  1. Picked up a Single Six over the weekend. Love it. Need to add some big brothers.
  2. Its 200 either way. The 5 dollar stamp is to transfer an AOW. It's 200 to make and register an AOW
  3. Ruger's MSRP is always really high and street prices are considerably less.
  4. We used to have a few meets a year. I'd be down to hit the range just about any time. Welcome!
  5. Some people can't have enough 22's. My collection is well over 75% 22s. And this one would actually be a good way to get someone used to a good ccw platform and lead them up to a 38 or 357 version.
  6. they just did that. it wasnt there when i posted earlier
  7. Ruger hasn't officially announced it or listed it on their website. I have a feeling that the article was posted a little prematurely.
  8. Congrats man. Sounds like you really have things going for you.
  9. No it will not come with one. You can order one but you can also get creative with tools that you may already have around the house.
  10. The standard stock will be fine. Use the gun with it for a while and you can pick a different stock down the road if you so choose. Its not like you are stuck with it forever.
  11. The dissipator is a carbine length gas system under a rifle length handguard. You get the rifle length sight radius as well. Plus it just looks awesome!
  12. Get the dissipator upper. Dissipators look awesome!
  13. Dolomite, typical threaded barrels for a government length run about 5.75 inches so I would imagine trimming a quarter inch and threading would yield a safe setup for a commander length.
  14. Yep. Physical mail goes to separate places but the phone number is for both. Have your name and serial number ready when you call.
  15. I think he saying the cost analysis from the gov side. It would be easier for the government to raid walmart or their own stock of mre's that would feed hundreds to thousands than it would for the government to take your stuff that might only be enough for one block.
  16. I went pending on September 20th and am still pending as of 2:45 today. Wait times are awful right now.
  17. Weight plays a part of it. Thats a lot of weight that you are hanging out in front of the slide on an unsupported part of the barrel.
  18. Sorry. Didn't see this thread till now. Here is a pic of my dedicated. Parts list after the pic. Surplus Ammo & Arms Lower Palmetto State Armory LPK Bill Springfield trigger job Magpul MIAD grip in OD Magpul PRS in OD Brownells A2 stock kit (buffer, extension and spring) Magpul Enhanced Trigger guard Burris PEPR scope mount Vortex Diamondback Rimfire 2-7x35 Defense Package Ambi Safety selector Rifle Length Magpul MOE handguard in OD Harris bipod on a knights armament adapter Magpul BAD lever Model 1 Tactical Charging Handle Latch Now for the upper. The upper receiver is one of the complete CMMG uppers. I bought the 18 inch upper with the railed gas block because I wanted a long rifle and I knew I was going to run a scope. I opted for all of the upgrades. I got the stainless collar, stainless bolt, bolt hold open option and forward assist. I also opted for the mil spec annodized receiver. Overall I've been very very pleased with the rifle. It hasn't been flawless though. The bolt hold open is a little bit of a pain because it can interfere with feeding if not fitted properly. Either spend the time to fit it or leave it out though and it works well. I also had some light strikes at first but I found those to go away once the BHOA was fitted properly as well. Overall, its been a ton of fun to shoot and it looks mean. Mine seems to like Federal Automatch but I also run subsonics through it when the Mite is screwed onto it.

  20. If TN Jeeps wants to grow, they will need to be active offline as much as online. That is why MidSouth Jeeps has been so successful. Actually, they should probably hit us the MSJ guys to piggy back on some runs.
  21. Anything that encourages a child to use his/her imagination is a good thing. And Santa will bring years of great memories that he/she will never forget. I have no idea when I figured out Santa wasn't real but I know that when I did, life moved on without issue. It wasn't the end of the world. I can't imagine this being a traumatizing experience.
  22. (304) 616-4500 You will go pending about a month from the date that the check was cashed. Call around that time and ask to check on your status. After that, you will probably be waiting about 5 months or more. Your examiner should be Albert Lamberger since they went to the new system.
  23. Great question. But they did. More than once. Likely a **** employee. Regardless, they took care of the problem and have taken steps to ensure it never happens again.
  24. Palmetto State is gaining quite the reputation as a quality company. However, it is worth noting that they have recently had several problems with their complete uppers. An example was a midlength upper that shipped with a carbine length gas tube. Basically, a single shot rifle. Their customer service has been getting things taken care of and they are changing their QC processes because of these problems but be sure to look over complete uppers from them if you buy one. I personally have a PSA LPK in one of my rifles and have no problems with it. It functions just fine. And I'd like to pick up the 20 inch FN upper at some point as well.
