I am in.   I had also talked to Tony a bit about this.     I just had a new gun built for ARA specifically, so anything I can do to help, just let me know.  If all goes well, I can talk to Dan Killough about being a sanctioned match.

I can appreciate his issue.  I also find it frustrating when someone posts something for sale and you get no response (albeit, I can't say I have had that issue on TGO).  Even it if is already sold, a simple "sorry, it is sold" response is nice.  I always try to respond to every PM or email until I can get it marked a SPF.

Cliff doesn't really have a website.  He is a shooter who just happens to own a machine shop and he built a one piece rest based on a similar design to the Pappas with some improvements.  What I like about him is he will make some adjustments based on what you want for very little extra.  I had him move up my controls two inches and I think he charged me $25 or something cheap.     The easiest thing to do is email Cliff (colt60@ymail.com) and ask him for some pictures and pricing.  He is very easy to work with.  If this helps, here is a thread that shows my rest in a bit more detail.  http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/91838-craftsmanship-is-still-alive-and-well/    If you have questions on specifics of what I chose and why, just PM me.

It made by Arnold Machine. Cliff is a great guy. There are similar rests made by Hall and Pappas. I like the Arnold version the best, hence why I got it over the others.

I would just say Key West. Not sure what else it could be either.

I call BS on him. I don't think that even in NY that would be legal. A warrant for what?

 It's 4" around.  Not much bigger than any other cover plate of any design.

  I can understand that.  I am not too worried about it being an issue where I live, but certainly it can happen.  I think break in's are more about what people leave visible in their cars than something on the outside.  That's not to say this won't be locked on.

Yep, I have quite a few.  I really like them.  

I am pretty a-type when it comes to that. My disorganized is overly organized to most. I have about as many cabinets in my gun room as my kitchen. I have a few junk drawers, but I try to keep things neat. Now if my bed would just make itself, I would be doing good.

I did some dumb stuff as a kid, but it really makes you wonder how truly ignorant some kids are today.  I knew plenty of "slow" kids who were smart enough not to drink gas...  

If you like super thin crust (like I do), Nashville Pizza Co in the Watson Glenn shopping center in Franklin is good.

I like the Tacoma's, I just wish they had more room inside.  I am big guy and it just isn't very comfortable.  I had a brand new one in 1998 with the 4 cylinder and ended up getting rid of it because I could barely do 70 in a good headwind.  I suspect the newer 4's have a lot more power than they did then, but I would go with the 6.  My brother has the six in his and he likes it a lot.     I drove the WRX STI before I bought my BMW 340i.  I agree with Monkeybat that it had a ton of torque, but it wasn't something that I would want to drive every day.  And I am not really a hood scoop guy.  It was so torquey (sp) that I was constantly being slung forward and backward even when taking it easy.  I think someone else hit it on the head, they just aren't quite as refined as some other cars, but if that is what I wanted, I wouldn't be worried about quality or longevity.

  Can't say I have heard this issue, but I will check.  I have many very good friends who work at Corporate, some on the top floor.  I am not saying it isn't true, but I know her husband has a early 2000's Xterra and he is looking to get a new one now that they are discontinuing them.  He hasn't mentioned once an issue with oil.    As with any car and any dealer, when it is out of warranty, none of them are going to give you a free $2500 fix.  6 Years old, 105k miles, no one is warrantying that unless you paid for an extended warrranty.   Not trying to convince anyone to buy or not buy a Nissan, but for me, your argument doesn't to me make me believe any manufacturer would do any different.  You just happen to have an issue you think should have been fixed.  There are plenty of people with Toyota's, Chevy's, Fords, etc that could say the exact same thing.

It's funny how when someone has a car that had issues, every car by that manufacturer is junk.  I simply say this as a general statement, not directed at anyone.  I have a Titan and it is a great vehicle.  I and I suspect many others know many people who work at Nissan and overall, there are probably more Nissan's in Middle Tennessee than just about anywhere in the country.  I don't hear a lot about people not liking their Nissans.     Pick any manufacturer and someone will tell you they are junk.  To equate it to guns, I personally would never own a Mossberg because when I grew up, Mossberg equalled cheap crap.  I suspect they are better today, but if someone asks me, I will never pick a Mossberg model to recommend.   I think all cars are 100x's the quality today that they were even 20 years ago.  With proper maintenance and care, almost any of them should have the ability to be a good car.  Go drive them all and pick the one you like best.  I probably drove 40 cars before buying my last car.  I was very surprised at the cars I ended up liking and those I didn't.  I can tell you some of the most expensive cars impressed me the least.  

You may want to check the Honda CRV. Rated very high. My brother has an awd out in Boulder and has no complaints.

I would like to compare some insurance rates with my current rates and would like to see if anyone has an independent insurance agent in the Williamson county area that they use and recommend.  My parents are also moving here, so they will probably check them out as well.   I have Farm Bureau and am fairly happy, but think it is time to do some comparison shopping.   Thanks in advance.

Looks interesting, but if I am paying $650, that starts getting close to Marlin lever action area.
