  1. You should take it to the bank and deposit in a savings account. Maybe you can make a couple bucks in interest before they take it back.
  2. That was great.
  3. Archery, guns, knives. Next of Kin has it all.

    UT beats Florida

Believe me, I know. I don't gamble anyway. I was just watching Pardon the Interruption yesterday on the Tim Tebow channel and Kornheiser said the Gators are gonna win by 48.:puke:I just want all the jocktasters, I mean sportscasters, on the Tebow network to have to eat their words.

I don't expect the Vols to win, I just hope they'll beat the spread(currently 30). I really think the Vols can play with Florida. The defense is solid. If they can just keep from turning the ball over I expect a decent game.
  6. I was looking at a Uselton 1911 a couple of years ago at a gun shop near here. I actually almost bought it, but this was before I knew anything about this Rick Uselton character. Knowing what I know now, I'm glad I didn't buy it. I will say that the particular pistol I was looking at was very well built. The smith who assembled it(I'm assuming Sam?) obviously knew what he was doing. The slide to frame fit was perfect, smooth as glass. And all of the other parts were very, very well fitted. And it was also most definitely built on a Caspian frame. I'm pretty certain that the slide was Caspian as well, from what I recall. The grip safety was Caspian also. I remember because the Caspian grip safety design is pretty unique(and I've never particularly cared for it). But that's all I can recall about it at the moment. I do know this much for sure, if Rick Uselton says all of his parts are made in house then he is definitely lying.
  7. As of right now, the only acceptable candidate that I can think of is Ron Paul. I don't agree with everything he says, but he is the exact opposite of what we currently have. And he is the only member of either party that I believe is genuinely interested in limiting the federal government to it's Constitutional role. A lot of politicians pay lip service, but he is the only one that comes to mind who has consistently backed up his talk with his vote.
  8. Also, I guess we should just ignore the fact that the president's approval rating was 65% when he first took office. The only explanation for his continually plummeting approval must be that more Americans have become the "R" word.
  9. Sorry Hyaloid, I shouldn't have risen to the bait. Apologies all around.

    My ND

Thanks for your story. It takes a lot of guts to admit to a mistake. I'm glad you are okay. And good for you for having the intestinal fortitude to post this for our benefit. I know it makes me stop and think about how easy it can be to get distracted and make a mistake.
  11. Welcome aboard! A 1911 should cure your Glockaholism.
  12. Only from what the camera caught. Nobody knows what led up to it, if anything. But pushing a helmeted opponent in the shoulder is a pretty far cry from punching someone in the face who isn't even looking in your direction. JMO. Of course the easiest way to not get taunted is to not suck.
  13. Usually .451 for .45ACP, .452 for .45 Colt.
  14. +1Of course we don't know what the Oregon player had said before the Boise State player started "trash talking" either. We do know that the same Oregon player was suspended from the team earlier this year. We also know that he had 8 carries for -5 yards on the night so he probably was in a pretty bad mood. It was just lucky that the ESPN cameras were on the Boise State coach as he walked to midfield so that they caught the altercation. I watched this live and it did not end there either. He later went after one of his own teammates and then a group of fans. He had to be restrained by security, the Oregon staff, and other teammates to keep him from going in to the stands. He made a royal jackass of himself for probably four solid minutes. Pure thug all the way. There is no way I would have someone like that on my team. Hopefully the Oregon AD and coach will boot his ass on down to Burger King so he can get started with the rest of his life.
  15. I was five or six when I got my first BB gun. I was 12 when I got my first real gun, a 10/22 which I still have. I shot guns a lot with my dad before then until he passed away, but that 10/22 was the first gun that was my very own. I payed for half of it from mowing yards and my mom payed for the rest. Good memories. Many a ground hog met it's maker courtesy of that 10/22.
  16. Would you folks please quit quoting this person? I have him on my ignore list so that I don't have to read his drivel. But when you quote him I can see it and it makes my head hurt. I am idiocy intolerant, have some compassion.
  17. I know firsthand that one school near here WILL NOT be showing any of Obama's speech, in any class, period. They have already had several calls from parents saying that their children are not to see any part of it.
  18. And thank you Froggy. It would be my pleasure to shake your hand.
  19. No problem Logic, I understand what you meant. I guess the satisfaction of representing their constituents and upholding the Constitution doesn't quite give them the same satisfaction that a big bank account and cushy job for life does. I too am hoping America wakes up and sends a strong message to a bunch of these socialists and career politicians in 2010.
  20. Don't misunderstand me, I am not apathetic. I'm just extremely frustrated at the moment. I write and email my congressmen regularly and try to be as involved as possible, but they aren't listening. The only two things that speak to most politicians are money and power, and I have neither. I have often wondered what it would be like to be a billionaire and be able to purchase a couple of congressmen to do my bidding, but it doesn't look like that will ever happen.
  21. Yes. Very damned refreshing.
  22. I don't think politics belong in education at all. But they are already there, so whatever.
