  1. Of the 4 major rimfire brands, CCI has easily been the most reliable for me in a variety of guns. It's more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
  2. At the time, I was a little kid getting chased by 3-4 big kids...we were all on bicycles. I got to a point where I ducked down an alley and was looking backwards to see if they spotted/followed me. While doing this, and feeling pretty smug that I had ditched them, I slammed into the back of a parked car. I launched over the handlebars and ended up doing a bellyflop onto the roof of the car. While laying on the roof of said car, taking an inventory of what might be damaged, the door opens up and the hottest 18-20 year old girl gets out from behind the wheel and starts asking the cute little idiot if he's OK. I was, but I couldn't even make a fast exit from total embarrassment because the front tire of my bike was bashed in. If a 10 year old can have any "cool points," he lost them all that day. I would have gladly taken the beating instead...
  3. 9mm / .40 / .45 None are "useless." However, I'll take a 9mm (I'm now issued a .40). 9mm -more bullets -less recoil for faster follow-ups -cheaper -realistically, stopping power is pretty much the same with all three using proper load selection and shot placement

    Info on 1911

Definate pass...for many of the mentioned, valid reasons.
  5. I've been using a Don Hume for about 10 years...the same one. It still looks great and is the best belt I've ever used. The B-109 series... http://www.donhume.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=8&zenid=kkm3ukvdnnhq5do86504mjqmc0 PS. I use and prefer 1.25" belts. Hume's 1.25" offers plenty of stability and is more appropriate for "dressier" occasions. Hume has 1.5" belts as well.
  6. Been thinking about doing this again (hadn't done it since the military). What times are you logging?
  7. Wrong. When a suspect attacks two people with blunt force weapons, generally deadly force is authorized. There is no "different standard."
  8. Based on what I've read, Agent Clark's actions were totally justified.
  9. Good site for some great ideas. I typically don't do the "WOD", but pick and choose exercises from their excellent tutorial list. www.crossfit.com
  10. How did YOU know it was a Scooby Doo fishing pole?
  11. With the new sights as mentioned in post #25. If the elevation is on (should be), this sight picture is awesome. This pic isn't even worth posting, sorry. This sight picture mimics my AK sight pictures...Big Dot front, standard rear "U-ed" with a 5/32" circular file. Because I like my AK sight pictures so much, I'm also fooling around with my AR. I took the optic off, added a Big Dot front sight, Daniel Defense 1.5 rear sight... http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27483/Product/AR_15_M16_FIXED_BACKUP_SIGHTS ...and this aperature. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=25128/Product/AR_15_M16_CQB_NOTCH_PEEP_SIGHT I took the same circular file, "U-ed" out the notch, and mounted the rear sight all the way forward on the receiver. I'll play with it in the next few days.
  12. Personal preference and I wouldn't agree. I have always shot semis faster and more accurate than revolvers. Semis also fit my hand much better. To the OP, G19 or 4.25" 1911...which ever one I've been shooting more at the time (last several years it would be the G19).
  13. I'm in Rutherford Co (Glock Armorer with sight tools) and I'll do it for free if nothing else works out.
  14. That will NEVER happen. Years ago an officer from a neighboring agency shot himself in the ass with a 1911. Our Command Staff has been anti-1911 ever since.
  15. Sight-wise, I'm think I'm going with a XS Big Dot tritium front http://www.xssights.com/sightimages.html and Novak Half-Ghost tritium rear. http://novaksights.com/images/sights/sf%20with%20novak/LMC-03-GS-NS.jpg Also, I've been using these mags for the first time and have been very pleased so for. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=51891/pid=26647/sku/8_Rd_Govt__Low_Profile_Mag
