  1. Is Oakland close enough? I work in Memphis.
  2. After I ordered mine I called to ask if there was anyway to get a magazine holder added to the holster. I was told that they were asked this constantly, but that they tried it with disappointing results (too bulky.) I would think, though, that they would want to sell a separate mag holster (same design, just mold the Kydex to hold two mags) that you could wear either at 6 o'clock or on opposite hip. Maybe we could talk em into it.
  3. Unfortunately, you can't practice holster draws at MSSA.
  4. I will post a full review soon, but this is the most comfortable holster I've ever worn (IWB), period! Worth every penny paid. Crossbreed Holsters > Home
  5. I know 25 yards isn't ideal for shooting rifles, but there are no public outdoor ranges in within an hour and half from me here in Oakland. My new AR build needs to be broken in somewhere! I know we can shoot at Natchez, but the weather is less than ideal this time of year.
  6. The optic is a P.O.S. Tactedge 4X32 illuminated from Leapers. Got it from Amazon for $40. I have it sighted for my .22 conversion kit. The bipod is a Harris clone and it is indeed mounted directly to the quad rail.
  7. I found an indoor range in Jackson that let's you shoot up to .300 Win Mag and plan on taking my AR for some range time. If anyone would like to meet up to chew the fat and burn through some ammo, PM me and we'll try to link up. I work weird hours and generally have only weekday mornings available.
  8. I just watched the Future Weapons episode featuring the Magpul Masada / Bushmaster ACR (linked below). It looks like a really well designed rifle. Has anyone heard anything negative about it? I plan to start saving now but would like more data.
  9. CMMG lower 16" Rock River 5.56 A3 upper with 4 rail gasblock
  10. I'm happy with my 16" M4. With a stable platform, decent optics, and quality ammo, you can shoot just as tight with an M4 as you can with an A2...at 150 meters anyway.
  11. I wouldn't be a member of this forum, nor a veteran, if I didn't believe in our right and duty to defend our way of life with all means at our disposal. I DO get concerned when some gun owners talk trash about killing anyone who tries to take their guns. Any fantasies you may have of gloriously defending your guns against a bunch of blue-helmeted pansies are a little naive. I would rather hide my guns than kill the men sent by someone else to take them.....but whatever, that's just me.
  12. Yeah, we're starting to get into some ugly territory here. Let's not give anyone any "ammunition" to use against gun rights, ie... comments about shooting U.N. personnel. Armed insurrection against tyranny would be a horrible, bloody way to defend our rights. Let's all hope it never comes to that. I have seen first hand what civil war looks like in Bosnia; pray that never happens here.
  13. Are you happy with the Magpul stock? I'm building my first AR-15 on Monday, and have so far opted to go "stock" with the stock.
  14. XD9 Subcompact with 124gr +P CorBon DPX 100% copper. Pricey but great performance against man flesh.
  15. Grilled Atlantic swordfish over a quartered flash fried potato topped with a Beurre Noir sauce with red onion, yellow bell pepper, julienne arugula, roasted pecans, Thyme, grape tomatoes, black currants, and cilantro oil. It's good to be a chef!
  16. Just bought a box to try 'em out and was curious if anyone had any thoughts or experience with this ammo.

    XD Owners!

I just got my XD 9 subcompact three day ago. It was slightly used so after 150 rounds, it's already running smooth. I've been feeding it whatever's cheap at the range, but for carry purposes I'm loading Cor-Bon DPX in 115 gr +P. It feeds ok but you can feel it in the recoil. I went into a local gun shop to buy a 16rd mag with grip extension and left with a kit with 3 mags, a mag holster, and a gear case. I really only need the one mag and will part with the rest of the kit for $60 (I paid $95). I haven't really considered any mods since I'm extremely happy with it as is. I might put trijicons on it but I think it feels great in the hand and I don't find the take up excessive. My brother now regrets buying his Kahr and wishes he had mine. I love this gun!
  18. I just bought the same gun 2 days ago. I bought 3 16rd mags with grip extensions cuz I got a deal but I really only need 1. Would you be interested in taking one or two off of my hands?
  19. I just bought a box of 20 CorBon 9mm 115 DPX +P for $29.99. They feed ok in my XD subcompact but my Kahr CW9 requires a forceful slide closure to get it to feed.
  20. I'm assuming that's a suppressor and not a heavy barrel. If so, is it fixed?
  21. My Kahr has a huge amount of travel on it which i understand is standard. Does anyone know how much if at all that travel can be reduced without affecting reliability?
  22. I believe Americans in general have had it so good for so long that we expect to always get what we want. I think it starts with parenting and the disgusting way in which parents fail to be leaders for their children and instead try to keep them happy and quiet by fulfilling their every wish. That kind of child grows up expecting to get his/her way with no regard for anyone else's needs. What really scares me is that some of these brats have guns.
