  1. I've always wondered about the shoes on the power lines, what does that mean? I've always figured it was somebody who got bullied and "lost" their shoes.

    I'm Back

With all the cold and snow around here lately, Al Gore is probably not to be found easily. If you see him, tell him to call his office.
  4. Over and out
  5. Tell me more about this "Hueys", I saw a sign that they are building out the old Crockett's in m'boro out into a Hueys. Edit - Never mind, it's a Chuys, not a hueys
  6. Fixed it.
  7. Must kill thread
  8. Just had to acknowledge all received advice and say thanks, and also this makes my 100th post. I have never posted this much on any forum before
  9. Modern day neon transformer won't work without alot of modification work to the mailbox. They are now GFI circuited and any "short" to ground turns them off immediately. Now it you have one of the old fangled ones, they only shoot out 30 milliamps............will get your attention
  10. I am 5.2 (google map) miles from there as I sit now and I've never heard of them (probably cause I have never needed to know about cabinet people before). Recon they would give advise or are you suggesting I take the problem to them?
  11. I have a small chest of drawers that I am planning on using next to my computer desk for disks, paper, dictionary, etc., as the computer desk has no drawers. Here is the problem, it is the wrong tint. The computer desk color (comparing to the Minwax stain chart) is similar to "Colonial Maple # 223", the chest of drawers is not really close to anything on the color chart but is in the range of "Golden Oak #210B or Ipswich Pine #221". The chest has only been stained, no poly or other "top coat" finishes have been applied. I have never done any kind of wood work, much less finishing so I am an extreme wood finishing newbie. How do I go about getting the chest of drawers to the right tint? Do I have to get the existing stain out of the wood somehow and if so how? Or can I just go over what is already there with the new stain? Thanks in advance for all advice......
  12. It was easier if you learned how to run the pump/meter backwards on the truck, but it did require you to be on 3rd shift.....
  13. The've got one of the new style bugs like this too. I think that most of the odd ball stuff "lives" in the yard behind the drivers testing station out at the Nashville airport, or at least it did several years ago when I used to work at the airport. Also had the new cars coming in for final package installation and old cars being phased out.
  14. Gotta love some Calvin and Hobbes

  19. Oh, and I had the misfortune of seeing the little girl with the finger up her nose and then straight to her mouth on the megatron..........
  20. "Mom" looks so thrilled.......
  21. I have a Colt 1991A1 with the Trijicon night sights on it. I have never had any experience with night sights until I bought this gun used several years ago. Not having anything else to compare it to, I think that they are about dimmed out but I don't know what they look like new. How bright should they be? The date code on them is 98, so maybe its about time for the refurbishment? I know Trijicon will swap out the vials but I would hate to send in the slide and have to wait only to find out that I really didn't need to.
  22. warm vantige point.
