that rig. I may be inspired to make similar grips for one of my own 1911s. Beautiful gun.
  7. Man, this is a real deal. If I wasn't already flush with VP9s, I'd jump on this. Cheers, Whisper
  8. I get to Memphis about once a year; was just there in March, so not likely I'll be there anytime soon. Sorry. But maybe you want to visit Chattanooga and See Rock City? Thanks, Whisper
  9. Back to the top. If you don't need this great little .22, someone in your family probably does.
  10. SOLD. Thanks for looking. Excellent condition Springfield EMP 4, comes with box, three magazines, and all original accessories. This is a fantastic gun and I'm only selling it because I found a bobtail model and that one carries a little bit more discreetly. The EMP is pretty much the king of carrying-size 9mm 1911s. $625 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. Not really looking for trades, but if you have ideas, I'll consider. No ARs or Glocks needed. I live in Chattanooga and will drive a reasonable distance for deal. More photos available on request. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  11. Withdrawing from sale; I've decided I need to keep this one a little longer. Looking for a new home for this CZ75D Compact, supposedly unfired when it came to me and I haven't fired it, but I'll say condition is like new just to be on the conservative side. Comes with box and cleaning rods; papers were gone when it came to me. I'm told the G10 grips came with the gun, and they're sure nicer than the regular plastic ones I've seen. $600 to a TN resident legally able to purchase handguns. Not really looking for trades, but if you have ideas, I'll consider. No ARs or Glocks needed. I live in Chattanooga and will drive a reasonable distance for deal. More photos available on request. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  12. Is that middle one with the rifle sights still available? Thanks, Whisper
  13. Lots of good info there, Moped. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers, Whisper
  14. Agreed. I personally witnessed this happen twice at matches I was shooting in the 1990s. Both times with .40 Glocks firing lead bullets. I know several people who shoot P320s and say they're totally satisfactory, but the number of Kbooms and "uncommanded discharges" with these guns is concerning. I'd like to believe that whatever is causing the problem is confined to the 9mm version of the P320, and doesn't affect the .45 and 10mm versions, which have a different (larger) FCU. But I'm not sure of that.... Cheers, Whisper
  15. Any more details on this? Was it an ND, which would entirely be his fault, or was it one of the "uncommanded discharges" that are getting so much attention? Thanks, Whisper
  16. Man, I wasn't online yesterday because I was in Nashville. Could have easily picked this up. Unfortunately for me, I'm not going back up there for at least a few weeks. Maybe you want to come down and see Rock City? Cheers, Whisper
  17. How does he plan to mount it? If it's an R92 with a Picatinny rail, mounting one will be easy, but if the rifle doesn't have a rail, mounting an optic is going to be a challenge, plus it will look goofy. (Some guys will say a lever action with a rail already looks goofy, but I'm not going to get into that.) My opinion, which is worth everything you pay for it, is that he should start looking at Holosun models and find one with a window size and reticle that he likes. There are several possibilities. Cheers, Whisper
  18. Never heard of it, and I thought I knew about most of the BHP clones or near-clones. Cool gun. Thanks for posting, Whisper
  19. Reduced price. Someone please give this a loving home. Whisper
  20. Thanks for sharing an interesting video. I'd love to see this available in the US. I guess we'll have to wait and see. HK has always done things on their own schedule.... Cheers, Whisper
  21. Interesting gun. What's the story with that rear sight? Never seen one of those before. Thanks, Whisper
  22. Still available. Thanks for looking, Whisper
  23. Your SIG comments are applicable to the P220 10mm, but not to the P320 10mm, which is the easiest shooting 10mm I've ever fired (although I haven't fired the S&W). Of course, the P320 has its own challenges not related to the 10mm caliber.... Cheers, Whisper
  24. Just back from the NRA annual meeting in Atlanta, where I talked with a guy at the HK booth. He said he knows of no plans for HK to bring the SFP9CC to the US, but he also said, speaking of HK in Germany, "They don't tell us anything." He did add that HK is busy filling military contracts for the SFP9CC in Germany and other European countries, and they're already selling all they can make. Cheers, Whisper
  25. I don't know for sure and I doubt that anyone else on TGO does either, since HK is a secretive company and its decision-making processes arcane. But I would theorize that since the SFP9CC would compete directly against their new CC9, with the CC9 having a lower price, it's not likely we will see it in this country. I'd love to have one; just not expecting it to happen. Cheers, Whisper
