1. Get one of the freon hose with the guage that talks about outside ambient temp. Pretty simple directions included to use, hook up to low side, make pressure read where chart says for temp. All of them I've seen show the temp range like this - 65 Deg F = 30 psi, 75 Deg F = 40 psi, 85+ deg F = 50 psi with the max pressure on the low side being 55 psi. I've used that now for a few years with good results. That'll get you through the weekend (and longer depending on leak size) until you can get it in for leak repair under warranty.
2. What did I do wrong.................nobody has a defender? I did some searches and didn't find anything useful, did I miss something?
3. Be ready, he might come back and say meet him at CHA (Chattanooga airport), which is ~ 45min + from MBT (Murfreesboro airport), depending on cruise speed. I do know that a lowly Cessna 152 can make that trip in a hour and that V-tailed Bonanza is faster......................
4. I think next week will be like this as well. I kept seeing commercials during the show for next week and IIRC, they had a regular episode, then a tribute show for Capt. Harris.
5. It's amazing to me how something so simple in diagram form can affect so many positively.
6. .....................and what are you going to do with that astroglide................ Wait a minute, I don't want to know
7. I have recently picked up a slightly used Colt Defender and am looking to install some night sights. Can somebody sort out all the goobledy gook and tell me what I need? Also, is there somewhere local to M'boro/Smithville that might install or have them, or is it something I could do myself? Here is a pic of what it has now.
8. I am sure everybody is on top of this who cares but just in case, the last episode of Capt. Harris is tonight, a two hour episode on Discovery. May he rest in peace and know lots of people will miss him.
9. My daughter complained that she was bored earlier, so we went to Walmart and bought Mario Kart for the Wii and then we played it awhile. Then, while I cooked chicken on the grill, she worked on the corn and the mac and cheese (with supervision) so that when wife got home, all she had to do was sit down and eat. I might be safe for the evening
10. With careful inspection of the compression fitting, it can be used again. Where the problem with compression fitting reusing comes in is if the initial installation was racked up TIGHT, causing the crimped on "ring" on the pipe to disfigure. If it comes apart ok and looks ok, it will probably work just fine. That ring on the pipe seats against the fitting and clamps itself sealed with the "cover" nut that slides down the pipe when you take it loose. Be careful of flexing the copper excessively...................too much flexing leads to cracks
11. New in the box, just found it cleaning out my dads shop over last weekend. Don't know why he had it.
12. Well, parking at the airport could lead to marriage.........................
13. I would have thought somebody around here would have already mentioned Wonder Woman, if for nothing else, the slo-mo running scenes with the heaving cleavage.
14. It's right about here when it hits..................HEY SARGE.................I GOTTA GO TAKE A........................
15. Pretty cool. One gaff though, when they start to drive away, the "bullet" holes etc. in the hood are gone.
16. Cause for the most part, you normally don't get to see them. You do get to see the tops all the time with low cut outfits.
17. I liked this one too. I was disappointed in how they "ended" it. I thought that short lived show "Over There" was about one of the sandboxes. Had some good characters and could have been a good series but just wasn't expanded upon for some reason
18. There are ways to "stealth" an antenna. Really thin wire in a handy tree, or using one of the screwdriver antennas on a tripod with a counterpoise would probably work great, and easy to put up when done.
19. :D Gee, I hope he has his harness on................................ Hello OSHA, your not gonna believe this.......................
20. I have not taken the plunge on these type of games on computer. How do they do and expand my knowledge on the "Battlefield" series. I have played MOH and COD on playstation 2 and some on the Wii, so I have some FPS experience.
21. The magic of HF is that if one band is dead, go to another one. Unless you are doing some specific freq. hunting, it is no problem to find people talking, no matter what time of day or night it is. A simple wire dipole will get you running in fine fashion, you would be surprised by what you will hear. People regularly schedule contacts with each other from various points all over the US and beyond. I can think of one fellow who would go out west during the winter, or was it summer, I can't remember. Anyway, he would have a scheduled time during the day to talk to family back here on 20M and had no problem what so ever. The thing I have noticed about 2M and 440 is that you are pretty much slaved to the repeaters unless your running an all mode radio with a beam and sometimes there just isn't alot going on. With HF, a basic antenna of some sort, either tuned or run through a tuner, will expand your horizons greatly and you can always find somebody somewhere.
22. buzzzzzzzzz(dial tone)zzzzzzzz..........beep, boop, beep, bop,(dialing 1800WXBRIEF).........uh yes, I'd like to file IFR to Rochester, and I'm a stroke G so I'll be direct and if I get any hungrier, I'd like to change to a lifeguard call sign...........
