  1. I’d highly recommend having an approved tax stamp first. That being said, DO NOT BUY THE LINKED PRODUCT! There are plenty of “Solvent trap” kits out there that do a good job of walking the line of being a “80%” suppressor. That kit is not it. It is a complete suppressor. Just the interior piece alone will get you PMITA prison time. It is a mono-core baffle stack and qualifies as a suppressor by itself. Also, if you notice, it doesn’t just come with a cap you have to drill out, it comes with a ring that will screw onto the outside end. If you do that, you have a complete suppressor. This kit is illegal as all hell and the only reason I’m not killing the link is that I want y’all to see what to avoid. It doesn’t matter if you have an approved Form 1 and stamp in hand. You can’t buy all the parts complete and then slap an engraving on it and say you “made” it. It doesn’t work that way.
  2. If folks were testing positive for COVID-19 then impacting the earth at terminal velocity, you would have a point. When they test positive and then end up in the hospital with or die from severe respiratory distress, not so much.
  3. Damn it. John Prine is in intensive care now with COVID-19. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-VRdTABV0f/
  4. It occurred to me today that with all the quarantining, isolation, etc. going on that folks are going to have a lot more time on their hands. As I remember an old saying having something to do with idle hands, I strongly suspect that dishonest shenanigans are going to be on the rise. While I don’t think we’ve seen too much of an uptick here, we’ve always been very lucky on that front to have a low instance of dishonesty here, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to be extra vigilant for folks trying to take advantage. Keep a skeptical eye, and if something seems off, walk away. Please be sure to flag any posts/ ads/ interactions that are suspicious and make the moderation team aware. Thanks all, and be safe out there.
  5. I have one rifle with a tail switch setup, one with a pressure pad, and I can’t settle on which is better either.
  6. Now for some sad news. Joe Diffie died after testing positive for Coronavirus https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/joe-diffie-country-singer-dead-obituary-974556/
  7. On the list of bad ideas, this one is pretty high up there.
  8. I just rolled through one of our terminals and they had an associate doing health checks on all inbound drivers asking questions and checking temps. All of our dispatch/road assist/computer based in house associates are telecommuting. We’ve got as few associates in the building as we can.
  9. We are as a general rule. The truck stops have all closed their lounges and the restaurants are all takeout only now. They’ve prohibited the used of the refillable mugs. The roller grills and self serve foods have either been shut down completely or roped off and manned by an employee using the enhanced food service rules in place now. Everywhere I go (not just the truck stops, shippers and receivers as well) I see more wet surfaces from being freshly wiped down with disinfectant than I ever have before. The whole industry is taking this very seriously.
  10. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robsalkowitz/2020/03/24/final-crisis-diamond-comic-distributors-halts-shipments-of-new-comics-in-response-to-covid-19-shutdowns/ On the subject of small businesses failing, this could be a mortal blow to the print conic book industry.
  11. This feels very topical.
  12. I can think of about a million different reasons why this is a bad idea. I’m pretty sure every regulator and insurance person will take the same view. Especially if you have neighbors who live in distances measured in anything less than “over in the next holler. I’m not trying to be rude, (I’m known for crazy and dumb ideas) but I am pretty sure you’re going to find regulatory and financial roadblocks at every turn in attempting to do this out of your home.
  13. My understanding is that it’s tax free because it will essentially be an advance upon next year‘s tax returns. I could be wrong but since nothing is actually complete at this point, who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  14. I cut checks to the IRS. I don’t get tax returns. Any checks they send me I will have to include it in a bigger one to send back to them.
  15. I filled up yesterday for a base price of $.85 a gallon! It was glorious!
  16. That’s OK. I have to say I have quite enjoyed not having you bunch of idiots on the road lately.
  17. Yeah, best I can tell , this does nothing for me as an IC. I am ok with that. I’m still working and doing well.
  18. I will not let you kill my hope.
  19. On the flip side it might put an end to a lot of the insane SJW BS. It’s kinda hard to make up 47 new genders when you have real problems, like needing to eat.
  20. It’s first time buyers that are flooding the shops. Most of the guntubers I follow have been releasing videos for new gun owners over the last few days. On that front, be a good face for us, y’all. Reach out to help and educate the new folks. There’s a lot of folks out there who were anti-gun, or at least ambivalent who just learned that nobody is coming to save them. Now is the time to help them become cognizant of how to be a responsible and safe gun owner and bring them over to our side regarding gun rights. Stay non-partisan when teaching and even when explaining the threats to their gun rights. We want to bring them over to our side, not chase them back with even more commitment than before.
