  1. I understand what you are saying. But the media and general public haven't any idea of the concept of threat resistance and the necessary use of force response by police to that resistance. Deadly threat people should be neutralized as soon as possible. Sometimes you can give a warning of what will occur if the threat doesn't stop or comply. Other times you act immediately without wasting time pleading and begging the threat to stop.
  2. Yes, it is on so many levels. The cop who was attacked shouldn't be allowed to continue. He's mentally toast as a street cop and I can't imagine anyone who would want to partner with him. Both cops showed ineptitude.
  3. This is a disturbing video. It shows police officers' failure to act timely and appropriately in a deadly force encounter. That failure almost cost an officer his life. Body Cam - Disturbance Call Leads To Officer Being Attacked Pleading and begging don't work. Talking does not take the place of action. Back peddling as these officers did could have easily resulted in deadly dangers to civilians. This is a great example of failures in training and common sense. Don't be like these officers.
  4. The Baldr S works great. Bright light and laser and locks tight with no movement. Nice fit on the P-01 and the buttons are easy to reach and press. I did need to take some metal off the locking bar on the unit but that too wasn't a big deal with 320-grit paper. I found mine on ebay for 90 with sales tax bringing it to 98. Pretty good deal and free shipping.
  5. Nice pistol. I have one, though not as fancy, in my safe. I have also considered selling it for years, but every time I do I stop short as it's a well-made gun, shoots good with JHPs (polished the feed ramp), and has the classic lines prevalent in many of the semi-autos still today. Someone will get a good gun. Good luck.
  6. Considering the source, that's a compliment.
  7. Did you not get the memo that comedy/sarcasm is allowed? This isn't politics, then again, as the old saying goes, "Everything is yellow to him with the jaundiced eye."
  8. As to the balloons showing up, Biden is confident there's nothing to be concerned about and said this in a Rose Garden press conference. The President said, "Here at the White House, we join with the families in celebration at their gender reveal balloon release. That's all this is so let's go have some ice cream." The President then proceeded to salute the rose bushes, shake hands with a dead pigeon, and then pretend to drive a car and honk a horn at the journalists.
  9. Somebody had to work to pay for the entitlements, welfare, food stamps, housing projects, etc. I guess those white people aren't that racist afterall, just taxpayers.
  10. Partial police interview with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. Now you can see what an idiot 'armorer' looks like and the ignorance she possesses. Hannah Reed police interview Here's the police interview with the supplier of the guns and 'ammo' for the set. Interview with Seth Kenny, guns and ammo supplier to "Rust"
  11. Nowadays, everything is racist to someone which means the word 'racist' has now become risible when applied by progressives.
  12. The US has been for sometime now. This is just the latest thanks to years of inept leadership, progressive politics, lowering of education standards, and massive welfare entitlements.
  13. Good article explaining the financial problems and fallout of the current NRA. Keep your money in your pocket unless you think Wayne Lapierre needs a new tie. The NRA Has Lost 1 million members since 2019
  14. I print my own, but I also like the cheap 8-9" paper plates from the dollar stores. About $10 for a 100. The other thing about paper plates is they are thicker than copy paper printed targets. One staple keeps them in place rather than 4 staples when shooting outside. You can use a stencil to paint a 1" bullseye on the back (staple the rim to the target), use 1" adhesive dots available on Amazon, or use a sharpie. I find it's much better to use when adjusting iron sights, red dots, and lasers as it's easy to see your shots on the white background rather than targets with lots of visual noise.
  15. After several suggestions and research of those suggestions, I went with an Olight Baldr S with the green laser. I found a great price at less than $100 which gives me enough left over from what I had allocated to get another set of TruGlo TFX Pro sights for another CZ. What sold me on the Olight was the laser is above the flashlight making it closer to the bore. Thanks for your suggestion.
  16. Or Biden shaking hands and talking to invisible people. With his hand on the trigger that scares me so maybe it would scare them!
  17. I was gifted an inexpensive laser, put in on my P-01, and was amazed. At the range, I zeroed it in at 10-yards to be about 2 inches above my front sight. I was impressed at the shooting results. Certainly makes for combat accuracy and I found no difficulty either seeing my front sight and the red laser point at the same time. Since then, I've been looking for a laser/flashlight combo, and so far the Streamlight TLR-8A G Flex with green laser seems to be my choice, but I'm still looking and considering. I've resisted attaching a flashlight to my pistols, but with aging eyes it now makes sense. I know there are those who would not attach a light for fear of giving away position and recommend the weak-hand holding the flashlight off to the side. Well, I did just that for years as a cop and never found it of benefit. It only weakened my two-hand grip, and tied up both hands, and the bad guys also know that trick. The additional weight is only three ounces, which to me is negligible. I've been shooting a red-dot on my AK that has both red and green. I find I pick up the green much faster in day and night. So I'm entertaining suggestions for other laser/flashlight combos to consider so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. While gun ownership has exploded over the past 5 years, the NRA lost 1 million members just in 2018. For those interested in the shenanigans of the NRA president and board, here's a video that explains the situation from Jim Shepherd. Jim Shepherd on the NRA 2020
  19. You should remember Canada has a pansy Prime Minister.
  20. The NRA is useless. When 500 million is spent on lawyers and PR firms to keep Wayne and the Board out of jail, and not on programs, it's over. I stopped paying membership over 10 years ago. Don't count on the current NRA to do anything except CYA, and personally, I like to see it dissolve and the crooks criminally charged. It's beyond repair.
  21. I had a Marlin in .35 Remington for years. Good gun, good cartridge. Wish I still had it but I have no idea about availability of ammo today. Old ones would be preferable even if more expensive.
  22. That sounds like most big cities already. NY, LA, Portland, Chicago, etc.
  23. Roy Huntington tells the story of seeing a photo of an 81-year-old WW2 veteran holding an M1 Garand with the caption, "I'm 81-years-old. The thought of jail doesn't bother me anymore."
  24. I'm not accusing you of making excuses for her at all. You were reporting what you've read or been told. As to being the daughter of Thell Reed, one would think she'd have learned better because she did in fact, fail to do her job - the one job that really mattered. Hiring someone because they're cheap has, in this case, proved to be extremely expensive. Had she done her job, regardless of the pay, regardless of being a gopher, regardless of her complaints, two people would have not been shot with one dead. That's why, regardless of her intentions, she is criminally negligent. I'm anxious to see the case as I'm betting it will be televised. At least I hope so.
  25. I'd like to know her credentials. Also her statement is self-serving, and while it may be true, doesn't take away her being the 'armorer' whose primary job is to do that job. If she didn't believe she could do it she could have quit. She's on the hook for criminal negligence just like Baldwin, and rightfully so.
