I do have grave concerns about red flag laws, because there is no real due process there. In addition, if it’s a situation where somebody is so unsafe to have access to firearms, then they are not safe to be in public at all. They should be in a place where they are receiving the treatment that they need to help them function in society safely.

This brings me back to a position of making it easier for family being able to involuntarily get folks help along with state support of mental healthcare resources.

I don’t find myself able to cheerlead these videos. Regardless of how much I respect, and am grateful that the officers depicted were able to perform their job in the manner in which it needed to be done to minimize loss of life. I can’t get past the sadness of knowing, what transpired before they were able to arrive. I cannot even begin to fathom the emotions you are experiencing being directly connected to it. I’m praying for you and all of the families directly affected by this.

Of note, major rumor is that the shooter is a person by the name of Claire Sorrento AKA “Keffals”. This is highly unlikely to be true as Keffals is a Canadian. Keffals is also a highly controversial and highly disliked trans-influencer. So the odds of being the offending party are low. These kinds of hoaxes should be expected. Remember, early reports are always to be taken with large grains of salt.

Periodic reminder to folks to not skip jury duty. It’s an opportunity to do actual good. As a juror, you have not only the right, but the duty to vote on the validity of the law, as well as whether or not the person is guilty of violating it.
