  1. Do you open every box of off-brands and confirm each one is of the correct caliber before you purchase? I didn't think so.
  2. I have no problems with differing head stamps. The thing is he said 3 different calibers. If that's accurate then it's a problem..
  3. As a former LEO myself, I agree with his observations. Most of the cops that I knew only fired their weapons on qualification day.
  4. 246 years young. Happy birthday to my fellow Marines. Semper Fi!
  5. Did you see where he said there's 3 different calibers?
  6. Yeah, that was funny to watch. A real "DOH!" moment.
  7. "He also said that even though he was armed with a handgun, he did not intend to shoot Rittenhouse." If a stranger was pointing a gun at me under these circumstances I wouldn't care to try to decipher what his intentions were. He'd be dead meat. There would also be a small "YES!" if I later found out he was a commie.
  8. If it was advertised as new Federal ammunition then report it to the State Attorney General as that is false advertising. It falls upon the AG to go after people who falsely advertise.
  9. Apparently, they are now made in Garland, Texas which is just outside Dallas area.
  10. Nice looking hat. When I lived in Kansas City, Missouri I went to the Stetson factory in St. Joseph. I tried on all sorts of hats, and the one that looked the best on me was almost a 10 gallon hat - probably because I'm a big dude. I couldn't bring myself to buying it because it was so big and I wasn't planning on becoming the new "Hoss" around Kansas City.
  11. When I was a LEO I was also a state-certified DUI instructor. During the coursework at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy they mentioned that it has been proven that drunks will steer towards lights rather than within their lane markers. It's part of the reason that traffic stops are the most dangerous frequent activity a LEO undertakes.
  12. I'm glad he cleared that up for us.
  13. They aren't mutts. They are called "designer" dog breeds. My only breeding female and male create "Teddy Bear" puppies that sell up to thousands of dollars each although we charge only $1,000 each. The practice is well-established and needs no apologies from me in doing so.
  14. It seems that you don't know what you are talking about.
  15. Not hardly. All of our dogs are pets and live in our home.
  16. The advantage with the Cavalier King Charles is that we can breed a female with our male Shih Tsu to have Cava Tsu puppies. I haven't seen any of those for sale around here.
  17. I'd love to teach him a lesson in manners.
  18. Thanks all. I think my wife has talked me into a gay-assed little dog called the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. I'll feel like the abominable snowman from Warner Brothers carrying it around:
  19. His reasoning seems sound but I think all Baldwin will get is a slap on his pee-pee.
  20. I've had the worst luck with mutts. Not a one of them were good companions. I have mostly had Rottweilers but they are solid blocks of bone and meat, and when they bump into my short wife with bad knees it almost drops her to the ground. Hell, I'm 6'4" and >300 lbs, and the Rotty that I used to have would come close to accidentally putting me down. Then there's the fact that home owner's insurance doesn't cover Rottweilers along with most large breeds. The Malinois is not on that list. We have 5 other little dogs in the house. Two are too slow or lazy to play. We have a Shih tsu that's about as dumb as can be running around the house. He's our stud that mates with our Zuchon to have Teddy Bear puppies. Fortunately, our Zuchon is VERY intelligent and offsets the father's dopey genes. The Zuchon and our female Rat Terrier LOVE to play ball, so I think they'd want to play with the Malinois. I work from home so the dog will be supervised well all of the time.
  21. I am looking into a new pet for me and I'm interested in the Belgian Malinois breed. I am looking for owners who can give the the good or bad about owning the breed. This will be a pet although intimidating unwanted visitors is a plus. I want a dog that isn't ridiculously priced and who can be a companion with me. This necessitates the dog being able to jump up and down out of my 4 x 4 pickup on its own power as a bad back doesn't want me lifting a dog in and out of the truck.
  22. Being a former Marine I was very excited to see Full Metal Jacket, (I got discharged the year before the movie was released). I took my wife to go see the movie and embarrassed her because I was laughing out loud during the boot camp scenes, and I was the only one laughing in the theater. I was laughing because it was so realistic to what real Marine Corps boot camp actually is and how the audience was reacting to it. It was mostly due to GSgt Ermey's lines. I had heard that he was hired to be a technical advisor on the movie, but the actor hired for the Drill Instructor part just couldn't get the part right so they hired Ermey to play it instead. Dale Dye is another former Marine turned technical advisor then to actor.
  23. I think you meant to show an A1 version. The A2 version didn't come to the Marine Corps until 1983 and to the Army in 1986. I was glad that I wasn't issued an M16 with the grenade launcher because it was one less item that I had to clean.
