  1. Ellendales in Donelson is very romantic and the food is incredible. My fiance and I had steaks there on Christmas Eve and they were fantastic!
  2. even if there is collector demand you can shoot these guns without degrading value so long as you don't let corrosive ammo go uncleaned. They are fun to shoot and you should definitely enjoy shooting the SKS.
  3. imax or digital 3d? Definitely planning on seeing this one!
  4. I say keep the SKS while you save for the AK... shoot both and love both!
  5. Are you saying that CTD sells fake items? If so, that is a blatant ripoff, but I haven't heard of this before. I beleive they are selling genuine products but if this is not true, please share your experience.
  6. Hero-Gear is simply too far away from me for any accessories. I will reward companies when they have the lowest price for the same item, simple as that. It is definitely about saving a buck, as I am far from wealthy! If you boycott a company that has the lowest price of any internet retailer, then you are ripping yourself off.
  7. Does anybody know if Owl Hollow is going to be open Christmas day? What about New Years day?
  8. You only got ripped off if you purchased from them. If they are high don't buy. It's your choice. If they are cheaper than every other retailer online, then you are not getting ripped off.
  9. risks must be taken to get the shot! You may find it quite difficult to track down the owners to get permission to enter an abandoned house. It is scary sometimes... you definitely don't want to break in... sometimes there are doors missing and you can walk right in. The big fear is that there will be a group of meth-heads cooking in there... they would shoot!
  10. just take off driving and I guarantee you will find something. There are many treasures in that area. Arm yourself with a GPS and go get lost... trust me! Here are some of my abandoned shots, some taken in your area: Collin Peterson Photography Abandoned/Decayed
  11. Magtech has been fine for me but... Remington is pretty much awful. The single FTE I've had out of thousands of rounds in my 9mm 2022 was a remington value pack round. The 45s tend to jam while feeding in my 1911 and don't get me started on Remington .22s.
  12. that's what I have on my 522 as well... working great my first few trips out!
  13. the sig 522 is made by sig usa. there were many early forum posts that speculated the 522 was made by umerex but it is not true. According to SIG Customer Service they are made by SIG not Umarex, GSG or anyone else. My receiver is stamped “SIG522, SIG SAUER INC., EXETER NH, USAâ€
  14. Very true. Also, Nashville has many more attractions if people do end up staying and making a weekend out of it. Gun show by day, honky tonks by night!
  15. Correction: The Sig 522 upper is all-metal except for the handguards. All 522s also come with a threaded barrel. One thing they don't include is iron sights... none at all.
  16. From 5 paragraphs to 1 sentence. That was quite an edit... or 2!
  17. That said... I've seen the 15-22 in stores for $449. Check with Guns and Leather for sure.
  18. $389 cash, check, or debit card. They were marked $409.
  19. Fired another 350 rounds of Federal bulk without a single issue... definitely loving this rifle! Here's a set of targets at 50ft. The top target contains about 60-80 rounds and the bottom were 2 mags of about 25 rounds each.
  20. I personally like the feel of the Sig 522 better and just picked one up at Guns and Leather for much cheaper than the S&W at $389. I did get to shoot the S&W and had no other complaints other than I like the feel of the sig better. I'm at 650 flawless rounds so far. The Sig takes Black Dog mags which make it appealing as well... I just picked up 10 of them for just under $14 each! http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/long-guns/31348-sig-522-guns-leather-range-report.html
  21. Did you write the "blurb" and provide it to the staff? Did you give them a time for the scheduled session? Perhaps you wanted them to write it and schedule your session? I was originally interested in a session when you first posted here but your unwillingness to announce a time for any single session turned me off and I eventually forgot about it. You were just "testing the waters" and should have just scheduled a few sessions. I also listened to your presentation at your booth for a few minutes and decided I was no longer interested. Perhaps this was the problem with other folks. I agree with a statement made above that a vendor shouldn't take their beef out on the organizers on a public forum. Surely it won't be good for business.
  22. Did you make signs or handouts and provide them to the Guns and Gear staff? Surely you didn't expect the organizers to do this for you. You should have been ready with materials. Cost aside, the organizers of any event would never have time to design and facilitate printing your promotional items. I feel I judged the event a little too harsh, the quality products were there if you had money. It seems I may have missed a few things on my list, although I walked the place 3 times. Pricing was a problem... venders should just mark the guns closer to what they expect to sell them at. I guarantee a few people left without ever seeing the tier pricing discount charts on some of the tables. I was also shocked at the lack of prices altogether on some tables. You shouldn't have to ask for prices for an item on their table.
  23. Walmart in Franklin had at least 4 boxes of 325ct Federal Auto Match .22LR left at 5pm. This stuff runs as good as cci minimags in the sig mosquito, for those of you with skeeters.
