  1. I have them on my Walther PPS and the front sight is fast for my nearsightedness to pick up but the rear sight is difficult to pick up being so faint and thin. It is not very accurate but fast for combat but not for competition.
  2. I wasn't able to carry today because I was with my family picnicing in our city park where law abiding citizens can't carry.
  3. The Video tape is pretty convincing that it's teenagers; don't care about the race thing. Flash Mob Robs Upper Darby Sears
  4. Austin's in Oak Ridge. I have bought most of my firearms from Mike and Don. Frontier Firearms in Kingston has more selection. For accessories you can't beat the service from MidwayUSA.
  5. I think I understand now.
  6. My wife picked up her first gun trying them out at an indoor range 25 yrs ago and it was a Charter Arms 38sp Off-Duty. Now with arthritic hands she won't use it anymore but prefers the Sig P238 HD which is pretty easy to rack the slide, has a light trigger pull and the all steel HD really has little recoil.
  7. I took my wife out to the range to try several of my guns and she picked my 9mm XDM which fit her hand and felt less recoil for her arthritic wrists. She had no difficulty racking the slide. She hated my Ruger LCR 38spl because of the long and heavy trigger pull and the snappy recoil. Now that she has her HCP she carries the xdm in her fanny pack or a Beretta 21A Bobcat 22LR in her pocket. (Now she tells me she changed her pocket gun to my Sig 238 HD).
  8. A high ride OWB pancake holster is as comfortable as it gets and the bulge is about the same as my IWB. The benefit is I don't have to wear baggy pants. This is my favorite holster. Belt Holster
  9. Hope it is a small 380 like the LCP or TCP

    XD guys

simply rugged makes great holsters and mine took 2 weeks.
  11. I should have looked it up rather than repeat what a gun store clerk told me when I bought my LCR. LOL
  12. No. Its the recoil dampening system in the handle. It rattles in all the LCR's if you shake it hard.
  13. I was told this was illegal. I wanted to do the same thing at my gun shop for my son and was told the person paying for the firearm had to do the background check then he can gift the gun to anyone who is legally able to purchace a firearm in this state.
  14. Winchester Ranger Talon
  15. I took his HCP and shotgun course and its worth the cost.
  16. I too believe UFO's exist. There are too many witnesses to discount them. They are not likely extraterrestrial due to the vast distance of space. My own UFO sighting was last summer looking at the night sky with my family gathered around a campfire when this large steady white light moved very fast at high altitude. My son who is a pilot immediately noticed because it was not a blinking aircraft light and moved much faster than a jet. Then about a minute later when it left our view a jet flew very fast chasing it along the same path and we could hear its engine noise.

    Sig p238

I too have a Sig 238 HD and had problems with FTE so I sent it back to Sig and they adjusted the Extractor and said to use Gold Dots. Now after shooting the more expensive ammo it seems 100% reliable as a Sig should be. I only carry it when I can't carry something bigger.
  18. This is what I use. Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel Ammunition 9mm Luger +P 124 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 20 - MidwayUSA

    S&W 1911PD

    Wow, I like it.
  20. I also bought XS 24/7 sights for my Walther PPS and they are pretty fast to the target for my aging eyes. The rear sight line is pretty faint to see which makes it fairly inaccurate but good enough for combat accuracy.
  21. For Home defense I would go with a shotgun and for the Range a XDM

pics please! How do you like the grip compared to Kimber's?
  23. LCR w CTL in an Aholster front pocket is my EDC. It's everything you want and in comfortable jeans is easy to conceal and draw. I have reliability issues with small 380's. I have a Sig 238 but it would occasionally FTE at the range and felt uncomfortable trusting it for EDC.
  24. take it The mags are worth $50 each and its a great concealed carry firearm.
