  1. Yeah, Alabama did not accept TN carry permits when I received mine. Years ago, I had an AL permit. Basically, you filled out a form and the sheriff wrote you an annual permit. There was no course work or qualification. It was a poorly managed program.
  2. How can I tell if my wife and kids have ADD? T

    Hunting revolver

I like my 4 5/8" Ruger vaquero in .44 mag. Sites are fixed but its dead on passed 20 yards.
  4. I use a marlin 1894S in 44mag, an 18" 870 w/ speedfeed IV stock, and a SS mini-30 w/ hogue overmold stock. Frankly, I really like the mini for this application.

    Carry Pistol

Just read through all of the comments. I liked the PT111. It was sized nicely. Ergos were fine. Trigger and accuracy were so so. I have a SA XD-SC 9mm. Not very impressed! I like versatility, but I hate this pistol. This one will be gone soon. Tried the S&W MP based on this forum. Very unimpressed. I guess I stick with the glocks (34&36) and tauri (stainless 99 & 605) for carry.
  6. does anyone know if standard AK grips will fit with zero or little modification?
  7. BTW, does anyuone know where I can pick up some plastic grips? I think I might want an all black AMD.
  8. Tungsten: That mustang is awesome. It reminds me of the late 80s/ early 90s. Very clean!! BTW, back in the day, some bazooka tubes could know out some nice bass (vanilla ice, tone loc, run DMC). Bad thing, my sisters mazda 626gt smoked them bad. I think it was one of the orginal rice rockets.
  9. Guys: Thanks for AK and gun shop advice. Yesterday, I picked up a very nice AMD-65 from Bill (aka The Rabbi) at http://eastsidegunshop.com . Here are a few teaser pics: I have not yet fired the carbine, but I must say that I'm very pleased with the purchase. Also, I highly recommend http://eastsidegunshop.com . The Rabbi is a great guy and offers great customer service and good pricing.
  10. Not to be legalistic, but did the legislators have enough forethought to define "sex". Just hate to see a Monica Lewinski type drama play out in the state court system.
  11. Hop[e to make the next one. Looks like I will re relocsting to Knoxville within next 2 months.
  12. All true, but these guys are cited by the media as a resource and fact center. They are truly anti gun ownership. As Strac mentioned, they are against legal ownership of all firearms. They are an enemy to supporters of 2nd amendment.
  13. If you have not made yourself familiar with this site, please do. I particularly appreciate their report cards. http://handguncontrol.com/
  14. I forgot about the Pope show. I'll try to make it.
  15. Guys: I need to pickup an AK w/ folding stock? Any thoughts on best value and or availability? would liek to find one in Nashville or Knoxville area.
  16. The sp101 is a great sidearm. I think you made a great purchase.
  17. I'm not a mall person. Heck, my wife has to pull a gun to get me to go inside.
  18. I only need about 500 rnds. If anyone has any leads better than $.16/rnd, please let me know.
  19. Actually, you'd probably do alright with a $1mm startup budget. You'd likely capitalize costs associated with the range as well as any other occupancy related startup costs. The cash would be used to acquire inventory and cover current expense until you established solid revenue flow.
  20. Reef: Not to derail topic, but do you use an IWB for the g36? I'm trying to locate one for mine. the g36 has quickly replaced my taurus .357 snub and SA XD9SC as primary CCW. I just need to find a leather IWB holster for less than $50. I like the looks of the ones Boomhower is considering.
  21. Wal-Mart does not price ammo the same in all stores. This morning, I bought the last 4 boxes of .45 ACP blazer brass for $9.5x per box. WWB was about the same.
  22. Where can I get one of these badges? I want badge# 007.
