It just dawned on me... Watch a place called Cherry's Fine Guns, Greensboro, NC. We've bought some stuff from em over the years . They are fair and reputable. Ya can Google em very easily. leroy.

I understand and agree, but I'ma thinkin ya will never be able to squeeze em hard enough to get the truth unless deals are made. I don't like deals because they tend to distort the " real truth ".... SIGH . I'ma thinkin the truth will be locked up until all the principals are moldin in the grave. leroy...

The " Sanctuary City " thing is nothin more than an attempt at voter replacement ALA what ya see with the Muslim population in Britain now. Fourty seven percent of public housing in London is said to be foreign. Biden embraced the " citizen replacement " concept completely, and did more to advance it than any president before him. The problem with this idea is that it increases the size of cities that are already under democrat control in states, for the most part, that are blue already. At this juncture, the " sanctuary city " thing ain't working out, because the DJT n company are stepping up ICE enforcement in these places. LA is " ground zero " for this foolishness as is New York and other blue strongholds. That's why there are " sanctuary cities " and that's why the DJT is going after em. leroy

sale-or-trade Price Drop! 1981 Ruger No 1 375H&H

I'm with Greg here...! Beautiful rifle, beautiful wood. I've got his brother in 458 Win Mag. The pictures don't do these justice. They are the " best of the best " of this round of Ruger production. They are, in fact, heirloom production. admirin leroy.. -
The sad truth is that the construction industry is mostly filled with immigrant labor. Some, I'm sure, have work visas. Others simply don't. As others have opined, as long as employers hire these folks, they will find ways to come; both legal and illegal. I noticed that yesterday DJT allegedly ordered ICE to ease up on farm, meat packing, and " hospitality services " raids. It's gonna be interesting to see how this really plays out . I'm a bit conflicted about this stuff because I know some immigrant folks that are law abiding, hard working folks minding their own business; they are the ones that work two jobs n send money home. I'm all for them. As to the " on the dole ", LA Raza, and thug crowd, they need to go... Sorting em out without collateral damage is, indeed, a big problem. letoy

I'll add to the SIG 238 cheerleading . I carry one Lotsa times in summer for " mundane " trips. Remember, the locked breech guns will handle heavier loads. The blow backs need factory ammo. I handloaded some plus p 380 before the 380 ammo selection got to where it is today. I also love the Kahr 380s. Would like to find a " lovingly cared for lightly used one " -- SIGH -- so far, no luck. leroy.

Thanks Wes..! I enjoyed meeting ya Brother... Again, thanks for everything. leroy -
Papa... I now carry " cocked n locked too " SIGH... The brutal Re-education has worked. I heartily agree about the ambi safety... When ya look at the design, they can give trouble from what ya said, and are a source of mechanical failure. The beaver tail and Rowell hammer thing has forced me to use an " off hand " draw, but it works well enough. leroy
-
Will.... In the old days before the " cocked n locked " dogma became gospel, us lefties carried our Gubt models on the half cock with a spur hamner. Ya cocked on the draw ALA the old Single Action Army. It worked very well, as the 1911 has a rebounding firing pin. Now they send you to the " Re-education Camp " run by brutal Soviet style 1911 apartachiks for doin such things. Remember, the 1911 was a calvary sidearm. They put the safety on when the shootin wuz over.... HEHEHE. re-educated leroy with a beaver tail and a rowell hammer ( SIGH )... Re-educated in 1911 gospel.

I've built several ARs, and I like the carbine length guns with light barrels and mid length gas systems best. I like the Faxon Firearms barrels with the integral brake in a lightweight barrel profile best. They are exactly 16 inches. They are a bit pricy, but they are excellent barrels. That said, ya can spend less money n get the same thing if ya use any good quality barrel. Shop around n read the info from the various makers. Faxon, Wilson, and many others. Google em and take a look. My AR weighs right at 6 lb. That's why I like the light barrels. Don't get sidetracked with the small MOA thing if your gun is for self defense. My AR has a red dot on it that makes hitting pie plates at 50 yards child's play. A pie plate is 8 inch diameter. Take a look at the center of your chest or your head and think about that. I value the light weight guns because of the easy handling. If ya want ta build a pistol; I would recommend a 10.5 inch barrel 300 BO and a braced lower ya like. The 300BO wuz developed as a short barrel round, and the 10.5 feels good in hand. Again, Faxon is a good place ta look for barrels. There are two places not to skimp on if ya want a great shooting rifle. The barrel and the trigger. Ya can find an excellent barrel in the $250 to $ 275 range; and, if ya watch close, ya can buy an excellent trigger in the $100 to 125 range on sale. Here's hopin this helps a bit and ya get started on building the rifle like ya like it. leroy.... PS... " Approved Vendors "... I like Wing Tactical for lotsa stuff, AERO for uppers, Primary Arms for most everything, Including the best optics ya can buy for the money, I'ma thinkin, and I always look at Joe Bob outfitters, n a small bunch over in N C whose name escapes my old, wore out brain right now. I FOUND EM!!! AR Discounts...! https://link.ar15discounts.com/q/qDKEhyiBcBf9N1NLLuaoBs5y3ZzEZ6MXKPbaqcI4F_pt29dPQ5obrJ7HT9 Lowers, I buy from my buddies at the gun store ya frequent... Pick the one ya like.

A grand old shotgun indeed..! Wish ya were closer.. GLWS..! admirin leroy... The Winchester scattergun junkie -
Excellent pistolas... Probably a better handling pistola than a 1911. Got one myself. The downside is the compacts are heavy. The P01s a bit lighter. Fifteen rounds of ya are into capacity. Soft shooters as well. leroy

I like the hammer fired guns. Internal n external. I've got an S&W 9mm Performance Center EZ ( internal hammer ) I like very well. They are essentially a pocket pistol ( for bigger pockets ). But they are an excellent choice. Barrel length is 3.8 inches ima thinking. leroy
-
Phil... I like em, but they are big, no matter the barrel length. I think ya can carry em IWB pretty well, but I like em in a leather holster, and a good one at that. I do NOT like the 3 inch guns. They are finicky n only give the " illusion of concealability " as far as I'm concerned. The nines are soft shooting and are reliable ( they didn't used ta be ). The ammo is as good as ya can buy. I've got a Ruger lightweight SR 1911 Commander I carry from time to time, but I'm a " gun junkie ". Fifty or so years ago, I used to regularly carry a Colt 45 Gubt model or LW Commander 44 ACP, both IWB, IWB, n pocket in the hip pocket of Carhartt dungarees and overalls. Be advised, the all steel guns are heavy, and it does make a difference if ya carry em all day. They are an excellent choice if ya practice with em and learn to handle em well. The main drawbacks are price and weight with the all steel guns. All that said, it's awfully hard to beat a single or double stack 4 inch polymer gun. The Glock 43 comes to mind for single stacks, and the Glock 19 for double. If ya have a bit more $s ta spend, the Shadow Systems MR 920 can't be beat as they are a Glock clone with a better trigger n a few other niceties as well. The Smith guns are just as good I think. All the plastic striker fired guns are lighter, less expensive, and just as reliable as anything ever made . I would recommend handling em all.. leroy.

As to the penetration thing with the 380 ACP. I'ma doubt it would do anything other than ricochet off a glass window or windshield... Just not enough umph.. I always cheated a bit with my little SIG since it's a locked breech pistola, by handloading hardball to the top of the loading manual to develop at least 1000 fps muzzle velocity... Otherwise, I would buy PPU hard ball, it's close to the handload... leroy

I ain't sure a rifle would have helped here. I ain't sure the police could have handled this either... A genuine tragedy brought by either a mad man. a crazed psychopath, or a drug addled fool. The sobering thing is that you can go 30 miles north of where I live and be in danger of this. I've been to Lumberton and I've been to Campbell County. There ain't much difference. SIGH ... leroy

A 380 may not kill ya like a photon cannon, but it will make ya feel pretty bad. HEHEHE. That said, any of the " big " calibers will make ya feel bad too. leroy
