  1. I work every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, but mornings are ok.
  2. Can't make it this Sunday but I definitely will be going soon. Please post a review of your visit and put in a good word for the TGO!
  3. Greetings from picturesque Oakland, Tennessee!!
  4. I've mentioned this in a previous thread (http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/35172-crossbreed-supertuck.html), but if you plan on doing a lot of holster draw training (speed draws), I HIGHLY recommend the combat cut. You'll have much better control of the weapon on your way to sighting.
  5. Thanks to everyone for their advice. All will be passed along to him.
  6. I realize that this is not an ideal photo, but at least you can see the height and size of the mount. If you like, I can take some close-up photos with my scope and holo sight.
  7. I tested mine by shooting 30 rounds with scope, switching to holo, firing 30 more rounds, then reattaching scope and firing 30 more. Came right back to zero for me. I will say that there is a set screw for adjusting the clamp for the rifle's picatinny rail that, if loosened, would affect your RTZ. You'll want to play with it to get it at the proper tension for your upper. Mine is perfect tuned so that I can pop off my scope and switch to my holo without changing my stance or firing hand grip. Once it's on, it's on!
  8. I know NCStar is not a "premium" brand of accessories, but I have two of their quick-release picatinny riser mounts for my AR optics, and I love them. The quick release is great for switching out scope for holo or iron sights. The mount is also adjustable so you can get a perfectly snug fit. 9. Just got my HCP in the mail; took just about a month.
  10. My brother is a longtime gun nut and wants to get an education in gunsmithing. He's in Memphis, but is interested in any programs or anyone willing to teach. Anyone got any advice?
  11. Greetings fellow Oaklander! I also work in Memphis, yet I reload not at all. Tell us about your arsenal.
  12. Welcome from the Fayette County Chapter!
  13. I am just happy they picked the Chinese as the invading army. Seems like the most believable (and scariest) scenario. The Chinese are Trying to Trick Us! Don’t Believe Them! | BeyondHollywood.com | Movie News, Reviews, and Opinions
  14. I'm considering buying a Charles Daly Tactical Pump 12 Gauge model CDGF2955, but I'm hearing static about a lack of available parts and accessories. Anyone wanna weigh in on this?
  15. Throw up some pics and I think we can do business.
  16. After taking the Self Defense Handgun course at RangeUSA, I definitely recommend the combat cut if you are a.) big around the middle or b.) doing a lot of holster draw training, or c.) both. I found that quickly drawing my XD9 SC was tricky to do with a positive "V" grip because the holster fits so snugly against the inner side of the grip. I kept catching myself drawing the weapon by gripping the rear sites with my thumb. The combat cut allows you to grip the weapon exactly as you shoot it so that you have positive control from holster to target. So again, if your gun stays in your holster 99.9% of the time, combat cut not necessary. If you train a lot with your supertuck, I'd go combat cut.

The USP is practically indestructible but it's not as sexy as a 1911. So...tough call.
  18. All of my training at Range USA has been a real pleasure. The staff is extremely knowledgable and professional. You'll get a quality experience without dealing with jackasses that take themselves way too seriously. I cannot recommend Range USA highly enough.
  19. Amazon.com: Tactedge 4X32 Mini CQB TS Mil-Dot Scope: Sports & Outdoors I put this one on my AR and it's worked great so far.
  20. Depending on the time, I can go this next Sunday. Anybody else in?
  21. Ditto. Looks good. If anyone does know any members who might be willing to sponsor, PLEASE PM me!
