    Gangland

watch it every thursday. also watch crime 360 and the first 48 quite a bit.
  2. thanks cybernorris!! i looked for it online and couldn't find it
  3. i'd be willing to bet that 99% of hcp holders would never pull there gun because of a "disagreement". there are a few bad apples in every bunch and i guess they give us all a bad name.
  4. a quote from the general manager of a local establishment when asked about "guns in bars". "I don't think guns and liquor mix. I don't even see why somebody would want that.(now the good part) Real men don't use guns to settle disagreements." where did that come from. this guy must really be an idiot.
  5. definitely a must see. looks like it might rank up there with shaun of the dead
  6. i understand that!! the last i bought at walmart was just over $15/bx.
  7. guy on xd talk has 500 rounds of wwb .45 for $240 shipped wts 40 s&w, 45acp ammo in Arkansas - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!
  8. as of Dec. 31 2008 there were 217,975 HCP( http://legallyarmed.com/resources/tnstats2008.htm ) holders in the state. which is right at the 3.5% you mentioned. i'm sure there are many more HCP holders now and like you said if you take out the under 21 crowd the percentage goes way up.
  9. my HCP class instuctor told me this. he said to get as many people as i could to get theirs because "we" needed a stronger voice. i have no idea what the population of Tn is but 2% would be a large amount of people, but wouldn't it be better if the percentage was more like 50%.
  10. i've never noticed anyone carrying a firearm. was told yesterday that only 2% of the population of TN have a HCP, don't know how true this is. if this is the case the ones with their HCP are few and far between.
  11. trust me that's already in the plans!!!
  12. boy that was easy, the shooting part of the HCP class that is. my wife, who had shot no more than 20 rounds in her life, hit 47 of 48 shots. i was very proud of her!!
  13. i've got the XD45C and the XD9mmSC. Love them. the .45 is probably the best shooting gun i've ever owned.
  14. My wife and I are taking our HCP class tomorrow and I am wanting to know what kind of shots we are going to have to take. I know every class is probably different. I've heard that we will have to shoot from the hip, shoot gangster style(with the gun sideways), and with both hands. Is this true or not? I did talk to the instructer and know that we will be shooting a total of 48 shots from 3,7 and 15 yards with 24 of those at 3 yards. He did say that many older women who have never handled a firearm take his class and have no problems. From what I've read it's almost impossible to fail so I'm not concerned just curious. Has anyone ever failed? It seems that they make it so no one will!!
  15. sent me to the old site. i'm computer STUPID so can't help ya on fixin it
  16. my wife and i have a 2 year old boy, 3 year old girl, and 6 year old girl. if we have any of them alone they are saints but when the three are together you would think they were spawned from satan himself. but no matter what they do or how bad they are acting they're still gifts from God and i love em.
  17. glad to hear that!! the big river is one of my favorite restaurants. don't have my HCP yet but taking the class next weekend so i will be keeping an eye out for post like these.
  18. I called a talked to the owner of Hoselton's in Tullahoma/Moore County today about the status of his pistol range and was told the county has passed some ordinances which are keeping him from opening at this time. From what he told me he has everything complete and was ready to send his paperwork to the state before Moore county passed these. He hopes to have it all cleared up and be open within a couple months This sucks for all of us who have been waiting for the range. He is also giving the HCP class when/if he gets the range open. Sorry I don't have all the details but we only had a short phone conversation. I'm planning on calling whoever is in charge of this in Moore county tomorrow to voice my complaint.
  19. i just bought the last 2 boxes of .45 acp(blazer brass) that was on the shelf. they had a bunch of .40 though
  20. welcome!! tullahoma is a fine town. i have lived there or very close by my whole life.
  21. you did a good job on the shotgun and i hope you enjoy it.
  22. looks good. the gun cost $85 12 years ago so you didn't do too bad.
  23. i will take the x2 light/laser off your hands and maybe the holster too. i will say that i just purchased a xd subcomapct 9mm for $475 new. of course that was before taxes. with all the extras i would say $600 sounds fair.
  24. gone now (as of 5:00PM) maybe some of the members here got some before it was to late
  25. looks like ya'll had a blast. i sure wish i still had my bass boat.
