    PLUM CRAZY

I was looking at one of these, do any of you know anything about these? Thought it might make a cheap plinking rifle. $120.00 and free shipping.
  3. Ok, last year I killed my first deer with a handgun, a Ruger SBH. Now I'm thinking that I want to try it with my .44 cal. blackpowder revolver. I am thinking inside of 40ish yards. What are ya'lls thoughts about this yes, no, maybe. I have a .54 cal. T/C also but, thought this might be a nice little challenge. What do you think, crazy?
  4. :wave:Hello and Welcome aboard.
  5. Now that is some nice photos there. The size of that gator in one picture. wow
  6. To the OP, here in the Madison Cty. area most charge between $20 and $30+TCIS. A month back I found a guy in N. Jackson that does them for $10+TCIS. Just wish I had found him about a year ago, I would have saved a considerable amount of change.
  7. Razorback, I checked my card this morning and the ATF chaged me on the 21st. which was two days after I mailed it. So I guess we will just have to wait and see if they send it back or let it through. Will keep you posted.
  8. I would have to agree with Tom and Jamie. Those big ole barrels would be pretty intimadating to me, but I'm no BG.
  9. Someone beat me to the EMF, and I talked myself out of the ported Marlin. Was looking around on GB last night and found a Marlin 1984-FG .41mag. (been looking for one for a while to go with another of my Blackhawks). Bid on it, then I noticed it was a micro-goove barrel. DANG IT. Now I just hope that somebody comes along and wants worse than me. Then I can get back to the .357.
  10. lol
  11. Thats a good thing, I'm 51 and never seen one either and hope it stays that way. Seen enough of the aftermath up close and that is scary enough,
  12. I don't know, thats just what it said. Any way I just made a offer on the EMF, will see what happens. here is a picture
  13. Yeah, I seen the article in the American Rifleman about them a couple mons. back. That would be a nice toy to play with, but right now I want something with a little longer barrel.
  14. I sent mine off Tuesday and took a copy to the sheriffs office. I didn't put the county on mine either so I'm sure I will be getting my back also. Dang it!
  15. Ok, I have been wanting to buy a lever action .357 for some time now. I found an EMF Hartford with the brass receiver and 20" barrel for a reasonable price. Don't know anything about EMF. Also a Marlin 1894cp for a little more, cp, compact and ported. I think it is a 18.5" barrel, it is a little more and not sure what the shipping is on this one. Both are the best prices I seen a quite some time. So what are ya'lls experience with these, likes or dislikes. Thanks in advance. Edited: the barrel on the Marlin is 16.25" instead of 18.5".
  16. You have to be 21 to buy one, so how could you carry at 18 if you can't purchase one . lol
  17. Kind of scary ain't it.
  18. HOLY revived thread Batman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I myself like BUD for my beer, every day and weekends. As for the harder stuff I've been drinking some Forty Creek, somebody turned me on to it last year. I think it's pretty darn good, and at good price.
  20. I stopped in the local wally world last weekend, the cashier ask me if it was for a handgun. I said yes at first then I said both, I told him I had 5 of one and 4 of the other and to pick which ever he chooses.
  21. +1
  22. That was pretty cool. Looks like something that Pink Floyd would have done.
  23. We draw names on the wifes side of the family. Last year my FIL got my name, ask me what I wanted, I said some .22 ammo would be just fine. Got two 500 winchester bulk packs, I sure hope he gets my name again this year.
  24. Sgt. Joe isn't that a metal detecter right inside the door of that PO.
