I have seen this magician's trick used by the media before, when they were filming Muslims protesting. They announce "There were THOUSANDS of protesters marching in Washington DC." Then they show film footage of protesters. The film footage that I am seeing shows no more than a few dozen to maybe a couple of hundred. They do this to create the illusion that there were thousands of people marching, when it truth, the numbers were not there. If there had really been thousands of people in Washington, they would have filmed from a higher location and panned the crowd to show it's immenseness. What they did was shoot low angle shots of the protestors so you really couldn't tell how many there were. Unless someone can give me some concrete numbers or better film footage, I would say that the turn out was much less than expected. The liberal media does not want us to know that so they "wagged the dog" on us. With less than expected support for gun control and gun sales sky rocketing, I see a weakness that can be exploited. IMHO, a lot of Americans are turning away from the anti-gun crowd. If we keep the pressure on we can win this fight. Even on CNN's website their video shows a few hundreds of protestors at the most. I see one shot where there might be 500 people in it. Have gun Will Carry.

Learn the 4 basic rules of gun safety and practice handling your unloaded pistol with your trigger finger pointed straight and outside the trigger guard. Just drop the militia part, that's the part the some people seem to have a problem with.   We hold the right of the people to bare arms to protect themselves as self evident. ? Maybe? or   The right of the people to keep and bare arms or Phasers set on Obliterate, shall not be infringed.

WAIT FOR IT! STEADY MEN!    The fact the gun stores are empty and gunshows have crowds never seen before indicate that the Anti-gun people are dead wrong. Most Americans support the second amendment or all the non-gun owners would not be flocking to gun stores to exercise their 2nd amendment rights. We need to be steady and maintain discipline.  The Battle of Stones River was lost when a bunch a Ridge Runners failed to exercise military discipline when Bragg attacked the union left flank. We need to be smart, learn the enemy and defeat them. As far a camo is concerned, wear whatever you like. You'll never see me wearing camo......get it?

I think you nailed it. Imagine going to your doctor and saying, "Gee Doc, I've been a little depressed lately."  He writes it down and puts it in a data base, which the government gets. NO GUN FOR YOU!  So does that mean the people who are having problems have to make a choice between exercising their 2nd amendment rights and getting help for an emotional issue, drinking problem or mild depression? Where do you draw the line? Who makes the call whether a citizen is incompetent to own a gun?

   I have a Tempur Pedic king size mattress in my bedroom and was wondering if it would stop a bullet?  I am not curious enough to see for myself but was wondering if using a big mattress for cover was a futile gesture? 

It seems that Andy asked Barney and Goober to safety check firearms. It's too early to say what really happened. I know there was an incredibly long line to get in and the Fire Marshal was there counting heads. Panic buying like I have never seen in my life. Not from gun owners, we already own guns, but from non-gun owners. People who have never owned a gun in their lives. It would be apparent as soon as the cops got into the school. They would see rifle brass on the floor.  If they didn't see .223 brass casings then their was no rifle used.

I have been kayaking whitewater rivers in Tennessee since 1977.  The Ocoee is a lot of fun and not as dangerous as the Upper Gauley or Chattooga.  I don't paddle it much anymore becuase it gets crowded a lot. You'd think being run over by a raft would be like getting hit by a big marshmallow, but it's not.  The Nolichucky is fun also, The New River in West By God is my favorite. In Tennessee I like to paddle to Obed system a lot.

I think Snopes BUSTED most of the myths that the conspiracy nuts are spreading around the internet.  In all situations like this their is confusion and the media never gets it right. It was a tragic event, there was one insane monster gunman and the government was not involved. Also there are no Sasquatches, no second gunman on the grassy knoll and no spaceship at Roswell.

Did our forefathers not right the Constitution and Bill of Rights to protect the people from the democratic vote? So that 60% of the people could not take away the rights of the 40%? So that some president could not decide to take away rights of citizens? They determined that EVERY citizen has certain rights that cannot be taken away by vote or decree.  If they take away our 2nd ammendment rights, what's next? The 4th (You could reduce crime if LEO could just go through bad nieghborhoods and bust down some doors!) The 5th (Everybody knows only the guilty plead the 5th) The 1st (Watch yo mouth!)   IT STOPS HERE! The 2nd amendment stands and no one can change it. That was a great video! The guy makes sense, he doesn't come off as a "gun nut" and he has nailed it.  If we really want to stop violent crimes the we need to go to the inner cities and deal with the poverty and gangs.  Gun Control is not the answer.
