  1. Here's Bruce Rivers, a criminal defense lawyer, reacting to Alec Baldwin's charges. He explains why the charges were brought and whether Baldwin was negligent. Criminal Defense Lawyer reacts to Baldwin's Charges
  2. Arrogance also played a role, perhaps the leading role. Arrogance has lead many to a seat at the table of self-destruction.
  3. Why would Baldwin not be responsible, actor or not? If you are a barber, plumber, or cab driver and someone hands you a gun do you feel that you do not need to check the gun because an FBI agent handed you the gun and told you it was OK? Baldwin wasn't handed a pencil. He was handed a dangerous instrument, a real gun, not a prop gun, knew it wasn't a prop gun, and without checking the gun for safety, he pointed it and pulled the trigger. If that's not negligence, nothing is. He killed one person and badly wounded another. He certainly deserves to be tried for his negligence.
  4. If you read the law on Involuntary Manslaughter as to what that consists of, Baldwin should have been charged. Firearms, considered as dangerous instruments by their nature, are more subject to a charge of involuntary manslaughter by negligence than someone who fell on an upturned rake left negligently by the owner on a pathway. Firearms, rightly so, require the utmost consideration by the owner, shooter, or handler. The failures of both the armorer and Baldwin led to death and great bodily injury through negligence hence the charge.

I've seen the Rhino on Youtube. I'd like to try one. The price seems rather steep.

    RIA 5.0 9MM

I didn't see one in my local shop last Friday and they always seem to have the latest in stock. I say at Shot show promises were made and they exhausted the inventory.

    RIA 5.0 9MM

I saw an interview with the president of Armscor at Shot show about the RIA 5. He said that after the first 1000 are sold (probably close to that goal by now) they were going to make the slide for optics different to take other optics besides the C-Mor. That's a good idea. I On the current model, I don't know if the slide is milled or needs a plate to attach the optics. Plates are the weak point for optics mounting. Screw shear happens more and more. Until the slide is milled to accept a standardized optics platform, I won't be buying one with optics. At Gunsight, they've released a Glock 9mm that has a milled slide for optics. I think that's going to be the wave of the future for all optic mounting. Slide milling, no plates. When that happens I'll buy one. Meanwhile, if one with good sights shows up I'd probably get that first. Plus, a compact about the size of a CZ compact would go on my list. I'm convinced that if these pistols hold up as promoted (and I have no reason to think otherwise) these will be the defining point in semi-auto handguns since the 1911 and High Powers (the originals). There's nothing in my lifetime that has radically changed semi-automatics like this RIA.
  8. I want them to see the videos. All of them from start to finish. I merely want a legal proceeding to judge the evidence.
  9. They will be tried separately. Any good defense lawyer will insist on it as well as a change of venue which will insure fairness to the accused.
  10. O hear the siren song calling to you! Seriously, how many times do you see a Colt 32-20 for sell?
  11. Just checked my ammo dump and I have no more 32/20. Not to put the bum's rush on you, but I do have this Colt listed elsewhere. Plus, you're close by and I'm right off the Paul Huff exit 27. You could be giving it a new home by this evening. Thanks for looking.
  12. I would argue legally that it is morally correct to protect ones self and family from those who would steal their food, take or destroy their homes, and arbitrarily take their lives. I can also make a legal and moral argument that my life is my property and due all the protections I can provide to keep it intact. While there are nuances as to when to use force and deadly force to protect property, without property rights all other rights fall to the wayside.
  13. WTS - Colt Police Positive 32-20 I believe this to be a 1923 issue. Very good condition. One chip out of the left grip near backstrap $585.00 cash, no trades FTF Cleveland, TN Off exit 27, I-75
  14. Ayn Rand is not popular with progressives, socialists, Marxists, and SJWs. All the more reason to know her work.
  15. No. It speaks for itself. I found it interesting as it does provide legal information that hasn't been presented. It provides the laws governing police conduct. It provides analysis of what is represented by the video. It also gives a future look into what defense might be presented. And he presents it without hysteria and innuendo. People can watch it and draw their own conclusions.
  16. Just tried it and it works. You may need to sign-in on Youtube in order to view it. Or you can watch it on youtube if you have that on your TV channels. Just search for Andrew Branca. Or you can go here to Branca's website. Andrew Branca - Tyre Nichols Incident
  17. As I understand it primers of all kinds are the holdup. While this won't bring quick relief, Fiocchi is building a new plant in Missouri to make primers for their ammunition with hopes to have a surplus for consumers. The problem is the plant is not due to open until 2025.
  18. I have no problem with Texas Law. Wish we had it in Tennessee. Crime would go down as the thugs get shot.
  19. Ammo may go up or down in price, but it nevers loses value.
  20. Branca presents in this video a legal, factual, and unemotional view of the Tyre Nichols incident. Well-worth watching. Andrew Branca on the Tyre Nichols Incident

Another RIA 5 review but this one delves into what makes it work. There's nothing like it. RIA 5 Internals - How it Works
  22. Avoid any chemicals on the pearl grips. I'd use soap suds from Ivory soap (no water) and rub gently with a soft sponge. Then rinse the soap out, wring it out, and gently rub the residual dampness over the grips. That's all. Consider them clean.
  23. I'm of the opinion to clean up the rust gently, a good cleaning inside and out, and that's it. While this might sound esoteric, your grandmother handled that pistol, then your father, and now you. The worth it might have restored against the worth of having something your ancestors handled and used. Once it's restored that patina of ancestry goes away and it's just another gun.
