  1. Bar sto makes one too.
  2. Right, but my question is do the regular .40 mag fit into the G29? It has a larger grip.
  3. I agree with that. I would rather have a Sig than the HK any day. I am not a fan of the trigger/accuracy of a HK.

    1911 options

If you have anyway of buying one from budspolicesupply.com they have a heck of a deal on a stainless loaded. I think it was around $680ish delivered.
  5. I have a Galco concealed carry & royal guard, crossbreed supertuck, and Gould &Goodrich open top for my glock 30. The only one I use is the G&G. It fits the gun well and sits well on my hip. It is also easy to draw from the holster. The supertuck is also nice, and it is the most comfortable IWB holster I have ever had. I was really anti-kydex for an IWB until I used this one. I also have a few Galco holsters for my 1911. They are all really well made for the price. Don Hume makes a good holster. I have found that their quality varies from model to model. Highnoon holsters is also a quality custom holster maker. I want a good custom holster from milt sparks or mich rosen, but I don't want to wait a couple months for one. I have been eying a Bullard. It may be my next purchase. Ebay is a good place to scan for holsters. You can get a good broken in holster for pretty cheap if one pops up.
  6. If you have a Glock 29 and do a .357 drop in barrel, what magazine can you use? Do you use the 10mm or will a .357/.40 fit? Does anyone have any experience with a Lone Wolf 9X25 Dillon drop in? DoubleTap Ammunition Also what conversions are available for the 30? I have found a 10mm. Storm Lake has a 400 corbon, but I can't find it available on a search. Dan Wesson

I picked this up a few weeks ago and haven't done a report yet. I have around 200-250 rounds through it without the slightest hiccup. I have shot 3 inch groups from standing at 20 yards, which is pretty tight for me. The groupings at 25 yards are due more to user error. Its a great gun. I'm glad I picked it up before the price jump. The only thing I am going to change is the solid trigger.
  8. Thanks guys. I have a Glock guy who is going to take care of it for me. I polished it, but apparently not enough. We'll see how he does. I don't feel comfortable going with a lighter pull.
  9. They have .45 on the Hornady website. I don't know when it will be available.
  10. I don't know. What is a New York trigger? The gun is one of the Austrian version s that were shipped to the US. I don't know if that makes a difference because the other Glocks i have shot did not have the Austrian markings.
  11. My G19 has one of the worst trigger pulls I have felt on a Glock. I thought it would break in after a few rounds, but it hasn't. I have put ~250 through it. I took it a part today and did a DIY trigger job with a smoothing tip on a drimmel. It helped a little, but it is still "gritty". Can a gunsmith smooth it out any more or should I replace some of the parts with after market?

    Kimber Owners

I had a Kimber custom II. I recently traded it for a DW. The quality of the DW is on another level. I would go with a SA loaded, Colt XSE, or a DW any day over a Kimber.
  13. I think at this point the dealer should step in and take care of the situation.

    glock 34

I had a Storm Lake .40 Glock barrel that was a very well made and accurate barrel.
  15. I am having similar problems with Sig's customer service. I sent a gun to them because of unusual wear on the chamber. The slide had put jagged gouges on it when I fired the gun. It is a new gun with 100 rounds through it. I sent it to Sig. The work order said replaced barrel, fired it with no malfunctions. When I looked at the returned product the gunsmith had just taken a drimmel tool to it. The gouges are still there. There are marks from the drimmel and it is unevenly filed down. One corner is looks like it got hit the hardest by the sander. It wasn't even affected by the initial wear pattern. Needless to say I have been pretty pissed. Sig didn't want to help me with the issue. I contacted the shop, who contacted their rep, and now I am getting the new barrel that should have been installed from the beginning. They are supposed to throw in a trigger job and night sights for the trouble. I really expected better from Sig's repair shop. I could have done a better quality job than they did. I haven't heard back from the customer service rep I contacted about the returned product. This will probably be my first and last Sig.

    My new Kimber

Wilson mags are nice. I have more stainlessKimber mags than Wilson. I've never had a problem with them. I have had several McCormick mags that have failed in my 1911. I prefer the stainless Kimber mags to the blue. They seem to feed better.
  17. Wilson Combat makes a jig for cutting a beaver tail. I put one on my RIA that I had. I loved the gun. It shot on par with my Kimber. The only complaint I had was finding a 3 dot sight. Wilson Combat made a low mount carry sight that fit pretty well. I don't know that there is a difference in the SA GI and the RIA. I went with the RIA because of the difference in price. I added a trigger job (hammer, sear spring, and trigger), new Wolfe springs, grip safety, sights, guide rod, sear, firing pin, and extractor and spent about the same amount as I would have if I had bought the Springfield.

    First Carry Gun Help

If you have big hands think about a Glock 30. 11 rounds of .45 are tough to beat. You can get a M&P with a thumb safety. You could always go with a 1911!

    Sig P239 IWB

Here's the Don Hume I had. The clip broke the first time I put it on, but they replaced it with no questions asked. I didn't have any problems with the second one. It lasted about a year then I traded the gun. http://www.donhume.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_5&products_id=35&zenid=n3qu9n0oh4u4c0ebvptfditjc7

    Sig P239 IWB

Don Hume holsters are tough to beat for the money. I picked up a bare asset holster from High Noon Holsters. I think I paid around $25 for it. It fits my glock 19 very well and also fits my 229. The clip is on the widest part of the holster, but it is still pretty easy to conceal. It is also easy to remove quickly. Inside The Waistband. I have picked up several holsters from them and they are all high quality, especially the need for speed belt holster. It is one of the best 1911 holsters I have found. I have always hated the kydex IWB holsters, that is until I got one with a recent trade. It is the Supertuck. My intention was to put it up for sale, but I tried it on first. It really is a comfortable holster. It is a lot of holster to try to cram in your waist line, but seems to disappear pretty quickly. After 5 minutes of wearing it I forgot it was there.

Is Dan Wesson affiliated with Ed Brown? Their executive elite looks identical to the DW Heritage. There are a few frame differences, but really similar. http://www.edbrown.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.cgi/004100.1.281643221879713272 CZ-USA -> DAN WESSON RZ-45 Heritage

    G33

I like the 33. The .357 is one of my favorite calibers. I would recommend the 32. There isn't that much size difference and you get a full grip and more rounds in the mag. I am not a big fan of the extended mag grips. I don't think the round is too powerful for the smaller size of the 33.
