  1. Tell me about it. I'm really jealous of those with the knowledge and tools to make their own.
  2. It won't go pending until about a month after the check is cashed. Wait for the check to clear and then call 4 weeks later.
  3. Really digging this. Thinking about ordering the kit for one of my upcoming builds.
  4. They have made some that were user serviceable and some that weren't. Best thing to do is to call AAC and give them the serial number and ask.
  5. Well, I'm clearly smarter than an AAC rep. And since they have had some recent layoffs, perhaps I should go run things over there.
  6. Its amazing you say that Il Douchebag, since I already posted the link above where he could order them...ONLINE! MWUHAHAHAHAHA
  7. Ok cool. just making sure. In that case, you should be fine. You will just need to order the correct piston for the hosts you are using.
  8. What is your permanent address? If you live in Cordova, you will have to have the can transferred (Form 3) to a dealer in TN and then a Form 4 transfer after that. Here is a link where you can order pistons threaded for 9mm use. http://www.advanced-armament.com/product.aspx?pid=603#pid=724
  9. I don't know about the tirant but most pistol caliber cans have interchangeable pistons for the different calibers. Find out if you can put a 9mm piston in the tirant45. Are you buying from an individual in town or a shop or online or what? If you aren't buying from an individual in town or a shop, then you are a bit premature in filling out the form 4.
  10. I order my cards when I order the forms. I have a stack at home of 20 of everything.
  11. In Shelby county, I get my fingerprints done at the same place that criminals get processed. Talk to someone in the courts and see.
  12. I wouldn't read too much into it. Demand has been steadily increasing over the past couple of years. Plus, the restructuring last year and retired examiners left them short staffed. They had to bring in replacements from different divisions. The election isn't the root cause here.
  13. Check was cashed in August. So as far as I'm concerned, that's when the timer started. But if you are talking from pending then yes, I'm within 5 months. Pending on Sep 20. I expect to have it around the 15th to 20th of this month.
  14. Well I just threw a wrench in that for you. Mailed my form 1 in August. January would have been 5 months.
  15. Didn't all of the original members of Sabbath play a short set at an Ozzfest a few years back? If so, that would make it a twice in a lifetime event.
  16. They still have the rifle listed on their website. They might not sell it separately though.
  17. I'm well aware of what is out there and want a Kidd classic pretty badly. But I was asking because Il Duce and I have discussed this a few times and I thought he was staying with the Ruger receiver but he said ALL Kidd rifle. Confused me.

    "The Beast"

Yep. 200 dollars and unfortunately, about a 6 to 7 month wait.
  19. Will do. It'll be a while though. This is pretty far down on the priority list.
  20. I'll be picking one of these up over the next year or so as I now have plans for a .22lr SBR. Ace makes the folding mechanism last time I checked. AR-15/M-16 Specialty Folding Stocks
  21. For me, with noone else that I would put on the trust, I went the individual route. Its not really a huge deal down here. Its a little time consuming but after the first time, its just waiting on the court to call my name a couple of times.
  22. What are you trying to get done?
  23. Yep. Glocks shoot you in the ass. Kimbers shoot you in the hand.
  24. Exactly. The second episode of their new show "Alcatraz" featured a sniper. He was using a Winchester Model 70 and I don't know how many times they said those words or showed the rifle.
  25. Except the receiver right?
