  1. 1975 Chrysler Cordoba. Dark metallic Green w/ white vinyl top. Rusted out on the rear quarter panels, fenders, and lower part of the doors due to central IL winters. It was a P.O.S, but had a blast with it.
  2. If you're still having problems with it...... I will take that piece of junk off your hands and dispose of it properly so you will never hear about any problems with it again. Just let me know and I will gladly come and get it, if that will help you with your problem.
  3. Very sorry for your loss. When ever I hear of the loss of a service member, I think of the family and friends that must endure. Prayers are with you and yours.
  4. Glad to see that there is a little closure to this. I am sure it is hard for you to deal with the insider, but it has to be done. I hope you get your guns back soon.
  5. I have a book titled "Medal Of Honor, Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty" It was published in 2003 and it has the story of every living Medal of Honor winner at the time of publishing. It also includes a then and now picture of each with each story. I have read it 3 times and it is always incredible to read the stories of these heroes. I highly recommend this book to all. I have had the fortune to meet one MOH winner proir to his passing. It was a great experience. ISBN 1-57965-240-9 Amazon.com: Medal of Honor: Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty (0791243652407): Peter Collier, Nick Del Calzo: Books
  6. I have mine for a Sig P226. Dumped all my other holsters since getting my supertuck. Best $60 I spent on a holster. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearm-accessories/31306-really-great-holster.html
  7. I installed an Invisible Fence brand fence in November. Best thing I ever did. Wish I did it years ago. They have a 100% guarantee that if your dog keeps getting out after thorough training, they will refund your money. The Nashville branch has a 99.8% success rate. It was a little more $ than the do it yourself brands but a lot cheaper that building a fence for me. Both of my dogs stay inside the area day or night. It won't keep other dogs out, but my priority was keeping my dogs safe and on my property.
  8. I can assure you that some SEALS do play golf like asshats, but the live fire exercises around civilians is a no go. I have a couple of friends that were technical advisors for that flick. After they finally saw the movie, they were pissed at all the stupid crap in it.
  9. Flight of the Intruder - Got to love the scenes in P.I. The Final Countdown - Just a wild idea of a modern carrier going back in time to the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Mister Roberts - I think every sailor has had a captain that was like this. Tora Tora Tora - Awesome classic Midway - Another great one Men of Honor - I met Carl Brascher when I was stationed at Little Creek. A great man. I can't believe no one mentioned Top Gun...... we all know back in the 80's that it was cool as hell!!
  10. beat me to it... Tennessee Gun Owners - FAQ: General Information
  11. 13 year old shepherd/husky mix and a 10 month old Lab/Border Collie mix. Both were pound rescue dogs.
  12. Lock it up in the trunk, drive the speed limit (or flow of traffic), and don't stop. Works for me.
  13. Bring on the snow!!!! Got my gas grill, and plenty of the 1 and only food group (meat and beer). WOOHOO
  14. The military conducts colors (morning raising and sunset lowering) no matter what the weather is. I have my flag illuminated as well and the only time I take mine down is due to very high winds. My flag and pole are rated for over 80mph winds, I just don't want to take the chance of either getting damaged. Hope this helps
  15. I have the same set up in front of my house. If my flag ever becomes tattered, I will mend it myself if possible or replace it and properly dispose of the flag. I would do what many others here suggested. Politely speak to them about it and even purchase a new one for them if its a matter of money. Too many people take the flag for granted and don't understand what sacrifice is made so that we can fly our flag.
  16. Had mine done about 12 years ago. Just gave me a local and I could feel a tugging in the top of my stomach. A couple of bags of frozen peas and tylenol 3 were my best friends for the first 24 hours. A friend of mine had his done and decided to go to a concert the same night instead of the 24hrs of bed rest the Doc told him to do. Poor guy..... he swelled up bigger than a grapefruit!!
  17. In no particular order Band of Brothers (full DVD set, should be shown to all H.S. students during American History class) Hollywood Knights (Love the classic muscle cars in this one) The Usual Suspects (Best twist ending ever) The Right Stuff (Just a damn good movie) Shooter (A cool sniper flick) A close second picks Goodfellas The Godfather Dogma Blazing Saddles All the Raiders of the Lost Ark movies
  18. Trusting someone just because they have a HCP or is a gun owner is idiotic. It is a simple fact of life... Trust is earned, especially in this day and age. In addition, there are varying levels of trust. Here are some examples of what I mean: 1. I trust members of my immediate family, however I wouldn't trust all of them with money because of past mistakes that they have made. 2. I have trusted people I have met in the military with my life and they have trusted theirs with me. But that doesn't mean I would lend my car to them all. 3. I know people that own guns that I would never go shooting with, because they have proven to me that they are unsafe. Background and credit checks are a fact of life for any respectable employer. If someone is going to hire an individual to do a job that deals with $, high value merchandise/equipment, or has any level of risk; its going to happen. And if the individual has nothing to hide, there should be no problem. If someone has something to hide, or something on their record that they don't want an employer to know about, then they shouldn't apply for that position. Especially if it is known up front that a check will be done.
  19. Two very nice places for a quiet, romantic dinner and the food is great at both is Sambuca (in the gulch) Chappy's (Church St.) A little higher than mid-priced, but well worth it. I have never had a bad meal at either one.
