A friend of mine relayed to me a story of having dinner with the Col. at SHOT Show in 01. When asked his thoughts on the ACOG he said that if it continued to hold up in combat usage that it would be a passable optic. So I think that he would have approved of the LPVO on the scout rifle as it seems he wasn’t the luddite that some would portray him to be.

Yes. It had been determined conclusively that I was wrong.

You know, I think you’re right. I think it might be a Polish K-29 https://www.empirearms.com/21093M.jpg

AR Bolt/Carrier Problem
Chucktshoes replied to Clod Stomper's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Gas rings are a wear item. They will weaken and blow out with time and use. That’s a pretty catastrophic failure, but not completely crazy. Inspect the inside of the carrier for damage, replace the rings and go about your business. -
Well poop.

CCW carry from TN to Nevada on I-40
Chucktshoes replied to Johnny Rotten's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You are kosher in all of those states for the kit you have outlined. I'm a truck driver and I’m in all of those states regularly. I’ve researched the weapons laws to know where I’m legally ok and not. -
I don’t have Facebook either. Was able to click through.

It’s a Mosin-Nagant.

For the record, I was never tasered in an official capacity.

Tasers suck. That is all.

Judge Benitez voids CA ammo background checks

The ninth circuit alone has earned Trump my vote in November. The thought of him replacing RBG with Amy Coney Barrett fills me with glee. -
Judge Benitez voids CA ammo background checks

Yep. This case and the AWB case will both follow that same pattern. As a necessary step in the process, he’s a good place to start. His decisions are well written and take a lot of mental and legal gymnastics to justify an opposite conclusion. As judges go, I kinda like the guy. -
Judge Benitez voids CA ammo background checks

For the moment... In related news, Judge Benitez is the one who will hear the arguments on California’s AWB. I don’t expect that CA DOJ is looking forward to that one. -
The honorable Judge Benitez just issued an injunction against the California requirement for background checks on all ammo purchases, the prohibition of importation (bringing in ammo purchased out of state) and mail order ammo deliveries. It is readily apparent when one reads just the opener of the injunction that Judge Benitez has zero time for California’s bull####. https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.casd.571335/gov.uscourts.casd.571335.60.0.pdf

I’m going to move this to the feedback and support board and tag @TGO David and @MacGyver as they are the only ones who may be able to answer this question for you.

If you can walk back down to PA from NF/USO/Swaro, I salute you. If you find yourself dissatisfied with the PA glass, you should still be able to move them on the secondary market without too much of a hit. So I still say they are a good value for the quality they have.
-
Now, this is something I have firsthand knowledge of. I have 4 NF optics. If the price point puts you off, don’t ever put one to your eye. It’s an expensive monkey to have on your back but once you develop a taste for high end glass, nothing else will do.
-
While I don’t have experience with their LPVOs, I have used their red dots. They have grown to be a major player in the budget optic market for a reason. They make a rugged, inexpensive, good quality optic. Is it the best out there, no, but it is very good.

I firmly believe that we lost our way when we decided that the military was a vehicle for peacekeeping and humanitarian missions. I don’t believe it to be a proper application of military force.

It’s 100% a troll. It’s also from one side of the divide discussed in this article instead of the other. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/04/21/behind-protests-two-americas-one-unemployed-and-one-gets-paychecks-column/5167453002/

Ran across this video elsewhere and I could have sworn that I had seen a conversation here about someone wanting to use something like this in their POV. Well, it turns out that a very common lock used by police departments for securing shotguns and patrol rifles in squad cars is complete and total crap.

Sounds like a pretty smart bird to me.

This old Dan Harmon tweet seems to be more appropriate than ever before.
