If not the first whomever who goes to HCP and it is their first time shooting should get some professional training after wards. this is for their own good, as we are responsible for every round leaving our handguns. and for 2 I was just puting out ideas, it maynot work for everyone, but for whomever it works for it is there Everyone be safe. I may not get to come online for a while.

Wow i was not expecting such a hot topic. Just to clarify , i am not trying to step on anyone's rights or what not just expressing my concern. IMHO the HCP class should not be the first time someone is shooting a firearm. And ofcourse it should not be the last supervised session someone is going to shoot. if possible get some familiarization through freinds, family and i am sure there are people on TGO who'd be willing to help out people hoping to learn more.

So i went to an HCP class close to a month ago, the class was great and the instructor knew his stuff. What surprised me were the people in the class. Most of them had Zero experience with pistols or maybe even firearms and the rest had just bought their first handgun. That made me really uncomfortable, my opinion of someone who gets to carry is a person who knows at least a decent amount about shooting pistols and has some experience, not someone who barely knows how how to hold a pistol. Eitherway I might end up taking the class again, as i did not have time to go and apply for the HCP. Since i've been pretty much out of Tn trying to get a DOD contract to go over seas, and may not make it back within the 6 months. End of rant.

I guess i am lucky to not have seen it, or I'd be kicking to TV.

I have done some work in the past just need to tak eyour time. The best stripper I 've found is Called Citristrip (spelling might be wrong) either way it is an orange color past like substance. does not smell horiblle like other strippers and is biodegradable as well. I used this stuff when I was refinishing some gun stocks and it worked like a charm. Pour it, spred it evenly with a brush of some kind, let it set, wipe and there you are.

This is what I found from another site about this shotguns don't know if it helps English proof marks, circa 1900, history unknown. The barrel rib is marked with" London laminated steel".This is good quality side by side shotgun. Sdl, Osh, Dt, Lam.bbl, Eng, Pg, Tp.lev.open. Page 143 Side by Sides of the World Y2K Also saw some suggestions to contact the Province of Saskatchewan as they have archives related to the Reil rebelion that include pictures the S.S. Nortcote. The gun pictured is Typical of Birmingham guns made by several companies, circa 1870-1900

Stone River seems to be closest but is only open towards the end of the week. CHMR sounds like a great place and is only 30 miles away from me. I'll try and check it out today. Thanks for the input folks

I've been browsing the forum trying to see if there are any places around Antich to go and shoot. outdoor perferablely, since the indoor ones seem to charge an arm and a leg. I've not shot a single round since moving to Tn and that makes me unhappy. show me the way please

Saw it on Friday and was not happy with the 3D as well. it was way too flat for 3D and sometime I 'd remove my glasses to check and see if there was any 3D and the difference was minimal. The movies is worth a watch on regular screen, has some good acting and graphics. I believe the storyline of the 1981 version was better however. enjoyed the movies but was disappointed by the 3D. specially at 14.50 a person for the tickets.

A few weeks ago when I was visiting Ca i visited the shooting range i used to manage. and one of the guys had a awesome idea that would add greatly to the Glock model system confusion : Make Glock 40 in 22LR! that way when the gangbanger wana bees come and for Glock 40 you don't have to ask if they want the Glock 22. It addes greatly to the Abbot and Castello conversation of earlier post

Crazy Ruskies.... Here run with this dynamite on a stick and hit that bus with it. he must've been the new guy.

It is not the gun it is the operator. your friend is doing what is called limp wristing, (breaking wrist up ward) and that is what usually causes stove pipes in Glocks, Slide not locking back at the last round.

Oh yes, the Obamasticker with the foriegn writings, show how faithfull he is to this country.

Remington 870 Magazine tube nut stuck...help
mk19 replied to Fadex's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I've had the same problems with some 870's. the way to do this is to take the clamp off first once the clamp is of the tube extention comes of somewhat easily. GL -
Don't you all wished you had joined the Marines and never ever ever had or have to deal with stupid French girlie hats And our rules of engagement for OIF started with No better Friend no worse Enemy.
