I've upgraded my nightstand gun(s) from a 12ga to one of the ARs with the Surefire VFG and my rail'ed 1911 with a X300 light, two 10 round mags. Between that, two Boxers, fenced in back yard and the alarm system....bring it.

Is it on airport property or are you talking about the training center on Donelson Pike. I have to agree...to be THAT close to a range and not be able to shoot there, breaks my heart. I grew up in east nashville...lousy part of town. Wasn't unusual to hear gunshots. We moved Donelson. First night I was there I stepped outside to enjoy a nice neibhorhood, and heard at least a dozen full autos going off. Thought I was over on Dickerson Road again for a minute.

I doubt it. I've never found a universal holster that was worth a crap. Safariland Blade-Tech Blackhawk ANY of those would be better, but you won't find one for 20.00

Tennessee House Speaker Kent Williams wants the legislature to wait until the guns-in-bars law that was struck down by a Nashville judge in November works its way through the courts before trying to re-approve the law. If the legislature agrees with Williams, Tennessee's 257,000 gun-carry permit holders — and the millions more in other states whose permits are recognized by Tennessee — will have to wait for months before they can legally carry their guns into places serving alcohol in the Volunteer State. The law that allowed permit holders to go armed in places serving alcohol — unless the owner posts signs banning guns on his property — passed last year. In November, it was struck down as unconstitutionally vague in a ruling on a lawsuit by restaurant owners. State Attorney General Robert Cooper served notice last month that he will appeal the ruling. Until that's settled, it's illegal to go armed into any restaurant or bar serving alcohol, with a permit or not. While reaffirming his support for handgun-carry permit holders, Williams, R-Elizabethton, said he'd prefer that the legislature wait and not "spin its wheels" on the issue until the courts make their final ruling. Legislative sponsors of the bill — Rep. Curry Todd, R-Collierville, and Sen. Doug Jackson, D-Dickson — planned to try to pass a rewritten version of the bill quickly to restore the law before the courts act on the appeal.

I have a LWRC and a POF, love shooting both of them. They do run cooler and cleaner, but as Mike said I've never had a problem with a DI setup either.

OK damnit..this is getting stupid now. I was at home tonight, getting ready to go visit my mother in the hospital. There is a BANGING on my door. Glanced out the peephole, Sig 228 in hand only to see a glint of light off a badge. Holster up the Sig, open the door...there are 4 cop cars on my street...my STREET looking for some jackhead several doors down who was trying to force his way into a womans home today. The wife is under STRICT orders NOT to be out of reach of either her EMP or her 12 gauge no matter what. I have GOT to find her a holster.

I've got a non NVG Aimpoint....just need to borrow the NV gear for a year or two for a complete test :-)

I'm glad you're OK. There was nothing done to that gun while it was in my loving care and I picked it up @ G&L brand new.
