I just report what we get in on trucks at night ( in Manchester). Tonight is SOL. No trucks, no ammo in and no, we don't have any in the back aside from shotgun shells. Handgun ammo is scarce, but we got plenty of shotgun ammo for those that need it.

He who shall not be named? I guess I'm lucky to not have been here when he was starting all his shenanigans. I won't say his name as to give him some sort of recognization, and won't because the guy is going about it all wrong. He probably would OC a Bazooka if he could get away with it.

Seeing more and more of the "police state". It is only a matter of time. If there is nobody to rebel, there is no rebellion. Too big a government and there will be no turning back. The Empire is rising.

Well, I have decided to go "fully loaded". Hidden of course. First thing is I don't want a confrontation, I want to get away and as far as possible from the attackers as possible. Second, If i can't get away, I want to be able to hide or make the trip in finding me by the attackers not worth it. And third, I want to be able to defend myself properly. Have cell-phone, and by god I'd be calling the police for help. But we all know they don't always get here in time. So in addition to my "mobile arsenal" I have decided to keep my survival pack in the truck as well.

Well, I had a dream last night and it scared me. I dreamt I was shot being a bystander witness to a Truck( semi) hijacking in my hometown. I had my handgun on me and was concealing and Iwas nowhere near the incident taking place, Yet I still was shot. ( I think it was a .22 that got me). All I know is I woke up thinking something like this would probably never happen but nobody knows for sure. Best to be prepared anyways. Maybe I have been thinking too much about guns.....Wait, is there such a thing?

If say a person had a bad dream? And the bad dream caused the person to want to keep more than just a handgun in his vehicle at all times. Would that be what some might say, "going overboard"? Thoughts?

I have not yet seen this at my store(s). Tullahoma and Manchester. Every store is different,Depending on the managers and the area of operation. Fayetteville walmart wouldn't let me buy ammo after 10 pm, But Tullahoma and Manchester will allow anyone to buy 24/7. That is assuming they have the ammo to sell. So far, since i do work in the back of a Wal mart for time being, I have seen more ammo come in than anyother local walmart( to me).

Truck tonight had no shotshells but plenty of Handgun ammo and Rifle ammo. Even the "Unicorn" .22lr in both Federal and Winchester. Also there was .22 magnums by cci. Probably will be put out tomorrow morning as there was nobody scheduled to work the Sporting goods desk tonight.

From what I understand, the ammunition makers are focusing on the manufacture of cartridges and (loaded ammo) and have put their reloading manufacture on slow to trickle. There is some out there, just not as much as you would like. All I know is we have to start looking out for each other. If I find some reloading supplies and ammo( cheap) I'll report it on here.

Anyone have experience with geothermal heating/cooling?
Wyldk2 replied to Hershmeister's topic in General Chat
When dad and I rebuilt on the same lot, he got the geothermal. We didn't have enough land for the lines to be dug so they dug wells instead. 4 of them to be exact. Geothermal unit is under the house and in one of the smaller upstairs rooms. His bill for a month is around the same cost it would to heat/cool my house in Lincoln county ( 1100 sq ft). His house is 2400 sq ft on the floor level. It's a 2-story house with about 4500 sq ft total. Thing he was looking at was the tax pay back which pays back most of the cost, and eventually ( 15 years) before we see a return on this investment. -
I have no problem with it being on vibration. The fact that there are some inconsiderate moviegoers who feel the need to use their phones ( smartphones) playing games, checking emails, etc... it in itself is. ( When you use your property to keep me and others from enjoying what we all paid $10 or more to enjoy, it infringes on our rights to enjoy some sort of freedom). Probably one reason why i don't go to the movies much, wait til it comes out on video and pay $1.50 from the redbox. Or trade with a friend.

Think the rest of us are wanting More. Been like waiting for the season 3.5 of walking dead for me. But i see enough of the walking dead in real life...........at wal-mart. lol

I wish jammers were legal to use, I could see cellphone jammers being used to stop people from using their phones during a movie( even after being told to turn them off). But then, if there were another mass-shooter wannabe at a theater, nobody could call out. If they( theaters) would only allow concealed carry by permit holders, the threat of any future shooting would not exist. Still could jam phones from the inconsiderate moviegoer next to you, and enjoy the movie.

Only got 12 ga and 20 ga shot in tonight. Everyone's getting ready for hunting season.

97 days is a bit to long to waitfor a renewal. I mailed mine off end of May and recieved the extension( piece of paper good for 90 days) 2 weeks later, then about a week after that I recieved the renewal permit at my new address. So it took me about 3 weeks total.

I haven't been in Dunham's in a while. But last time I was there, Ammo to be had was a little expensive. But they had it. Never knew about them having pistols. Thanks though, i got mine and all i need/want for a while. Not that I would buy a pistol from them, but thanks for the info.

I paid $70 for my class 4 years ago and then the $115 state fee. To me, even though i agree with you on the rights of the people shall not be infringed( paying for a right is ludicrous), It has been well worth the $ spent for a safe and sound piece of mind. Renewals are only $50 every 4 years after that, and you don't have to re-take the class if you re-new before your old permit expires.

I only report it on here to what ammo we get in. Tonight was just 12 ga and 20 ga shotgun ammo. Just the dove shot. The sporting goods area was sure busy tonight. Just sorry to say no ammo other than shotgun ammo to be had. Those in whatever stores working to make a side profit on this ought to be fired and banned from working retail ever again. Makes the rest of us hard working retail workers look bad.

I had toldmy neighbor a few weeks ago that Manchester wal-mart got some .22 in and she waited til yesterday to go get some and therewas none to be had. She wasn't aware of the high demand for .22 ammo. So for her permit class I am giving her some ammo. From my personal stash i had built up before all this nonsense. Speaking of which, this Ammo shortage is seeming to not disappear anytime soon. Seems the more ammo sent out, the more the scalpers and hoarders get. I know as soon as my wal-mart gets ammo in it goes to the shelf, Not being stopped by guys at the doors. You have to pay for it at the sporting goods register or have an employee walk you "with your 2 box limit" to the front registers. Compared to other rural walmarts( outside of the major cities and population centers), Fayetteville wal-mart seemed to have the better selection of ammo ( least it wasn't kept behind the counter in a locked case but behind the counter on an aisle ( locked up) but where you could see what is there. There was no hiding behind the counter.

We got in 9mm, .40 cal and 45 cal. FMJ. And have .22 magnum if anyone needs any. When I left at 1:45 this morning( AM) i noticed one box of 9mm left, one box of .40 and a couple boxes of 45 left. Plenty of the CCI magnums left though. They will all be gone tomorrow though. Unloaded 2 trucks tonight and only recieved 4 boxes of ammo. One was shotgun ammo so it really didn't count. So Ammo is slowly trickling in. Just you have to be at the right time and place to buy it.

Show grounds may be HCP friendly. But the Stadium may not. I will post more when i have better info. Concealing may be the best option though. I have never carried there or did I feel the need to carry. But this was way before i got into guns.

The person who calls walmart 6 times in one day and then argues with the clerk when the ammo isn't there, plus the caller/arguer supposedly has an app on his phone that tells him when ammo shipments arrive and what is on the truck. You think he's a scalper or a regular joe? I think the first one. The app for android does not exist. I'm not sure if the Apple one exists either. I think the guy was trying to pull a fast one.

I already have, i work for so little now, I cannot afford to shoot for a while. Might just have to get back into my cheaper hobbies.

And there seems to be no cure to that. I have been following the past instances of his idiocracy and have wondered what would it take to stop someone like him. He seems like an attention whore. If everybody ignored him, he might just fade away.
