If I'm not mistaken both the USA and Austria Glocks are the same quality but different treatment process for the metal slide and barrel... Tenifer process is done in Austria but is not done in the US, due to the chemicals used that are outlawed by the EPA... Therefore it is a different metal treatment on the US made Glocks that are usually for Export.

Nice, I have the M&P15 ORC and love it. Yes It's a compliant model but it's still pretty awesome and I have added a few upgrades to make it my own. Once I'm out of this crappy state and living in TN I will most likely buy and build a few more. Mine:

My big concern is your #2 responce. I don't want too much penetration from a defensive round because I want it to stop in the bad guy and not end up in an innocent bystander.

Yeah NY is pretty bad, my brother left MA for a job in NY and he hated every minute he had to live there. Every time I complained about MA he would say it could be worse, you could be living in NY. He now lives very happily in Nashville TN and says he will never move to another state. As for me I just cant wait till I get to live in freedom as well.

Hey guy and gals, Just want to say hello. I currently live in MA and have been planning to get out of this horrible anti state for quite some time. Well it seems the stars have finally aligned and I will be moving out of MA to TN in about 3 months. I'm already part of a few gun forums but thought I would join this one as well since I will be living in TN soon. Both me and my wife have our licenses and enjoy shooting, we also are Jeepers and enjoy off-roading as well. This looks like a great forum and I hope to contribute and be a part of it for a long time. :)
