I'm hoping the Supreme Court is going to tell Obama that.

Edit: Oops. I over touched the "Post" button.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Giving me a hug isn't going to make me want to join the other team.

Gene Simmons' show is pretty refreshing compared to Ozzy Osbourne's show. Gene can communicate clearly, no drugs, and his kids are respectful and loving. I'm not a regular viewer but I have been impressed by what I have seen. I guess he's too clean to be a role model today. I think today that requires a rap sheet and a foul mouth.

Some background: A few years ago, in a different state, I bought some property and was able to recover a fair amount of the purchase price by having it thinned by a logger. If I remember right we did a 65/35 split on what the logs brought in. 65 for me, 35 for him. I hardly missed what was removed. I used some of the tops that were left for heating my home. Most was hardwoods, some pine. All things considered, a great deal with no regrets. I'm currently looking at some property in east Tennessee (Grainger County) that is mostly wooded and have been thinking of trying the same thing. Is there anyone in this end of the state knowledgeable about the current demand for timber and if a similar experience could be possible here? I understand hard numbers are impossible without a close look at the property but I'm just trying to get an idea of if this is even feasible to consider in this area. A good bit of this land is steep like most land in this area but does have a reasonably good road to the rear of the property. Ultimately, my goal is to have a place to shoot without the headaches of going to a public range. The TGO family is a diverse group and even if there are no experts, I expect there are at least some opinions. Any input is appreciated.

Well this is a little better than the ADT sign out front.

I'm also considering a new roof. Probably metal. Anyone know what an average price per square foot would be installed?

Can't wait to see where this goes next.

I hope I don't trip and fall following this thread rapidly down hill.

I was told the same thing, in different state.

I second the SG Ammo option. A great place to buy bulk and great customer service. Usually about the best total price as well, including shipping costs.

I don't think too many people "worry" about what others think. As some have stated above, they're primarily interested in another opinion.

Catch a couple of episodes of "Duck Dynasty". I believe they're located in Monroe, LA. They seem to have good family values. And they love guns.

And that, my friend, is why we spend so much time on TGO.

To the media, an Airsoft is just another type of Glock Assault Weapon. -
I took your advice and did a search for the U-75 antenna and found it, like you said, at Consumer Depot. They don't even list specifications. That's a red flag to me. I'm assuming the model name translates to U = UHF only, and 75 = the characteristic impedance, 75 ohms, the standard RF input impedance for a TV today. If it works for you, perfect. I would never criticize someones choice if it delivers what they need. I don't believe most people would want a UHF only antenna (no VHF elements). Unless you only have UHF channels in your area (unlikely). Or price is a major concern (possibly). Or the VHF channels are so strong the UHF antenna gets them anyway (you live under the VHF transmitting tower). I ran a check on Clarksville and there are no strong signals in the air and of the moderate strength signals, half of them were UHF and half VHF. Of the four major broadcast networks in the area, CBS and NBC are VHF and Fox and ABC are UHF. Most people will want to receive the VHF channels (2 - 13) as well. If you live in an area with lots of strong off air signals, you could probably get by with a wire coat hanger. About 25 cents.

I also found USAA insurance to be a more expensive option. Currently my home is with the good hands people and my vehicles with the gecko.

I have a son in law that I wish could have this experience.

Years ago I had some property logged. I asked the logger how he kept the bugs off him. He said he put a dab of diesel fuel on each shoulder, shirt cuff, and pant cuff. I gave it a try and it worked quite well. And cheap. A pint of diesel lasts a long time if that's all you use it for. Sometimes simple is good.

i think that's the point.
