You can tell when the pistol was made by the first three letters in the serial number. It will be easier to take it with you if you have a smart phone. Glock Serial Number Research Project - Glock Talk

G17 and 19 police trades are going to be harder to find. G22's and 23's are what most agencies issue so they are easier to find. Call Craig's Firearms in Knoxville. Craig's Firearm Supply, Inc. Police Distributors Craig's is the only Glock law enforcement distributor in the state. If a law enforcement agency buys new Glocks they have to go through Craig's so they get a lot of trade ins. or check here Used Glocks or Firearms, Guns, Rifles. Grain Valley, Missouri.

If you want to buy a new G19 join the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation for $35. Glock Sport Shooting Foundation With your membership card you can buy a new 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32 or 33 for $425.00 from a participating dealer. http://www.gssfonline.com/GSSF_Pistol_Purchase_Program_Information.pdf That would bring the cost of a new G19 to $460.00. The price that I am seeing locally is about $550.00 for a new G19. With membership you can shoot in the GSSF matches and you are eligible to attend an armorer's course.

Is this one of the models with the ambidextrous mag release? If not, would an extended mag release help ? Glock does not make an extended mag release for the large frame models. Here is a link to an extended mag release that has good reviews. Vickers Glock Mag Catch by Tango Down | Glock Mag Release The mags that came with a 21SF should be drop free.

I have had the same results from my G22 and G23. Try this first.
-
1) Try cleaning and oiling it first. 2) Mark your mags so you will know if the problems are always occurring with the same mag. 3) Try a few different brands of ammo to see if that is problem. 4) Call Glock customer service or get with an armorer. With all that said there are many reports of people having problems with the Gen 4 guns.

Airweight revolvers are designed to be carried a lot and shot a little. I have a S&W 642 which is the concealed hammer version of the 637. The +p ammo is part of the problem. Get some standard 38 special target loads for the range. My 642 came with a set of hard rubber grips (Uncle Mikes I think). I replaced them with some Hogue soft rubber grips and that helped some with the recoil. You should take your mom to a range where you can rent several types of handguns or find an instructor who has several types of handguns to let her try so she can decide what she is comfortable with.

Most of the things that I have heard about them are not good.

https://www.glocktraining.com/Schedule.aspx Glock Armorers Courses are open only to law enforcement, Glock stocking dealers and Glock Sport Shooting Foundation members. If you are not law enforcement, join GSSF. In stock 5.45X39 Around Johnson City?
Karnage replied to DarrellG's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
If you're buying a couple of hundred round every other week buying a spam can is the way to go. If you need some to go shoot and can't find any, let me know. I could part with a couple of hundred rounds. -
From someone who owns both, keep the Glock. If you are still not satisfied, save up and buy a pf-9 since they are about 1/2 the price of a Glock.

How much do you need ? I might be able to help you out. -
1) Put the slide into the position that it should normally be. You will feel some spring tension and you will have to hold it in that position. 2) Pull trigger 3) Slide will come off 4) Reassemble correctly.

Yes, I have one and I love it. Just like shooting .223 except about 25% of the ammo cost. The two downsides are the uppers are more expensive than .223 and the 5.45 ammo is very corrosive. I have this one Smith & Wesson M&P15 5.45x39 Upper Receiver Assembly 16in. New If you would like to get together one day and shoot mine send me a pm.

I use the rubber decal grip and a plug on my Glock 27. DECAL GRIP

I have had the Primary Arms M4 for about a month and I love it. I have had a Primary Arms micro dot for over a year and have never had any issues with it. Great products for the price.
-
Where did you find it? Been looking for one for 6 months.
-
Keep them. You can never have too many spare parts.

I have used Lucas gun oil for about 5 years. Great stuff. My favorite part is that it doesn't have an odor to it. The down side is it is hard to find in the tricities.

You will need a punch (don't remember what size right now) to remove the roll pin from the gas tube in the front sight block, a barrel wrench, a torque wrench, a vise, and an upper receiver vise block.

If you have a friend that has the tools you will need you can put a flat top receiver on in less than an hour for less than $100.00. If you don't have a friend with the tools and you don't mind to travel 100 miles I would be happy to help you.
