  1. If I recall correctly, you must contact the airline ahead of time and they will give you the packing requirements. You will need an airline approved gun case and you will be required to check in at the front counter to have the gun checked into luggage. This is of course from before 9/11 so I am not sure how much things have changed.
  2. I have driven both (charger and 300) and the SRT8 is a nice vehicle, I am sure you would enjoy it. However, I ended up purchasing a G8 GT since it rode so much nicer to me. I love the SRT cars, I owned a SRT-4 3 years before I traded it.
  3. I guess the obligatory GO STEELERS!!! is in order.
  4. Love my temper-pedic. Have had it for around 2 years and it was worth every penny. I don't recall it having a break in period. I was worried about it sleeping hot also because I had heard that complaint. So far it doesn't seem to sleep any hotter than a standard mattress. The wife loves it also, I think it is better than a standard mattress for night time (or morning or afternoon) activities.
  5. Which 686 is it? There are two models, a six shot model and a seven shot version. New the seven shot runs around $700 give or take. Blue book puts the value for 98% at 475 for the 6 shot and 495 for the seven. However take that with a grain of salt since most time s&w revolvers in good shape with the box and papers command a little more than book.
  6. I owned a Glock 30 for a short time. It was the only Glock I have owned that had issues. I only put 100-200 rounds through it, but I had at least a dozen fail to feeds with it. If you go on glock talk you will see that the 30 has some issues. I am not sure if the SF is improved or not.
  7. Federal makes the american eagle branded 30-06 for the M1 garand and Hornady makes the m1 garand match ammo. Those are the only 2 producers that I am aware of at this time.
  8. I would check out these two boards for more info than you could ever want on the M14/M1A : M-14 Firing Line Public Forum - Powered by vBulletin M14-M1A Weapons Family. - WarRifles
  9. My understanding from reading on the m14 boards is that the SA M1A that were pre-2003 had mostly USGI parts.
  10. There are only a few firearms in his store listed as cash and carry. The 2 paras in there I was told are personal firearms and not the stores, there for it is cash and carry. I could have mis-understood the man behind the counter though.
  11. The cash and carry there means that there is no TICS check done. The rifle is not "Randy's" but a customer rifle (or at least that is my understanding).
  12. I guess I am in the minority today with a wheel gun. Ruger LCR.
  13. I wonder if this is a case of saying you have a bomb in an airport. Doesn't matter if you do or not, you will be arrested and spend some time in jail.
  14. These scams (419 scams) have created a whole new internet sport. Scam baiting. Check out the letters section for some nice stringing along of the scammers. http://www.419eater.com/
  15. That is strange considering I have purchased Eotechs and Aimpoints online and never had that happen and they have inserts in the boxes stating they can not be shipped overseas.
  16. I would say an enjoyable time for all. Now that I have shot my 03, I don't think it will be so easy to sell it. I just wish my ammo was as cheap as the mosins. Highlight of the day for me was knocking over the plate with my TRP at 100+ yrds That savage .22 was on, that is all that can be said about that.
  17. I am also going to try to make it there tomorrow.
  18. It would depend on what the chamber says. If it says .308 you can shoot either, if it says 7.62, only shoot the 7.62 stuff in it (at least that is what it means on a M1A).
  19. I loved mine and I would still have it if I did not get rid of all my 9mm and .40 cal handguns. IMO one of the best 9mm pistols you can buy, and by far the best for the price.
  20. M2 ball is alot cheaper than the hunter stuff i have seen lately.
  21. Chia Obama - Special Edition Chia from the maker of Chia Pets LOL LOL LOL Saw the commercial and just had to make sure I didn't catch a SNL rerun or something.
  22. I will try to make this one assuming the weather is good. I have to find some M2 ball though so I can fire my new M1903A3.
  23. Not sure if this is a repost, but it is interesting reading. http://www.parentalrights.org/index.asp?Type=B_BASIC&SEC={96190840-EC3B-4A5E-80EE-9719625B62A5}
