  1. You probably did grand oldman I think we did something like that when i was in Pendelton people always got a hard on for crazy sounding excercises. and ofcourse it would kick my six now, that i am 50 pounds heavier than when i was in.

    FN Five-seveN

I know it is a bit off topic, but where dod you find the 30 rounder pistol mags at?
  3. This makes me way ahead of Army thinking, When i was in the Marines, i always had my people do lots of sprints instead of long runs. And others always asked why am I doing that instead of runs, and my answer always was, if you have to run in a combat environment you are already screwed. Glad that Army is finally doing something right in thier training, specially since i might have to work along side them one day as civilian

    FN Five-seveN

Yes they do, and by the way one should not look at every handgun as a potential carry gun.
  5. Well just incase you were under a rock for the past week this whole thing was a hoax, created by a law professor to teach his class a certain senario....

    FN Five-seveN

They are actually pretty good pistols, accurate as as can be, and almost no recoil. it has the recoil of a 22LR with the noise of a 40sw. I used it once for this league i used to shoot it in Ca and felt like i was cheating.
  7. Nothing new there Marines Could, can, and always would be able to shoot better than the Army

    suggestions

I'd suggest the Ruger 10/22 the basic carbine is pretty small and light. and mostly i am guessing she is going to shoot from some sort of a bench so that should make it a bit easier. The reasons i recommend the 10/22 are, they are though as nail, easy to shoot and pretty accurate. when she grows up you can get a full lenght stock for it get a different barrel, get a scope for it get the trigger done ...... so much you can do with that, and a bonus, you can also use it and not feel like you just jacked some kids rifle the compact seems to be even shorter http://www.ruger.com/products/1022Compact/index.html
  9. Love to read this one day, but 76 pages, is a killer right now.
  10. There are many options you could go with. First choice I'd recommend the AR platform. Many reasons. 1, light and accurate, 2 ammo+mags would be readily available specially in a SHTF situation, 3 ease of use with little training, 4 accessories galore, 5 can have different calibers by just changing the upper,(223/5.56, 6.8SPC, 6.5Grendel, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 9mm, 45ACP...) and ofcourse you can find a decent one without giving up an arm. You can buy any lower you want they all work fine, just get your self a nice upper, you can go with anything from LMT, Stag, CMMG, Bushmaster, Colt, RRA way too many to name, just make sure it is cambered for 5.56 nato. Now with the rifling twist there is 1:9 and 1:7 the later being what the military uses, and both have drawback. 1:9 like lighter projectiles (55 grain) mainly available in 223 and 5.56, 1:7 likes heavier projectiles (62, 75 or what not) here is the thing, I have shot 55 gr out of 1:9 and have gotten super nice groups and have shot the same ammo out of 1:7 and have got many tumbles in 25 yards let alone longer distances, and 1:9 tumbles heavier projectiles at distance. However everyone is on the 1:7's nuts, just cuz it is mil spec. and then for more $$$ there is th FN SCAR, Bushmaster ACR, Robinson Arms XCR, MSAR STG556, HK MR223 and for less money there is always the AK variants. M1A's are good but are heavy, ammo is expensive and SOCOM16 are as accurate as a sling shot. as you are entering rifle territory, you are gonna find out that only one is not going to satisfy your needs. you are going to end up buying more.
  11. Browning Auto Rifles are very accurate babies. FNAR which is pretty much a tactical version of the BAR is a sub MOA gun. so that should be a good indicator of the BAR accuracy.

    Beretta PX4

I've always had great experience with the PX4storm, with 1000's of rounds going through them. It is a shame that yours is like that, I am thinking you might have gotten a lemon. If the problem continues to exist, ask Bretta for a new one, tell them you got a lemon. I've seen companies send people new guns if the same problem keeps on happeneing.
  13. American Rifleman Cause it is pretty much free. I've found flaws in most all the puplications i have read. So if i want to buy one i'll review it first and then try it.
  14. All depends on the condition it is in. for such a gun I'd pay from $100-$250 depending on the condition.

    New Walther P99c AS

I have 2 QA's as well, they are great guns, both in compact and full size. I do want a full size AS in 9mm one of these days(whenever i find a great deal on one) The QA trigger needs a little getting used to but once you get a hang of it, it is pretty nice, plus the P99's have a decocker that most striker fired handguns don't.
  19. I am kinda wiery of it, why would one try to upsell an item by explaining it soo much. go with the cmmg bargin bin rifles.

  21. This mean i need to get my license renewed, and try to find some turkey areas, as soon as i come back to Tn.
  22. Not funny at all, I'm soo pissed i wanna kick a rusky baby.
  23. Sweeet. I've been saying for ages that this country is going the way of USSR, made possible by both parties not looking out for the good of the hard working American citizen.
  24. That is a really good deal, parts kits for 74's go for about that much. Only if i did not have a 74 already I'd have bought one.
