1. What about being a member of both organizations?
2. The BBC is too busy honoring child molesters to worry about the Yanks.
3. I really hate that guy. What an arrogant stupid man. In England he was known as a Twit. He is just mad because in 1776 we had guns and were able free ourseloves from the King's clutches.
4.     I have heard the rich 1% called "Job Creators". Well I am a "Millionaire Maker"!  I work hard and I work smart. If you hire me....I'll make you rich! All I want is a roof over my head, food in my belly and a chance for my children to prosper. Plus...weekends off. Payed vacation. Health insurance, payed sick leave, a 401K and or retirement benefits, a safe place to work and enough money that if a manage it well, can live comfortably.    The American workers owe a lot to unions. Because they became as corrupt as the 1% they fought against, they have fallen out of favor. They will be back when we need them again.
5. You cannot legislate morality. The sickness that this country suffers from is immune to anything the government can do. WE THE PEOPLE must deal with it or it will be our downfall. God help us.
6. I predict that there will be a ban on high capacity semi-automatic rifles and maybe even high capacity handguns. You notice I did not use the term "assualt rifles".  All we can do is write our elected representatives and ask him/her not to vote for this ban.
7. I have to say that is an excellent Mad Max vehicle.  I almost expected it to be pulled by a team of camels but I under estimate those Syrians.  That's a pretty cool design against small arms fire.
8. Thanks for posting that. Stopping power ballistics is kind of like Chinese arithmetic. It's interesting but no one really understands it.
9. I carry sometimes carry a little Smith and Wesson model 36 3". I don't even use +P ammo! Am I crazy? Uh...No. I had a compition with all 13 of my conceal carry pistols and revolvers. The little model 36 won. It is the fastest to draw and fire three accurate shots. I couldn't believe it until I had shot every pistol I own, that this little "old school" wheel gun won.
10.
All the same, I bet I can rack the slide faster than most can turn their safety off. Turning the safety off is a fine motor skill, whereas an over-hand rack...not so much. Pros and cons abound:)
That's why I carry a Glock. No external safety switch. I have a Sig P-238 that is a single action 1911 clone in .380. I have had two failures to fire because I forgot to thumb the safety off. Now I carry a revolver, Glock or XD with one in the chamber. The wheel gun is the fastest to draw and shoot. Would you carry an empty chamber in a revolver?
11. Glock 19. One in the chamber. I have had formal training and I do practice. I do not load/unload and I do not holster/unholster. If I have to draw my weapon there is no need to reholster it. The police will be wanting to take it as evidence. If you keep your "Bugger hook" off the "bang button" you will not have any negligent discharges. For me. If I (God help me) ever have to draw my weapon. I'm going to draw and fire, just like I train. It's simple and simple is what you want in a situation like that. If you are drawing and holstering, loading and unloading, your weapon thousands of time when you carry, then you need to keep the chamber empty.
12. By the time buy 200 rounds to shoot through it to break it in, you could have bought the Ruger LC9. My LC9 has never failed from the first shot. I love the little pistol, even if the trigger is longer than "War And Peace".
13. I would go center mass. It would be cool if someone on this post could do a little experiment on ballistics and winter clothing. I would love to know how many layers of winter clothing it takes to stop a handgun round. There must be some research already available on the net.
14.
Will, how do you know any of this? Were you one of those laid off? I don't have anything with collective bargaining but it isn't the workers who came up with the product, and it's certainly not up to them as to how it's marketed. From the stories I read, most of the employees voted to take a pay cut and whatever else to keep the business rolling, but one union voted to not accept the terms offered by the company. I also doubt the executives will make a dime going through bankruptcy. A bargaining in good faith is just that. How can a company invest in new technology if it can't pay its existing bills? They can't just keep on borrowing to make a payroll. That's too much like the federal government. What does China or Ronald Reagan have to do with this? Companies are failing or reducing workforce all over this country right now, and Hostess' problems have been known for a while. They have been keeping the doors open for possibly too long, already. I guess I'm what you call a blue collar worker, also, and I have to go through contract negotiations, just like they did. If it meant to keep the doors open or close, I would have most likely gone along, just to have a job. It's the company's responsibility to turn a profit. It's the employees' job to do their job at a reasonable wage. No one said they had any other right, other than what they negotiated, and, if the company had negotiated in good faith and the union rejected it, all bets are off. They(unions) were bluffing in their negotiations because they didn't really think the company would close it's doors. Their bluff was called. No one is trashing unions, well give me a moment and I might, but the tail only wags the dog in Hollywood.
I liked your response. Hostess was doomed before the strike even happened. Blaming unions has become a knee jerk reaction, we do it without even thinking. Even if the unions had not gone on strike, the Twinky's days were numbered. Cutting employee benefits and wages would not have saved the company. The owners of the company will sell the rights, and get rich, to a company that is capable of making a profit off the brands (Mexican). 15. Didn't he say he was from another planet? A magical mysterious place where there is no violence. I live in Durham.............I'll keep my handgun.
16. I figured someone would use this as an opportunity to blast the unions. In this case the unions did not cause this. Merrita management failed miserably. They did not reinvest in new equipment and new technology that could have saved the company. They lacked the marketing savvy to sell their product. They used their profits to fatten their wallets and they were trying to save money by robbing the hourly workers of their hard earned wages and their pensions (future). It's so easy to blame the unions. This time that just isn't so. In a free market society, companies who fail to innovate and market their product are going to fail. Unions or not. China doesn't have unions they have what's called Slave Labor. They have employees jumping off the roofs to get away from the hell they live in. I'm am a firm believer in a free market economy and collective bargaining. Like Ronald Regan said "Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost." I have been a blue collar worker since 1977. I have never been in a union because I have worked in the south. To keep the unions out of the south we were given wages and benefits commensurate with the union workers. For that I am greatful.
17. Thanks for posting that review. The Colt New Agent is near the top of my wish list.
18. Here is a good article compairing the 30-30 to the .357 magnum lever actions. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/05/chris-dumm/lever-action-ballistics-30-30-vs-357-magnum/
19. TWO Thumbs up on the Glock 19. Don't listen to the whiners. Get the Glock 19. It is a truly great side arm. It will shoot where you aim it and it will never fail you. "Waaaaa! The grip angle isn't right" "Waaaaaa! The trigger is weird!" "Waaaa! The sights are funny" "Waaaa! It's plastic!" "Waahaaahaaaa! It's not made in America!"
20. Cats that look like hitler?
21. I had trouble at first but now I can break it down and reassemble it with no hassle at all. The more you do it the easier it gets.
22. Just use a small amount of grease. Any grease that is built up around the rail, is not doing anything. I grease my rail, work the action a few times, then wipe off any extra.
23. Let me guess.....you have a Kahr?

New ink

No dude. I'm just joking! I don't think anyone should be allowed to get tattoos!
25. Will Carry

New ink

That should be the only tatoo allowed by law and given only to Marines. OK the Navy can have an anchor but that's it. The Air Force Pararescue team can have their "Green Feet" tatoo also.
