  1. Advertising? Or for no other reason than SA can play Dick's games right back at them.
  2. Clarify, please. Dropped in NY? Dropped by Chubb and Lockton? Or discontinued altogether by the NRA?
  3. As in all things, there are two sides. The home of great men, such as Crockett and Jackson, is also the home of Gore and Forrest.
  4. So Don Cuomo can't just florish a pen and call the NRA insurances null and void, correct? THe statists are putting together a full court press against the armed... jackals against sheepdogs.
  5. FTFY. Either: 1. They honestly (ha!) don't get that their "gun free" zones are creating hunting zones for the predators. OR: 2: They don't give two rodhams and half a fatbill, and are actually getting turned on (TWICE: from death-worship, and "new" reasons to attack 2A believers) with every incident. (If any have doubts about the death-worship, reel back to anything since 9/11 and see how some of the comentators' eyes light up with higher bodycounts. Truly sick.) So... lack of understanding, or understanding all too well. You pick.
  6. Gun-grabbing assclown. $200? Cheapskate... 2.5 troy pounds of precious metal silver is about $500 at the moment... thirty pieces of silver being the going rate for traitors. SWC
  7. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-05-02/new-york-weaponizes-regulatory-powers-against-nra Soon to be followed by moonbeam, I haven't a doubt. SWC
  8. Somewhere there is a unit of measure of how NOT funny something is, and that pegged the mega unit meter over so hard it bent the needle. The goal of power is power, and the front of 'for the children" is deceptive and heinous. This is a stockroom attack on a gun manufacturer, and other gun firms would do well to take notes.
  9. School boards are some of the most incestuously tight little oligarchies in American society. Busting them up for breaking a law is next to impossible.
  10. ACTIVISM not capitalism. And I can't believe how kind I am being, not just calling it 'leveraged blackmail' and be done. I gather Ruger hasn't enough $ to do a buyback of stock out from under these creatures. Nor no 'poison pill' maneuver to delouse with. Damned well should curtail, if not eliminate completely, the dividends, citing the anticipated loss of sales that these individuals are about to cause, and make sure that everyone NOT part of the problem knows EXACTLY who to tag. SWC
  11. It'ud be quite the thing if the major gun manufacturers got together and opened their own financial company... or better still, just said screw'em and went to cash only. Although, the latter is not all that likely, given the size. Or is it? SWC, pondering
  12. And the poor schlubs unwittingly and uncompensatedly putting out these datum are in the lurch. Does anyone know if there has been valid and recent court cases against companies that collect against their customers without notification or payment? I'm no Luddite. I've been dealing with computers since high school, when we did programming in FORTRAN with Hollerith punch cards. That said, I will at least speak up against being regarded as little more than a data resource, to be processed without consent, and used without just recompense. SWC
  13. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-04-30/credit-card-companies-explore-new-ways-monitor-gun-purchases What part of "to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches" do these ijits NOT get? Bad enough they can submit SARs on any withdraw they don't happen to like.... ask me how I know.... Looking VERY hard at a Heritage revolver and a Anderson ar-22. Even harder am I looking at making such transaction in cash. Or am I wrong?
  14. I'm on a fair few, myself. Both of the silver trading websites I frequent. ZeroHedge, NewsMax. Being a General class HAM, so I'm on fcc.gov. ARRL member, too. Ex-military. Ex-military intelligence (Heaven help us all) Registered Republican Electronic signatory of the Mount Vernon Accord. Owner of a firearm. Seller of firearms. And that's twelve off the top of my head. I've had more than my share of clicks and crackles on my phones, both landline and cell, over the years. Can't say that I'm greatly worried. Can say I hope "they" are. SWC
  15. Unfortunately I have a reason why this good citizen isn't more prominently mentioned... reprisals by any of the criminals' friends/family/posse/what-have-you.
  16. Laws, rules, Constitutional amendments... all very well, but if not obeyed by and applied to everyone equally... worthless. And we, in our trust... somewhat naive trust, betimes... are getting the painful end of the shaft, because we obey the rules, and our opponents do not. Simple as that. Part of it is that consequences, or lack of them, have made the rulebreakers bolder. This poor kid... the wannabe sro's and the deputy dared obey what orders they were given to give this kid problems, because they are (were?) confident in their superiors concealing or shielding their actions. A decided mistake, I think. Depends if the kid's parents decide to hit back with lawyers. As to the apparent questions about the American system... ... Some quote along the line, and without coffee to help me remember it, too... Something along the line that "American democracy is the worst system in the world... except when compared to all the others" or some such... An error, there, though... The present American government model was supposed to be a constitutional republic, democratically elected. What we have now, it seems is a slow tumble toward a politically-correct-aided plutarchy. I'll repeat from another entry. One of the characters in Pearl S. Buck's THE GOOD EARTH said it simply and well... "There is a way, when the rich are too rich, and the poor are too poor." Mind, RHL3 is quite right; we have the best-off poor of any country on the planet. But that's NOW. That it continues like that? I don't know, if, or for how long. Where's that blasted coffee... instant, no less... SWC
  17. For which the yellow media should be ashamed, and that usher should be lauded.
  18. Indeed. His courage was officially noted by both houses of the Tennessee legislature. He started a gofundme drive on behalf of the families of the victims, and a gofundme drive was also started by another party on behalf of his daughter. Must have pissed the newsies off royally that they couldn't impugn this man's character. To whomever is running this site, if this brave man shows up here, I volunteer to front him for a year Benefactor membership. SWC
  19. hizzonner pro tem can take a run and jump at himself. I'm just glad that the guy is in custody. I don't want to know what sort of a twisto he is, nor what meds he was supposed to be on, nor none of that. He killed innocent people, without cause or regret. He needs to be speedily tried, and if (when) found guilty, answer for his crime with his life. SWC
  20. Good news like that doesn't sell airtime and column inches nearly as well as bad. Unfortunate, but true. SWC
  21. Any late word as to whether said nutbar is still out and about, wasting good oxygen? Given yesterday's temps, rain, and the lack of proper clothing, even the most hyped up are not gonna last too long without hypothermia dropping them. If the authorities do catch him alive, my guess would be they pull him out of some hollow or thicket or such, denned up to keep what little body heat. Or in some abandoned outbuilding. How did this joker GET to the Waffle House, I wonder? Clearly not any transportation, or if he had, he abandoned it in favor of walking about in cold wet woods in the middle of the night. SWC
  22. When in AZ we had a couple of feeders and the blackheaded hums came around proper. A few were so bold as to land on offered fingers, and others would criuse up to eye level n stare.. go BOO and theyd do these most amazing in-air backward tumbles till they righted themselves.
  23. If the LCRx / LCR II family is up to the same ruggedness standards as the original, then I'm all for it. I've never been a fan of buying weapons for looks, but more rather performance. I'll be cruising up to their website after I finish this entry, but if anyone has heard of a any member of the LCR family in .22LR, I would be much obliged to hear from you about it. SWC
  24. One of the more distinguished FL's in recent times, and will be missed. SWC
