  1. Lake Winnipesaukee! I love that place too.
  2. Last time I was there, at least half the rides were down for maintenance. It is clean, but no cleaner than Holiday World, and over twice as expensive. I’ve never been to Six Flags in Georgia, but was amazed how nice the one in Virginia is. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Dollywood is a rip off. In the interest of full disclosure, I feel the same way about most everything in Sexier County.
  3. C’mon! That’s just a 1911 wearing a Groucho Marx mustache.
  4. She’s one helluva business lady. I admire that. She avoids controversy by steering clear of politics. A lesson that should be learned by other entertainers.
  5. It was a great idea.
  6. You have no idea what I'd do for that pistol, but I damn sure wouldn't carry it!
  7. Model 51 Remington in 380 ACP.
  8. 15 years ago, I bought 4 hot dogs and 4 Cokes at Dollywood...$56!!! Somehow I think she’ll get by.
  9. Yes. Her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. As many times as I’ve been conned into going to Dollywood, I was cheering for the fire to remove that insufferable place from the landscape.
  10. Dolly gets the credit, but the state gets the bill.
  11. I may he the only guy in Tennessee to say this, but I friggin despise Dolly Parton!
  12. Holler if you need antythong.
  13. We should open a "Bubba" museum. That rifle would have surely been worthy of it's own display. Looks awesome now, though.
  14. So is that an FN Mauser action or a Sako? Model 70 Winchester? Of course the stock is beautiful, but I think the color case hardened bottom metal and the cross bolt really add class. The Supergrade stock swivels are a nice touch as well.
  15. I don't know a good way to measure it, but we got a pretty good snow/sleet/rain.
  16. #Gladimnotintexas
  17. Don't buy the cheapest heat pump. Get the one with the highest SEER rating. You'll more than recover your extra investment with cheaper electric bills.
  18. I'd probably be happy with natural gas heat as it blows much warmer air out of the vents, but I live out in the sticks where propane would be the only option. I'm out on the propane.
  19. That's probably about what I'm going to try. I have some 168 grain rounds I loaded when I first got it. I know I wrote down the load, but haven't yet found where I wrote it. I guess I can pull a bullet and weigh it. I know the 168 grain load should have a bit less powder than the 155 grain load. I may just load a bunch more of the 168 grain bullets. They shot pretty tight groups. I wish I had a couple more pounds of IMR4895.
  20. I’d offer to bring you something, but I’m leery about being able to get there. We just got another couple of inches of snow in the last 2 hours.
  21. Since they don’t have any way to vent, I wouldn’t want to use one indoors for any length of time, but on the other hand, I don’t see how they could be any worse than those old kerosene heaters. I have a generator and bought an infrared heater at Ace Hardware. It said it heated 2000sf. It heated my house great when the central unit went out during Christmas.
  22. Don’t look at democraticunderground.com.
  23. Goodbye to the man who saved AM radio.
  24. Please report back if you don't mind.
  25. I just leave mine on auto and let it do it’s thing. It’s been doing that for 18+ years. We’ve been comfortable, and I can’t really complain about the electric bills. I wouldn’t have anything else. (I grew up cutting firewood.)
