  1. As with any lease you can have that clause removed before you sign. The best way to handle that is to ask the landlord if they are willing to assume pecuniary liability should a resident be injured or killed in the event they are unable to defend themselves per the lease during a home invasion or burglary. (Taken from PA gun owners board)
  2. I have also been looking at a XD45 and the FN 45, I need to find somewhere that has one of them for rent to try it out. Heard good things about them, but in .45 I usually like a 1911 style pistol.
  3. I just went through this with my wife. We went and looked at guns and she really liked the SW 638, that is until we took it to the range. She couldn't even fire it, the double action pull was too much for her (small hands) so I sold it. She did like the P22 which is good for her to practice with, but we are looking for something else once she gets her permit. So far she has handled many different firearms, hates revolvers and so far the pistol she likes best at least by feel is a Glock 19. We will see if that continues once she fires one.
  4. I haven't owned one but with the mini-14, the only mags that seem to be reliable are the Ruger mags.
  5. CCA had 2 in stock as of 2 nights ago.
  6. You are going to laugh and I haven't tried it on venison, but I don't think I have found anything that doesn't taste better when marinaded for a few hours in zesty italian dressing.
  7. I have seen the XD45's range from 509 to 599 at the local gunstores.
  8. +1 on the crossbreed, I use one for my glock 30 and my 1911.
  9. My non-descriptive list would be: one .22 rifle one .223 semi (AR) one .308 (m1a) or 30-06 (m1) one 7.62x39 (sks or ak) one wheel gun in a magnum caliber one pistol in .45 acp one pump shottie
  10. Colt 6920... there is no substitute but I do like the S&W MP15s.
  11. I have been looking for a collector grade k98 and those are getting up there in price, last I have seen were $500+. Wish I had purchased when they were cheap.
  12. How much are they? Just bought the wife an airweight, but I have always been a Ruger revolver guy, just like the way they feel. My GP100 is the one pistol I would never sell.

    Cig Tax

My father had a good opinion on why cigs are taxed so much and why alcohol is not. Cigs are not PC right now and when was the last time you heard of a politician who did not drink?
  14. I had a similar situation on my old Para P13. First round sometimes not feeding. It turned out to be the mag spring, after swapping in a wolff spring the issue was resolved. It may not be your issue, but for the $10 price of spring it is worth a shot.
  15. Just joined up after lurking a good bit on the forums. Lotsa good info here. Just glad to be in TN and out of the peoples republic of Maryland.
  16. That was one suggestion I was going to make. Some people I know will only do FTF sales to HCP holders.
  17. That's when you say "honey look what I picked up for you today"
  18. I would be interesting in hearing your thoughts on the pistol, i have been debating one at the local shop and haven't made the decision on it yet. I think my Kimber needs another 1911 for company and they seem to be a good deal.
  19. As of Saturday both Gunny's in Maryville and WD Sporting goods had plenty of 9mm in stock.
