  1. I'm really liking this Bisley Vaquero .357. The hammer spur is lowered for easy access, it has a wide "target" trigger that is light and smooth and it has the Bisley grip, developed by Colt. The fixed sights are outstanding, offering an excellent sight picture. I was shooting WWB 110gr .357 JHPs today. I don't really like the 110gr load but that's what I had. I preffer a 158gr for target shooting and 125 JHPs for social work.

  3. I have studied that battle in depth. The Japanese, in one brilliant move, negated our massive array of naval guns and air power. They moved underground. Our 16 inch battleship guns and 1000lb bombs were of little effect. Our Sherman Tanks, not suited for this kind of work. It came down to a marine with a rifle, flame thrower, satchel charges and courage.  It was the closest thing to hell that any man ever experienced (until Okinawa).   History gives the casualties as 6,800 dead, 26,000 wounded. I have the figure much higher. Probably 8000-9000 dead 30,000-40,000 wounded or dissabled.  (It's they way the counted back then)  KIAs were the ones dead on the battlefield, they did not count thoses who died from their wounds after being taken off the island. The  WIAs were those wounded by enemy fire. It did not count on the job injuries, sickness, back injuries, trench foot, broken legs and other injuries not related to enemy fire and the did not include battle fatigue (PTSD).   All of the Japanese WIA became KIA. That's is why the casualty figures seem so lopsided. If you add all Marine casualties KIAs and WIAs and compare it with all Jap KIAs and WIAs. The Japs got better than 2 for 1.  General Howlin Mad Smith wanted a 10 day naval bombardment and he wanted the Navy to use thier time delayed armor peircing 16 inch rounds to destroy the underground bunker complexes. The Navy told General Smith that THEY were the experts in shore bombardment and they would have the island destroyed in three days. General Smith was Howlin' mad but the invasion went on.  The Japanese were ordered not to do any suicidal Banzi charges either.
  4. I have a Henry in .357. It's a great lever action rifle, for what it is. It is not a 30-30. It drops about 6 inches at 175 yards. Zero at 100 yards.  I choose the .357 over the 44 mag. The Henry has an octagonal barrel and is barrel heavy but it is very accurate and the hottest .357 buffalo Bore ammo just goes POOF. Very little recoil. 38 special recoil is like shooting a 22.
  5. She must have really stunk up the place!  "Oh my God! Somebody get the liscense number of that car and open the windows!"
  6. Shotgun Joe is going to make America safe....Of course you just shot your neighbor's dog because the pizza guy got the wrong address.  What a wanker! He's just one heartbeat away..................
  7. This was made by Rio Grande Custom Grips. You can even send them a photo and they will put it on a grip for you. 1911s and Ruger SA.
  8. This guy is an atheist, a liberal, and is against any anti-gun legislation.  Some of the things he says makes me cringe, but buy gosh he's a liberal who supports the 2nd amendment.  He says that the he has been thrown under the bus, for opposing gun bans. If I had a choice as to which liberal to be neighbors with, it would be this atheist SOB.       http://www.michaelzwilliamson.com/blog/item/the-post-in-which-i-piss-off-everybody
  9. Brilliant! It's like Saturday Night Live of the 80's. Bass-o-Matic Lives!
  10.     I am so tired of going to Walmart and finding the shelves empty of ammo. There are 4 Walmarts that I go to. I got so fed up that I went to Gander Mountain and bought their over priced ammo.  Then I had a hunch. I have been going to the same Walmarts has the hoarders. So I picked a Walmart in the roughest most gang infested part of town. A place the hoarder would not go and I scored big. They had 4 100rds boxes of WWB in 45acp, which I bought two and left two for the next guy, I also bought a box of 380, 357 and 38sp +P. The prices were outstanding. 40 cents a round for 45acp. They did not have any 9mm.    I do not hoard ammo I keep a few hundred rounds of each caliber and that's it.
  11. Every post you make on a gun forum can and will be used against you in a court of law.  Every web site you click on and every e-mail you send can be used against you in a court of law. OR they can just say "screw it" and ransack your house. George Orwell was right.

  13. As long as they keep "whatever the heck this is" I'll keep watching.
  14. The original problem with the gen 4 was it had the same recoil spring as the .40 and it was too stiff for some ammo to eject well. That problem has been fixed. If you did have the stiff RSA they will send you a new one.  I would say that the gen 4 is now problem free. The grip is kind of boxy but the back straps do help. The grip texture is like little spikes but it will toughen up your hands. The trigger is not a refined target trigger, but I have pulled worse. All in all there is only one outstanding feature on this pistol. It's rugged reliability.

    Opinions please!

  16. I love the movies! I grew up in a small southern town with one movie theater. I grew up in the 60s and spent many a Saturday afternoon watching movies. I will always go the the movies. I don't care if popcorn and sodas cost $15.    Stallone wrote one of the greatest movies ever made "Rocky" but he has lost his edge. He's taking steriods and he's old and scary looking. I think the steriods have effected his brain. I will not buy a ticket to see Stallone now that he's come out against the US Constitution and it's ammendments.
  17. I bought the Glock 19 gen 4 when they first came out. The ones with the stiff RSA (recoild spring assembly). They sent me a new RSA for free. Even with the stiff RSA this pistol never jammed. I have been shooting it for a couple of years now. I have shot a couple or three thousand rounds through it. Never failed. When I take a training class, it's the pistol I carry.  It goes with me on my side and is on my bed stand at night. I shoot Winchester Whitebox at the range and carry Wincgester Supreme Elite 124gr +P.
  18. Let me get this straight. Obama wants to subvert the second amendemnt rights for millions of Americans to save one child's life, but if a child gets killed in a drone strike he says " :poop:  happens."
  19. I liked this article on the site: It's in the Tin Foil Hat section   Top Bodybuilder Warns: Don’t Drink The Tap Water! 6-Time Mr. Olympia Warns Of Conspiracy To Block Humanity From Reaching Higher Levels Of Consciousness.
  20. "We broke the NRA" really?  The NRA is a civil rights organization comprised of free American citizens. You cannot break us! It is us who will break you!
  21. "Youngsters are by nature unpredictable." She doesn't think that children should be taught gun safety. I don't like her. She's a moral busybody. She's like Mrs. Cravits on Bewitched. Youngsters are very predictable....if you raise them right.
  22. WHAAAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAA! That's the funniest thing I seen in a long time.
  23. According to his Concealed Carry Application he has a Walther PPK. Browning Hi Power. Beretta 25acp and a Glock 21.
  24. This is a good article on Rambone and his concealed carry permit.   http://blog.riflegear.com/articles/the-hypocrisy-of-sylvester-stallone.aspx
  25. I have seen this magician's trick used by the media before, when they were filming Muslims protesting. They announce "There were THOUSANDS of protesters marching in Washington DC." Then they show film footage of protesters. The film footage that I am seeing shows no more than a few dozen to maybe a couple of hundred. They do this to create the illusion that there were thousands of people marching, when it truth, the numbers were not there. If there had really been thousands of people in Washington, they would have filmed from a higher location and panned the crowd to show it's immenseness. What they did was shoot low angle shots of the protestors so you really couldn't tell how many there were. Unless someone can give me some concrete numbers or better film footage, I would say that the turn out was much less than expected. The liberal media does not want us to know that so they "wagged the dog" on us. With less than expected support for gun control and gun sales sky rocketing, I see a weakness that can be exploited. IMHO, a lot of Americans are turning away from the anti-gun crowd. If we keep the pressure on we can win this fight. Even on CNN's website their video shows a few hundreds of protestors at the most. I see one shot where there might be 500 people in it. Have gun Will Carry.
