  1. I will say, I loved my 6.5 Grendel on the AR platform. It was a sweet shooting rifle. Someone should grab this. GLWS
  2. It more about what the School is publicly saying on certain topics. I don’t want to “officially” (as the spouse of a member of the leadership team) release information that they are not yet officially commenting on.
  3. I know everything. But I don’t know what I can/should comment on.
  4. I have not heard of any release of the “manifesto “
  5. Voice of experience?
  6. I believe both of those were in the works. Unfortunately, small Christian schools don’t tend to have large endowments.
  7. Who would trade a DL-44 for an E-11?
  8. I know. I don’t recall how old Adam Lanza was. But Aubrey had been gone from the school for close to 18 years. Her brother did go there from pre-k through 6th, but still that’s a long way to reach back.
  9. Bump with updated stuff and price.
  10. Never in my craziest nightmares did I think that this would happen at TCS. As a parent, you can’t even really go there. That is a rabbit hole that you just can’t go down. If I can’t trust a school, can I trust a movie theater, or concert hall, or sporting event, or parade, or any other public venue. I want my kids and everyone’s kids safe. I want us all safe. But we live in an unfair, imperfect, world with evil. We just have to either all have guns (not a bad idea) no one have guns (not a good idea) or just hope that we don’t win this particular lottery. Of all the schools in Tennessee for there to be a school shooter (I am differentiating between this type of attack, and a fight or quarrel that ends is violence between students) it ended up happening at home. I do think we need to protect out children. And a school security officer it a good idea. The Kroger near my house has a security guard, malls have security guards, public venues have security guards. It doesn’t mean we are guaranteed to be safe, but it is a deterrent.
  11. We had to cover the memorial at TCS last night to protect is from the storms. We got it all uncovered this morning.
  12. Like milk on a hot summer day
  13. I think you need to buy my 300BO
  14. I just need some work to pop up at WattsBar or Kingston, that would get me close.
  15. Tedison?
  16. As I said in a previous post, I thank the members of this forum for the ability to have decent discussion about this. Maybe it is because we are all Tennesseans, and this event hits home, maybe it is because we know TGO David will swing the “Ban Hammer” if needed, or maybe it is because we care about each other, but this is healthy discussion, not a bunch of folks railing on one political side or the other as o the MO forum (mostly railing against one side). It has been a very hard week here in my world, and I give thanks that I feel comfortable expressing what is going on in this forum.
  17. I do think that the image posted has been shown to be fake.
  18. While more kids are killed “with cars” than guns, they are not killed intentionally and with malice, with cars. I agree guns are the easiest tool. What’s the saying “work smarter, not harder”. Evil will do what evil does.
  19. I can’t officially comment on this in relation to TCS as I am not a spokesperson. But they were not ignoring that.
  20. On another note, it is easy to tell that most of the newscasters are not gun owners or enthusiasts. It seemed to be a big deal that she had 7 guns and bought them all fairly recently. Hell, I have picked up 5 lever guns in the last 6 months. Not all were through FFLs, but that is not in-normal, at least for gun enthusiasts. Now, I am not saying she is a gun enthusiast, but you can tell the newscasters don’t realize that it fairly normal. it is normal, right?
  21. Well, I am not at all for a red flag law that can be implemented by a neighbor or ex, or disgruntled a$$. But if someone is under the care of a medical professional, and that professional feels they are a danger, at least there is some weight there. But still, that can be manipulated and abused.
  22. I know that all of us on the TGO don’t have the same opinions and political leanings, and that we also respect the rules regarding too much political discourse in threads. But I am glad this discussion has not de-evolved into just bashing one side or the other. I am on the MarlinOwner Forum, and the only thread I have seen regarding this tragedy is fairly ugly and one sided and conspiracy filled. I tried to post to it and just had to delete and step away Thank you all for your restraint if you do have strong opinions one way or the other.
  23. I can agree that if a medical professional thinks that a patient’s mental state is such that they pose a danger (to themselves or others) by owning a firearm then they should likely be under monitored care. Now this becomes a medical/insurance treatment issue as well. And maybe (probably) that is really the bigger issue here that needs to be addressed. I feel fairly certain that “we” understand it was not the firearm that made this happen, it was the tool used.
