This thread has made me decide to go hunt one of these down and examine it closer. I'm a sucker for compact, high capacity 9mm handguns. I'm just not crazy about further padding the wallets of the Emirates any more than I already do with my gasoline addiction.

That was actually a feature brought in by the VBSEO add-on for vBulletin. Unless I find something comparable, it won't be back. Sorry.

Does it work? Absolutely. I have one and it works exactly as they describe. Is it worth the money? That's a personal question. I think so, but obviously others here disagree. Can't say I agree with them though. Definitely can't agree that it seems cheap or worthless either. But my experience consists of using it, not looking at one at a gun show.

Spell check was not a feature of vBulletin and is not a feature of IPB. What OhShoot said is correct; it is built in to your web browser. The software change didn't and couldn't have affected that.

I pocket carry a Kahr PM9 more than I carry most anything else these days, largely due to situational requirements. Great gun.

I don't think anyone paid attention to my posts where I said that I'd be importing those back into this software as soon as the author gives us a converter. I say this based on the fact that there are a lot of ratings now for deals that happened weeks ago. At this point I'm either going to turn off the Trader ratings system and clear out all of the data so that it doesn't end up a jumbled mess, or I'm going to just forget about importing that data and let folks keep doing what they're doing.

Turns out there is no way to add a "grace period" before the Edited By notice is shown. I can either allow edits, not allow edits, or not append the Edited By tag. I'd prefer to know that posts were edited as it's been helpful in the past on more than one occasion, especially in Trading Post threads.

No, that was an item particular to vBulletin. There is no similar feature in IPB.

I haven't looked yet but that's likely just a difference between vBulletin and IPB; something the developers from each camp decided did or did-not need to be included.

What you're describing are two different things. The "Remember me" checkbox is still there but it may be called something else now like "Keep me logged in" -- I cannot remember which at the moment without logging out myself to see. The other part you're describing is the auto-complete feature in your web browser, not our software. Since we are on different software now, that field name has changed so your web browser's auto-complete will have to relearn it. Likely by you logging out and back in once or twice.

This is true, but it forces you to plan ahead. Until the past 15 years you couldn't even buy alcohol in restaurants on Sunday, but they've changed that. This may be a by-the-town sort of thing, however. I'm just going based off of my old hometown and my elation upon returning one weekend to find that I could order a margarita on Sunday. So I did. And it was sinfully good. It's been that way in Kentucky as long as I can remember, well back into the 1970s. I would often see farmers with a six-shooter on their belts as they would carry them out in the fields while working. It also seemed a little unusual to see them walking around in Wal-Mart with their piece hanging off their belt, but again it was legal and until the 1990s was also the only way you could carry in Kentucky. The CDWP didn't become available until the early to mid 1990s, at which time I promptly got mine and started carrying a Smith & Wesson 3913 in a small-of-the-back holster under a sport coat. I worked in and around banks a lot, so it was convenient and hid easily. Not the best holster design in hindsight, but oh well... I was young and naive. But back to your question... no, open carry doesn't seem very popular back in my hometown except by the aforementioned farmers. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else open carry up there but I've noticed plenty of inadvertently exposed concealment pieces when folks don't mind their shirt tails.

Bill gates once said that if he was down to his last thousand dollars, he'd use it for marketing. So if you're already in business for yourself, re-investing it in some sort of advertising or promotional effort to gain more business is where I'd put that money.

Unfortunately I feel that it is now necessary to publicly point out that Guns & Leather is not a vendor and should not be soliciting sales on the forum until they correct that oversight. Daniel has been contacted about this a few times over the past few months but at this point has been asked to stop making posts designed to elicit sales or otherwise direct business to their door. Advertising on TGO now includes an option that costs less than ordering delivery pizza once a month for a year. At that price point, it's no longer a matter of a business not being able to become a Vendor if they desire, it's a matter of a business not wanting to. I'm glad the OP found the carbine he was looking for. Closing this thread.

Right. Animated avatars in posts are annoying and clinically proven to give people seizures. One of those is true.

1. Avatars should have transferred but some of them didn't for various reasons. It appears yours is one that did not, so you'll need to upload it again. 2. iTrader stats will eventually get imported back in. The author of the Trader Feedback feature here is working on an import script for us. 3. The pips increase with a person's total post count and time on the forum. Similar to the old Member, Senior Member, etc. on vBulletin. Edited to add... Yeah, it's a lot of work but I enjoy it.

Open carry in Kentucky does not require a permit. That's why their HCP is actually a CCP. Without a permit, concealing your firearm is illegal. I was born and raised in Kentucky and lived there for 25 of my 39 years, albeit not in Louisville. Louisville would not be my first choice of cities but it is far from the last I would pick either. There are certainly some very nice parts of Louisville to live in and it seems that the downtown district is really trying to reinvent itself. I'd go for it. You can always move back here later if you don't like it, or want to retire in Tennessee.
