  1. I have read this a few times and still enjoy it when I see it.
  2. Have a safe trip home! Thank you for your service!
  3. I do the same thing but use, "dot or feather?".

10-4. In you pic it is portrayed as an actual .22 pengun which falls under the NFA. So I was just wondering. Thanks for the information though.
  5. You are not going to go wrong with any of the "big names". AAC, Gemtech, Surefire, KAC ($$$) all make great stuff. You just need to decide exactly what you want in a suppressor. Do you want a quick detach? Do you want a lightweight one? Do you want a sealed or non-sealed can? You need to consider all of these things before you buy a suppressor because most likely you will keep it forever.
  6. The 16 inch rule has been in affect since 1934 (rimfire) and in 1960 the NFA was amended to include centerfire rifles. As far as the logic behind it, who knows what they were thinking?

Do you have paperwork on the pengun?
  8. That is a damn fine carry rig. Hard to be a Glock 23 in a Galco.
  9. Way to go guys! Its not about getting one, its about spending good quality time together. I will never foget the memories my Dad and I made on the youth hunts over the years. I am almost 23 and we are still hunting together.

    Attn Vol Fans

I think the black jerseys brought a little swagger with them. Even the coaches are wearing black. I think they look good.

I doubt many Cock fans will be at the game since most gas stations stay open 24 hours now. GO VOLS!

Over on volnation there is 30+ pages talking about this "blackout". Some people say yea we are and some say no. Some said that players were talking about the black pants being delievered on Thurs.. I have also heard that UT is going to wear all orange and the gameCOCKs are going to wear all black. I have also heard that UT will wear black pants and orange jerseys with black trim. So I really dont know what they are going to come out wearing and I dont care as long as they win. But if I had to vote I would want the black pants and and orange jersey with black trim. GO VOLS!

    Kimber or SA?

I like the Springfield. But you arent going to go wrong with either one.
  14. Sorry man. You and yours are in my thoughts. I think when you get what exactly they were we will be able to help you out a little more.
  15. Ive never had any problems out of the Kahr I have, and havent heard of any others rusting. The only other gun I have heard about a few times has been Ruger LCP's. The slides seem to rust pretty easy on them. +1 on wiping down with gun oil before you store them, I do all mine this way and have never had any problems.
  16. This thread isnt the place for debate but yes you do have to engrave any item you form 1 and "manufacture". Check the NFA handbook section 6.2.1 and section 7.4.
  17. Never heard of any barrel life issues. I dont know why .22 would have any other effect on the barrel other than making it last longer. I probably have 1500 rounds through mine with no issues what so ever. I have a Ceiner kit by the way.
  18. Thats great Caveman. We need more like you. Now when are you going to open a store in Nashville?
  19. That is the thing about the FNAR, to me its just ugly. They seem like very well built guns. But I just cant get over the looks.
  20. Ok I checked prices today. The M1A is going to cost around $640 more than the 700. As far as the FNAR, I'm just not into them at all. Also this gun isnt going to be used as a hunting gun. I might take it out once or twice for and giggles, but thats it. And I just like the long barrel, I like the way they look. As far as bases and rings if I got the 700 I would go with Badger all the way. And the M1A I have no idea about the base. All I know is that most guys have to use extra-low or low rings.
  21. Its Westmoreland not "West Moreland" and its definitely in TN. Its just north of me. Great looking good. I cant wait to hear a range report and see some shot up targets.
  22. Yea it is getting kinda old.
  23. Already got 2 Garands, one a WWII vintage SA and one HRA. You are probably right about the 700 VLS but I like to be A.T.A.S.
  24. I'm looking for new rifle and I cant decide between a Remington 700 Police (.308) or a Springfield loaded M1A. Either one will be scoped (prob. a Leupold Mark 4) and will be used to punch holes in paper. I might deer hunt with it if I get a wild hair. 400 yards is most likely the longest distance I will shoot with it. The M1A is just badass but I think the 700 will be more accurate. So help me decide. Do I need This. Or this?
