Thanks for the write up CZ. I downloaded it, created a budget, and got it installed on my phone and my wife's in under an hour. I like that it syncs across all devices very quickly so we can pretty much update and track our budget in real time. Nicely laid out app and I've signed up for a couple of the classes already.

I already have my PS4 pre-ordered. This will be bought the same day, assuming it's released by then.

Midlength handguard with carbine length gas tube?
LagerHead replied to LagerHead's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Almost what Dolomite suggested. I think I am going to install a dummy gas block just to hold the cap on, or possibly find a free float rail. Thanks guys. -
Ok, so I am doing my first AR build thanks in no small part to another forum member. Unfortunately I am having some issues procuring the handguard I want so I am left with this question. My current setup has a carbine length gas tube but the handguard I want is the Magpul MOE mid-length (since I can't find anyone that has the carbine length one in stock in foliage green.) Can I put this longer handguard over it with a JP Industries low-profile gas block? I believe I will also need the round handguard cap but I thought that somehow mounted to/behind the gas block. Can anyone tell me how I can make this work? Or do I need to suck it up buttercup and get a free float handguard?

I wasn't when I got pulled over for this very thing. I flipped a u-turn on a city street where it wasn't prohibited.

I don't like anything to do with checkpoints, real or fake. I think it's a basic violation of your 4th Amendment rights and if you turn around near one, whether or not you're trying to avoid it, you will get pulled over. So in essence you are accosted for doing nothing wrong at all. Complete B.S.

TGO truckers, your opinion on new Fed laws for taking breaks
LagerHead replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
Pretty much all of the opinions above can be applied to just about every single thing the government does. They measure their success by the number of new laws/regulations/bills they sponsor, pass, or help in passing. Once the laws are passed they no longer care if they are effective, which is why it is so damn hard to repeal anything in this country. -
I can't fix this but I will give you a free bump so the guy who can will take a look at it.

Had a very disturbing conversation last night
LagerHead replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Dolomite, that whole "do as I say, not as I do" thing is typical of every liberal I have ever talked to. At least the really far left ones. They alone know what is best for you and their one size fits all solutions are the key to everything from ending world hunger to curing all disease. Don't let 'em get under your skin. -
You're right about the judgment calls, Chandler. I don't like having to make them either. Trying to judge consistently is already hard enough.

If your gun does that from the factory it's not an issue. It doesn't say if it does it you are illegal. It says the gun can't be modified to do that.

Corker Bill Has Taxpayer Subsidized ObamaCars

You forgot that they will also demand they get paid minimum wage. And of course that will have NO unintended consequences. -
Yep. Sounds like it understood perfectly.

I disagree. If society were to break down most people would be scared shitless. They really wouldn't know what to do and would be looking for someone with confidence and skills to cling to. This can be seen by the confident person as a burden or blessing. The burden is obvious, but it may also be a blessing because you have someone who will do menial tasks in exchange for the security someone who has their shit together can provide. Plus, as the article states, people are pack animals. We formed villages, neighborhoods, town, and cities because we don't like to be alone. Being alone not only sucks but it's bad for you if done for extended periods of time. The stress and lack of interaction take a toll on your mind. Having others with you means you don't have to do everything for yourself and you can actually enjoy yourself somewhat in your down time. Of course it's probably a moot point anyway. Or least I sincerely hope so.

VIDEO: Wing Walker and Pilot Killed in Crash
LagerHead replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Oh man, that was horrible. I can't believe how quickly it went from completely OK to as bad as it can get. Prayers for the family. -
I have an XD subcompact in 9mm. Great gun but honestly I rarely carry it because it is kinda thick. Of course a Glock isn't going to be any better. But if it's not too thick for you, you can't go wrong with either gun. When I do carry it I usually carry in waist band so it's concealed. So I guess it's not as bad as I make it sound. :D
