  1. I own a FNP45 USG and I have nothing bad to say about it. It replaced my Glock 21 if that says anything. More accurate than I am. Zero issues to date with it. IMO you can't go wrong with one.
  2. LMT is a good rifle. I have not owned one but I haven't heard anything negative about them either. If you haven't already check out the AR-15 spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pwswheghNQsEuEhjFwPrgTA&hl=en#gid=1
  3. 100 yrds (well Norris range 100 yrds) on the famous steel plate, 8 outta 8 with a Springfield TRP. The first string was 1 outta one since the plate fell over.
  4. Good going, always been a to do for me. I got a good bit of the NH AT done when I lived there. At least it will be a bit cooler there since you will be at higher elevation and water is more plentiful. It is some of the most exposed terrain on the entire trial though so watch the weather and it was difficult for me but by now you probably won't have any issues.
  5. Had a great time as usual at Norris. The wife enjoyed Mac's 10/22 so much, we went to walmart and bought her one. Now she wants the Arch-Angel stock for it. Hope it won't be another 8 months til I can do it again!
  6. Be sure to verify the light ammo as it states in the manual. The low grain stuff can possibly have the bullets shift in the case especially if it is +p.
  7. If I recall correctly, if you keep em all in the black you will pass. I believe we were told you could miss every shot at 15 yrds and still pass if you hit the ones at 3 and 7. You will not have an issue.
  8. One branch of DLI is in Monterey, there is also one in Lackland (teaches English) and in Washington DC. I attended the one at the Presidio of Monterey.
  9. Not sure the cameras are doing anything but helping sell the GPS radar detectors that have them mapped out and warn you when you approach an intersection with a camera.
  10. Not an expert here but my SP101 has play when the hammer is down. When the hammer is cocked, there is ZERO play. If there is any play with the hammer cocked I would get it checked out before I purchased it.
  11. I would love to make it, and I am tryin to get back home this weekend. All depends on work. I haven't shot my 1903A3 since the last time I was up at norris. Actually, I need to shoot it or I will end up selling it. Easier to sell something when you haven't shot it in a while. If I do make it back I would like to meet up with someone to follow. It's been 7 months since I have been home (Maryland sucks!).
  12. I own at TRP and I love it. I had 2 Kimbers and no longer own them since with me the TRP would out shoot them both. Can't go wrong with a springer.
  13. SO when is the next get together. I am hoping to be back in state sometime in March. Hope we can get together for another good day. Haven't been able to shoot since I have been in MD for work and am itching to get some time on the 1903 (if someone doesn't buy it by then) and ARs again.
  14. My choice for a semi shotgun for home defense was the mossberg 930 SPX. It will cycle the low recoil LE buckshot without and issues and so far has been dead reliable. Just verify it does not have a canted front sight if you do not plan on adding optics.
  15. Yep, after I get the bills all paid down, I will be replacing the ones I had to sell to pay the bills.
  16. I will not be able to make this one as I am starting my new job (finally) and will be out of state.
  17. As long as she rents or owns in her own name (or a relative's) or has utilities you can probably find her using People Search | Background Check | Reverse Cell Phone Lookup - Intelius.com
  18. From wiki : The symbol has an ancient history, appearing on artifacts from Indo-European cultures such as the Indo-Aryans, Persians, Hittites, Slavs, Celts and Greeks, among others. The earliest consistent use of swastika motifs in the archaeological record date to the Neolithic. The symbol was found on a number of shards in the Khuzestan province of Iran and as part of the "Vinca script" of Neolithic Europe of the 5th millennium BC. In the Early Bronze Age, it appears on pottery found in Sintashta, Russia. Early Indian swastika symbols were found at Lothal and Harappa, on Indus Valley seals.[11] Swastika-like symbols also appear in Bronze and Iron Age designs of the northern Caucasus (Koban culture), and Azerbaijan, as well as of Scythians and Sarmatians [12]. In all these cultures, the swastika symbol does not appear to occupy any marked position or significance, but appears as just one form of a series of similar symbols of varying complexity. Swastikas have also been found on pottery in archaeological digs in the area of ancient Kush. Swastikas were also found on pottery at the Jebel Barkal temples.[13]
  19. You will love the pistol. Shoots great and is pretty accurate for a service grade pistol. First time I shot it was a norris range with the guys and was disappointed with the 6-8" groups I was getting, then the guys reminded me that was the 50 yrd target I was shooting. I have at least 500 rounds through it so far with out one issue. It has eaten WWB, UMC, Speer Lawman and Golden Sabre so far.

    642 or LCR?

I have owned both. I owned the S&W for about 3 months and after I picked up a LCR, I sold the 642. The LCR just seemed to shoot better for me.
  21. I had one, it was a fun gun. It did seem to have a loose cylinder, but did lock up tight with the hammer back. Not sure if that is typical or just the one I had.
  22. I had a SIG 226 (.40) that I did not like at all, just something about it. I had a P220 Carry SAO which I liked (wish I had kept that one) but something about the 226 I just couldn't warm up to it.
  23. The manual will have instructions on how to field strip and clean your pistol. If you don't have one, I am pretty sure you can download one for your firearm.
  24. I know gunny's in Maryville does layaway, 20% down, 90 days to pay with no interest.
  25. The polytech's had great receivers (forged) but their bolts were not as good as the USGI and SA bolts. They supposedly (I do not own one) make a great platform to build on. I believe they would be legal since they are a M1A (m14) platform.
