  1. How many years have you been thrashing it? That's the true test. I also think they should have put the Bronco II on the list. It preceded the Sploder and was/is a killer offraod toy.
  2. As a long time offroader, I agree. A CRV...really??
  3. deleted. Suffice it to say, I would just stay clear of my home if you are a government agent of any kind. The results will not be good for any party involved.
  4. I've got a WASR10. I play both sides of the AK/AR field...
  5. I like the pic. I've been in the worst places on earth, and I do not get intimidated, ever. I dare ANYBODY to F with my family...EVER.
  6. This is why I wear Carhartt and Dickies.
  7. I second getting her a .22 and a plinker. My wife was totally opposed to guns as recently as a couple of years ago. Then I told her I was bringing my guns back in the house, and I didn't are what she thought of it. I bought a .22 for my son, and took them to the range one day last summer, and on the way back into to town we had to stop and get her her own .22. Now she has a Taurus PT709 Slim and a HCP. Also, just don't give her the option. Tell her she's going to the range with you on Saturday and she's going to learn how to shoot, because her safety depends upon it, and your job as a husband is to always keep her safe.
  8. TN Livestock Fencing Laws Tennessee Livestock Laws Had to check some stuff out the other day myself.
  9. A vehicle can most definitely be used as a deadly weapon, but once it is past you the threat no longer exists. If it stops and backs up toward you, or if it turns around and comes back, that is different. Probably should have remained holstered on this one. I'm kind of wondering why you told the cop you had a gun to begin with.
  10. I am sorry for your loos, but greatly thankful for the sacrifice that your family has made for the rest of us. All service members make this decision freely, and that speaks volumes of their character.

    Taurus Pt-92

Nice! I actually carry mine a lot...
  12. Just a thought, but don't we all turn over our right to privacy whenever we hand that information out?
  13. what is a douche-lord? Did I win??
  14. I have one, but I'm up in Bristol, too. If I were you, I'd go ahead and buy one, because it can end up being some of the best money you've ever spent. They are a very handy, multi-purpose tool to have around the house, and they aren't too expensive. If you don't have the dough right now, though, I second the hacksaw idea.
  15. I've spent the last half our going through his web site and I am unable to find any link to that particular piece at all. I was hoping to find a response of some sort, bece if a few from this site wrote, I'm sure many from all over the country wrote. The blogs were going crazy about it. Not a thing, though, I'm interested to see the upcoming weeks ratings for his show to see if they have a drop at all. I am doubting it at this point.
  16. What was left of Mayor Ray Nagin's PD sure found the time!
  17. learn something new every day...
  18. I could care less if he reads it on air. I was really just venting. He doesn't get it on many issues and he never will. He is a elitist, hot air blowing mouthpiece.
  19. Here's the one I sent last night (I wasn't in a mood to be "pithy"):
  20. Oreilly had the founder of Oath Keepers on his show last night in a attempt to make the guy look bad. After a pretty good back and forth exchange, the elitist Oreilly said that for soldiers to disobey unconstitutional orders would be subjective, and put the military in a dangerous place. Obviously he has no idea of how the UCMJ works. He also stated that what Nagin did by confiscating guns from citizens after Katrina was fine and proper because there was not law and order. He went on to say that the confiscation of guns any time a state of emergency is called would be fine. I guess he doesn't understand that these local governments call a state of emergency at the drop of a hat these days in order to get the federal money that stems from it. I sent in a letter explaining where he was wrong, but I guess I'll never hear anything back from them. I have to head out to the VA right now, and don't have time to find a link, but if you guys can find one to last night's interview, please post it.
  21. That was pretty much our thoughts on the first few days. I was going to be 42 when our son turned 18, and I was really looking forward to it. Apparently there was bigger things in the hopper for us, though, so we don't have a choice but to deal with it. To be honest, I am starting to get excited now. We have decided to buy a larger house and keep our current house for a income property. We have pre-qualified for a mortgage, and I am calling our realtor this morning. We hope to start looking at properties this weekend. There is a ton of stuff I need to do around the house, and otherwise, so I will be nice and busy for a while. That is good since I am bored most days. The only thing that is really making me worry (I'm merely concerned about everything else now) is that I am not sure how I will keep up with a toddler with my spinal conditions. I'll just have to do my best and figure out a way to get some help when I need it.
  22. I have both, and also a SKS, and I can say that the AR is the most accurate, but then again it has a EOTech sitting on top. If I got EMP'd, and had to flip up the iron sight, it would be a toss up on accuracy between the AR and the SKS, but the AR would edge out because that's what I am most used to. If you want ruggedness, there is no doubt that the AK is the hands down winner. Nothing stops it. I have loaded empty hulls in a magazine, between live rounds, in order to practice clearing a malfunction, and the darn thing chewed them up and spit them out somehow. Darndest thing I ever saw...
  23. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
  24. We're doing our best to be positive, excited and overjoyed. The initial shock is beginning to wear off, and the realities of what we need to do in preparation are setting in. They way we see it, God wanted us to have this child for a reason, and you don't screw with God's will (even though we are a mixed-religion couple and neither of us are very religious). Who knows, maybe this kid will change the world for the better. We already know our son will. He just brought home his second straight A report card from the 7th grade...which is the grade I failed in school due to laziness. I feel the need to brag, because he is smoking it! Awesome kid! Extremely intelligent and a very hard worker.
  25. Good to see you on here, JAB! Yeah, I think the Jeep will be ok. We also have the sploder. We were thinking of trading the sploder, but that's on hold until we can figure out what to do about the house situation.
