  1. I crimp with the factory crimp die. I found that without the crimp the bullet is prone to setback. The round hits the feed ramp pretty hard in an AR.
  2. Love mine... holds zero without issue. Sturdy as a rock.
  3. My Bourgeois Vintage D - Adirondack Spruce and Indian Rosewood... My Collings MT Gloss Top Mandolin... Engelmann Spruce Top
  4. Guitar and mandolin... I just got a Collings mandolin and sold a bourgeois dreadnought to fund a new Collings d1a... hope to make that happen by next week. Been playing for about 17 years. I work at artisan guitars down in Franklin... while we sell mainly handmade instruments, we have a few killer entry-level guitars that sound incredible with solid spruce tops, i would be happy to show them to you or anyone here if you can make it in. They are $199... samick by greg bennett is the brand.
  5. The new grip will be more comfortable for some users... it is quite a bit smaller. I bought the new grip for my older 2022 but ended up putting the original back on. The new models also have ext extractors, I have heard no complaints of either, however. Its s fantastic pistol!
  6. That is kind of a "classic" load... but my BCM is much more accurate with 24.5 grains and shoots great with 24 as well. It would not hurt to try a bit lighter. Always better to start low. I've also got an h3 buffer slowing things down substantially.
  7. No pre-purchase wife approval? Wow! Good luck in the near future... I don't think you've heard the last on this either!
  8. Always crowded! Best to get there as they open.
  9. Not that I know of... but I always order wine there so never carry there.
  10. Im having good luck with the harbor freight ultrasonic cleaner using 50% vinegar and water with a few drops of dawn... read that recipe on anoher forum and it works well. The more brass you put in the longer it takes. I do about 100 at a time and then lay them out to dry. I also rinse with a water/baking soda solution to neutralize the vinegar.

I've been hearing good things about the warranty process lately... hope you have a good experience as well.
  12. Have fun... post the pics! It shot great for me with the irons.
  13. was a poor show for me... seemed quite small even compared to the fairgrounds or the old smyrna location. Only 1 ammo booth and zero reloading components to be found. I wish I would have just went straight to Reloader's Bench and saved admission and gas money. I did find Magpul P-Mags for $10 at a table but they were sold out of black... green and tan still available when I left. The window versions were $12. Also, I Didn't catch the brand, but there were stripped lowers for $79.
  14. I believe it is made at the same factory as Brown Bear and seems to look and perform the same. I prefer it to wolf/tula by a long shot.
  15. My wife loves pink across the board and has a pink Mossberg 20ga and a pink Taurus TCP. As mentioned somewhere above, it's no different than guys being drawn to black, stainless, or exotic wood. I think also that it makes her feel more like they are "her" guns... rather than my guns that I let her shoot.
  16. There's a pretty extensive post out there where the guy finally came up with 1/2 each vinegar and water solution... Worked better than anything for getting the crud off of spent cartridges. May not work as well on steel, but seems to work good on brass. UltraSonic Case Cleaning
  17. Its my favorite pistol! Very highly regarded by sig fans... excellent trigger and contrary to above statement it breaks down very easy. The slide stop is a pin rather than traditional lever and is tight the first time or two. I've had mine for almost 2 years with many thousands of problem free rounds downrange. They also just came out with smaller grip but I prefer the original.
  18. Hard to know what hammer spring you have in there, but due to German requirements most p6 imports have a 28lb spring making the trigger quite stiff. The stock 225 spring is 24lbs and makes a huge difference in trigger feel, I made this upgrade to my p6 and it was a great improvement. Many owners who don't use the p6 for conceal carry will even go down to an 18 or 19lb spring with minimal problems. The p6 is one of my favorite guns to shoot, very natural. I have carried it for over a year in a crossbreed. Never had a problem with any hollow points I've tried. Mine is a 1983, so doesn't have upgraded feed ramps.
  19. Just got some in the mail today... will report my results. I got a kit with the CLP as well as the paste. The smell is minty... very similar to Icy Hot, which I have always liked.
  20. It's a name that I have used for everything media for many years now... Extreme Scene Records was where it originated and was a label I was involved in featuring all death metal type bands. I pretty much use it for nostalgia anymore, as I play mainly bluegrass now. Thanks again for not putting me through what Mr. Brooks suffered through!
  21. Can someone please change my username to 'extremescene'? Thanks in advance!
  22. The grip can be tough to get off... may help to use something to help push in the tab... then it will slide off. Its one of my favorite guns and is known as one of sigs best!
  23. Noticed that too... must be a (dead?) younger brother out there somewhere. Jax will also no doubt figure out that Gemma and Clay killed his father, unless Tara hides those letters, which my wife and I suspect may happen... we are thinking she is a lot more like Gemma than she will admit. Anybody know for sure what the Circled Cross symbolized? We scoured the net for a few minutes and couldn't tie it to the IRA or the Russians. Can't remember, but was it the same symbol that was put onto Cameron Hayes' forehead (the guy who kidnapped Able) after the IRA killed him?
